Conversion went well. Total turn around time was a little longer than expected (About 4 weeks), but that was just me. Customer Service was very professional and helpful. Quality of conversion was great. Would definitely consider using them again if the need arises.
When my father passed, I had two boxes of slides and 8 and16 mm reels of film that he had given me. IMemories was able to digitize the slides. The film reels were very old and in poor condition, but IMemories was able to digitize some of those as well. Some of the film was at least 60 years old so I was satisfied when any of it could be salvaged. I bought USBs of all the files and sent them to cousins who had never seen these images. For one cousin, it was a chance to see her father, who passed away early from cancer, as a young man, how it was before she was born. These would have been lost without the help of the IMemories process.
I had so many videos of my now adult children through their childhood. Not having a vcr for many years meant not seeing these videos for a VERY long time. I Memories did a great job and I love being able to share the videos with my family.
It's amazing to be able to watch my 21 year old as a baby again and to see my step dad who passed away 2 years ago! Memories are so precious to me.
On one of our videos (from a very old no sound movie) whomever was copying the video kept coughing and that's what we hear throughout the entire old movie is the person coughing. That was disappointing to have to sit through and watch old memories.

Production quality is excellent and timely. This was our third order with Imemories. The only problem was misunderstanding on line instructions. I thought I was ordering transfer to DVDs. However, it was only delivered on-line. And then, I was not made aware that the on-line access would start charging after 30 days. The ordering on-line needs to be more informative.
I appreciate that all this material has been converted for me. I just did not understand what digital really meant. I thought I would receive the material on thumb drives or something. So I do have to set up a membership to be able to access my videos. I may not have read the instructions thoroughly but the experience was quite good.
I sent 3 videotapes to be digitized, Heard nothing. Finally, after calls, I was sent one, with nonexplanatiin about the other 2. Again, after calls, I was told the 2 tapes had some material - like a screenshot of a news broadcast? Again, not clear — that did not allow them to be digitized. There was also some confusion with the charge. Overall, not happy, would not recommend.
I have twice sent iMemories hundreds of photos for scanning. I received the digital downloads promptly and the originals back promptly as well. The quality of the scans is great and well worth the money.
The digital conversion of my nearly 2000 photographs was better than I expected. Love it. However, the app is nearly useless. I subscribed for a year of service thinking I would move my existing digital photos to their app, but it is horrible. No customization, and manipulation of photos is not easy at all. I will be discontinuing the service and moving all of my photos into something more user friendly. Darn shame.
Had several VHS cassettes converted to digital. It had been a long time since I had viewed any of the cassettes, but I don't remember there being any poor quality, bad tracking or blurry ones. Unfortunately, most of what I received back were all of the above. I don't know if tapes degrade over time, but either that or something occurred during the conversion that clearly affected the quality of the video.
I sent in 27 VHS tapes from years ago. IMemories was able to digitalize all of them. Now all our wonderful memories are saved, safe, and being enjoyed by all my family. We did have to redo one section of one tape, but there was no charge and it was sent back corrected. Thank you.
I was billed over $800 (found a coupon to bring it down to $400+) to convert old 8mm reels. There were 27 3 minute reels. I thought that the order I paid for would include a thumb drive or dvd of the videos. Instead, I was sent a link and now have to PAY for a subscription to keep seeing the online clips. I could have ordered multiple DVDS and thumb drives from Legacy Box for less than this link that I have to keep paying for!

Hi Maureen, Thank you for your feedback. Orders do take about 3-4 weeks to complete. We do send an email when your first videos are online and a second when the order is complete and everything is online to view. There were two videotapes that did not contain any home video. They were all copyrighted recorded TV. By law we can not process any cpyrighted media such as Hollywood movies, television shows, and news broadcasts without a copyright release. We do update customers with all order issues throughout the order process in the Order Status section of your account.
