I was very pleased with the people, care, and timely service I received. However, I was not pleased with some of my videos. I accepted that some of them might be "grayish" or washed out with age, but I am not happy with the few that were almost too dark to watch. I don't know if this was in the process or what. Overall, we are happy to have our films digitized, so that we can watch most of them again.

When we do the digital conversion of film reels, they are cleaned and put through a color correction process. We can not however add light where it did not exist originally. They converted 60-year old super 8 footage without a hitch. The web site can be a little wiggy, but customer service is outstanding!

Good but I would have expected to be notified that some of our tapes were too dark to view

Films are put through different techniques and a color correction process to help them look their best, but adding light where it did not originally exist is outside of the digital conversion process iMemories offers. Customer service is on par; however, the copies of my VHS tapes are terrible. I sent them back with pictures of the same slides, comparing the quality of the VHS tape at same timing of the DVD and there is a significant distinction. There were some changes made to some of them, but not all. It's as though customer service has not even looked at the quality of the videos. There seems to be a serious miscommunication between customer service and the video technicians. They didn't even try to redo all of them. It's utterly ridiculous. It's merely a tracking issue, and for some reason, the quality of my home VHS player is better than that of your studio, and I don't even have to adjust the tracking at home. And I haven't even received my VHS or DVD's from the redo! I have spent so much money for your service and am completely disgusted, and I still need you to send my media back to me so I can start all over with another company with decent VHS players. Still waiting. This has been ongoing since June of last year! PLEASE look into this for me. Our memories are in your hands, figuratively and literally, and there are videos of past loved ones that we would love to revisit.
Hi Corina, Thank you for speaking with me and allowing us to try and resolve the issues with the videos. We originally processed the VHS tapes in June of last year. We completely understand how important your memories are and want to get the best quality video we can for you. After you contacted us regarding the quality issues, we did give you the information on how to send them back to us. so we could reprocess them at no charge. We received the tapes and DVDs back in January. Our team did extensive research, running these numerous times through different equipment. It was escalated to our department lead to make sure the videos we uploaded are the best we can get based on the original tapes. They were able to clean up a lot of the static you were seeing and we will be making the new DVDs for you. As we discussed, we have also issued a partial refund for the order and the monthly subscription. Your patience and understanding mean the world to us as we work to make things right for you.
So happy to receive my memories but would have rather had them on cd's and the quality was not so good. Lots of fuzzy lines going through the pictures

I'm very computer illiterate4 but most times I can br4ing up my videos. I said they could be put on dvd the way you have them as I can't change them up. As long as they are all on dvd I'm happy.

I was a little disappointed with the quality. I understand these are old VHS tapes but I thought they wouks clean them up a little and take out all the static or pixel issues. I'll try to edit myself.

I've had VHS tapes stored in our closet for years. Had them sent to IMemories and converted to digital. Now my daughters can view them whenever they want to. Best money I ever spent.
