IMemories lost one of my tapes and then lied about it. And it was a ridiculous lie.
Get this: I sent them 14 tapes. When they were finally digitized and processed, I noticed that one of the tapes that appeared on their site was not mine. It was video of a different family, all strangers. Plus my 14th tape (a super sentimental and irreplaceable video of the day our son was born) was missing!
After a months long "investigation," they concluded that the 14th tape I sent them was the other family's tape. In other words, I was the one who sent them the other family's video! When they finally returned my box of tapes, there were only 13 tapes. Bottom line: they lose tapes and then blame you, even when the explanation is ridiculous.
I will never use them again. The entire purpose of their business is to help preserve analog memories. Instead, they permanently lose them. And then lie about it. At a minimum, they should own up to their error and apologize. But nope, that didn't happen. Doing the right thing is another thing they have lost.
It was so weird and nostalgic to see my memories from the '90s. Fast turn around time, and I got my tapes back about 2 weeks after I viewed my digitized copies! So thankful for this service!

This is just an amazing service, it's thrilling to be able to re-live our memories. I just wish that empty or damaged tapes could be set aside and we not be charged for them. Other than that, absolutely fabulous!
So happy I got my order in and can view my tapes online without downloading them all or the link expiring because I do not want to take up all my storage in doing this. It was very expensive though.

The problem that I had was that no matter the amount of recording on a tape / disk, the price was the same. So some disks had hours of recordings, others had only 10 mintutes. It was the same price, regardless. The quality is good, though, and I'm happy with the digital recordings.
IMemories made it very simple to do everything I needed. I just wish that they would give more time for me to use the cloud until I get it converted and put into a permanent place
Converted our old VHS tapes. They were done fairly quick. All our tapes were returned. Sent them more to do. They are affordable.

Thought that for $400 we would have gotten more than a short window thru the app to download our videos. No DVD, Zip Drive, nothing. Now we have to sign up for the monthly sub to again download our stuff to our own Zip drive

IMemories has an exclusive feature with the digital conversion. Instead of just doing the digital conversion and putting your video on DVDs or USB drives and sending everything back to you, we give every customer 30 days of free online access to view, edit, share and decide how you want to save your memories.
The iMemories cloud storage subscription is completely optional. It is one of the four ways customers have to save their memories. You can also purchase customized DVDs/USB drive(s) or download and save to your own computer or devices at no charge. We want to ensure customers are able to save their memories in the way that works best for them! If the cloud storage subscription is not the best option for you, we can certainly assist you with saving your memories in another way. So easy to use. If you're transferring video, be sure the service transfers the audio portion also. Some don't. Memories does!

Sent in 3 VHS tapes, the newest being over 30 years old. All were digitized and even labeled according to the notes on the outside of the tape box. It was completed in just a couple of days and we were able to view online very easily. The original tapes were returned a few days later. Very impressive!
Loved being able to watch old home videos from my phone and share across social media. Be aware that your initial payment does not allow you to be able to stream forever - you'll have to pay for a storage plan or download onto USB afterwards. I also wish the pause and rewind / fast forward was a little easier from the app and it showed little image clips when doing so.
