I converted old tapes and gave them to my husband for his birthday…so many great memories and the kids loved seeing their dad when he was little! We so enjoyed watching the movies as a family and it was super convenient from the app! LOVE iMemories!
My mom had a bunch of old hi8 tapes and no way of watching them. She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so I took them all and sent them in. After they were delivered i was able to watch all my videos online the next day! It was a wonderful time watching all of them with the family together, a lot of forgotten memories brought back to life.
It is amazing, taking old memories and bringing them to the digital world.
They tried very hard to please. My vhs tapes were very old but they redid each one again to try and get the best quality for me.

The initial attention grab was digital conversion for $14.95 on sale. What they don't put in the easy to read part is that this is for mailing your film to them. Then they let you know how much for the digital copy ($60+ for one Sony video camera cassette in my case) and another $14.95 if you want the original returned.
Overall process was fairly easy. Fast turnaround time. Was able to view my digitalized tapes online & download in a few steps. Also sent in a tape with water damage, and although not all of the tape could be restored, quite a bit was saved!
I was very pleased with the transfer of my VHS tapes to blu-ray disc. I also liked the opportunity to arrange and title them on site.
I wanted to give the gift of memories to my daughter celebrating her 40th birthday! We all have loved seeing our memories again and look forward to digitizing more.
The email letting me know that the pictures were ready didn't allow me to just sign onto the site. It
asked if I wanted to reset my password. Navigating the website after receipt of the digital emails that parts of the order were ready was painful and took many tries. I never got an email stating that the order was fully complete. The order did process faster than advertised. After receipt of the first email detailling parts of the order were complete, I did check every few days if the rest of the order was available. This is how I found that the order had been completed. That and I received the box of media back. The quality was okay, not great.

Several years ago, I had a couple dozen old video tapes and films converted and put on IMemories. I'm not terribly proficient with technology, but this project went very smoothly, and it was a joy to have access to those old films. We've used clips for memorial services, and in hospice, Recently, my sister found another half dozen films from the 1950s and sent them to me. I sent them off, packed in one of those sturdy boxes they send you, and within just a few weeks it was all online. My siblings and cousins have loved seeing themselves as children, their parents happy young people, and sharing with their own children and grandchildren. These are real treasures!
Service was excellent. Quality of videos not so good, as they had been around for many years. Wish I had done this years ago.

It is scary to mail off all of your family videos to a company. IMemories make it very easy. They let you know when they receive it and keep you posted as items are completed. They let me know right away the items they could not convert. The service was excellent. Very easy to call and speak with a person and they called me to make sure I was happy with the outcome and quality of the videos.

Perhaps it was my father in law's old slides, but they didn't look as good in digital as with an old school side projector, or even handheld viewer.

Depending on how you are viewing them, computer, TV screen or mobile device you may need to adjust the settings some. Everyone keeps their screens set up differently, so they may not be as bright as when you view the originals.
