I bought IL Makiage self-tan a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, this product made me physically sick. And I had used other so-called 'natural' self-tans before without such drastic reactions. The smell of IL Makiage self-tan is appalling and it made me feel nauseous. Faithfully though, I gave it a couple of more tries, following the instruction and only used it on my face. Still I felt unwell after each application. I wrote to the company explaining my experience and asking about what exactly they put into this self-tan to make me feel so unwell. The company representative told me that 'regrettably' they don't possess information about individual ingredients; they just list them on their website. Well, regrettably, this lack of knowledge doesn't mean that IL Makiage shouldn't follow the law. For example, PEGs are prohibited in Europe but their self-tan contains PEG-5 annd is sold in Europe. Also, Polysorbate 20 can be classified as carcinogen if contaminated with 1,4dioxane during manufacturing. But how shall we know whether IL Makiage products are contaminated with this harmful chemical or not if they don't have any details about individual ingredients. I was told to stay beautiful by the IL Makiage rep and I certainly will, but without ever again touching any of IL Makiage products.
I was able to use the Try Before You Buy feature on Il Makiage for the Woke Up Like This Flawless Foundation. I really appreciate having this option before making the full commitment. It turns out the product is excellent and I bought it anyway! I didn't need any help via customer service but I did receive an email as soon as I signed up for Try Before You Buy so I imagine the customer service is excellent as well. Highly recommend!
I had some issue with the delivery of my order because I made a mistake with my apartment number. These guys were so nice about it even when it wasn't their fault. They gave me a gift card and refunded my shipping fee. I made a new order with them an I don't regret it one bit. Their services are awesome.

Good coverage—hides the red undertones. My powder i wear on top doesnt look so good after a couple hours of wear. I tried the poreless primer with it to see if it improves but i start getting little acne bumps within hours. So that was a no for me. People i know have told me that my skin looks great so that is a plus.
Also dont randomly press any buttons on their website cause you might just accidentally buy something. Worse than the buy now button on amazon. I hit up customer service to cancel but told it was already shipping and to return it. I was peeved that the website was so touchy i didnt even want to use it anymore. I ended up trying to return it and reached out to customer service and they took care of me quickly. So as you can see this was a so-so experience. This didnt knock my socks off. I appreciate how well the shade matches.
