First it's hard to get to, then you have to wait forever to reach a verification page, which is followed by transferring to your phone where you have another interminable wait for a verification page, then the instructions to access your camera are oblique, and after fighting for over an hour, the part of the IRS website I needed doesn't require logging in through this process.

The horrible "take a selfie" software kept giving conflicting instructions on getting a picture while I didn't move the camera. At the same time, it said "move closer " then "too close." After an hour of frustration, I was finally given the option of video chatting with an agent, who quickly completed the process.

This system wasted more than four hours of my time today. I had to stop and restart it many times because it wouldn't complete. Then In the middle of it, I even got an email saying I had completed it. When I tried to sign in, it started me over again from the beginning, back into the loop. Horrible system.

I needed to register with ID.me in order to access the IRS website. The process was much faster and easier than I thought it would be and I was able to successfully get the information I needed off the IRS website.

Oh I logged in and I had a new phone number told him I had a new phone number they let me change it to login but when I tried to change it on my profile, it wouldn't let me do it. It has *******004 and my phone number is *******674

I had only used the I.D. me one other time and it was not too easy. So I decided to give it another try. Same camera and instructions about the same, but something had changed and made it so much simpler and easy to do. I think it had to do with the way the instructions were written, any way I found it quick and easy and very enjoyable to accomplish/
Had to try like 6 different times to get through cuz it would either freeze on me or it would take me to the next page but minutes after. So it would say give it 15 seconds & 3 min later it was loading still. I got tired of trying. I spent over 30 min on it. Glad I was able to get it done after.
