Most absurd process and experience ever. They will make you go through 100 hoops to "prove" your identity all with the net result of trying to pay your taxes. Does the IRS or Government actually think that a stranger will sign-up to pay someone else's taxes? Maybe instead of using taxpayer dollars to prove your identity so you can pay your taxes, maybe we should use this sort of rigorous, 100 hoops process to prove one's identity to cast a VOTE! Imagine that possibility. It's 3 HOURS I will never get back. Defund ID.me now and put money towards VOTER ID.me now.
Good to verify with identity card and change the address for any future communication therefore ups doesn't have to find my present address.

Good. I thought they were too picky about the pics I took. I re-did the photos several times. The site is programmed well. It allowed you to stay online for long peropds of time. It takes more than 10-15 minutes to do as they had suggested. I was afraid to hit the save and exit button, not knowing what it would do. I let my service save my signin info. It did let me find some documents they required a pic of. I think a PDF could be a type of document you can upload. I usually make a pdf of some pics I want to save. A video or explanatory sequence of pics you can click to watch or do may help.
I was not sure how to go about it but as I followed the instructions given and gave the required answers it was smooth and encouraging. I had tried doing it on phone but the wwaiting was uncomfortable and they kept on saying it is easier and faster to do it online. I did that and I was not disappointed. I recommend online method to anybody who want swift action.stress free.

Sooo...I was bit frustrated that I had to go through an additional level for ID verification, the entire process was actually pleasant. I was consistently kept informed of my wait time, which was beyond appreciated (that helped with multi-tasking)! But most importantly when I was connected via video chat a customer service agent, she was professional, personable and kind. So way to go!
