I am a 71 year old retired male who lives alone in a rural area of the Rocky Mountains. I have tremors which makes taking a quality picture of the documents ID.me required was nearly impossible. I tried taking different photos daily for almost 2 weeks and had no luck. Contacting and talking to a real person is impossible. I finally built a platform that allowed me to take photos that were finally verifiable only to find that I would have to endure a video chat. I waited online for 20 minutes to begin the video chat that at the end the representative told me I would receive 2 emails. As of yet, I am still waiting for the emails. I am so disgusted with ID.me that I will be contacting my elected state representatives to voice my discontent and discuss the monopoly ID.me has to accessing the IRS.gov website. It is my hope I never have to endure ID.me or use it for access to government entities again!

Fast & easy! Very friendly & patient. The lady was so patient with me getting my ID right on the camera. I highly recommend.
Logging on was the easy part, but everything is live so you have to know how to use your phone camera, have your IDs ready, have your tax forms ready, have your legal notice and be able to navigate through multiple authentications including your cell phone, your landline, your email and enter all the data required in multiple modes. I know many seniors who are not tech savvy will have trouble.
I love it, it's really nice n helpful all people should know about this app and use of it and should understand the importance of this app.
The web sight doesn't allow you to complete the verification process. However not before they get all off your really personal information. I am worried they're stealing my identity and are a malicious sight. Beware!
