I'm not a fan of the collection of biometrics. I don't have it set up on my phone for a reason. It's intrusive and I don't feel confident that all my personal information is kept secure and private electronically. Nothing is completely secure in this day and age.

Looks like the news is true that ID.me has improved in significant ways. On the night before the annual tax deadline, the time I often spend dreading a login through ID.me was reduced from about 10 to under 5 minutes.
While getting the documents uploaded was easy enough, there were some compatibility issues with completing the self-service process on an android device. I had to use a video agent to complete to process.
Dealing with the video agent was frustrating to say the least, their condescending, accusatory attitude made getting through the a last portion a real test of patience.
If these video agents are an example of the types of people working at ID.me, I don't have much confidence they will keep the document information they collected secure and be surprised the were leaked on a data breach in the future.
This whole experience was a joke. I shouldn't have to identify myself, since I was born in this country. The process did not work for weeks. Video would never load to take my "selfie". When it finally did, it took a long time to load. The whole process is NOT an accurate way to identify someone. Anyone could have posted a "video" and say they are someone else. Funny, how this review asks that I'm not a robot

I was freaking out about not putting the right phone number to click the link for verification and deluna saved the day!
I have to first names, I have always use my second name, all my documents have shown that for all of my life, until recently when the drivers licenses allow full name (Two first names and two last names). Now this has become a problem, because the system expects the very first name, although it's never used. I entered the second name as my first name, now the system shows two first name (which are the same). I tried to correct it, but it doesn't allow me. I tired calling for help making this correction, no answers on the phone. I submitted a request to have this corrected, it was denied without explanation. I simply dislike this service.
