Recently, during Thanksgiving I lost job and I was badly apply unemployment VEC agency, I could not able to log on or get access to VEC, ID me helped right away.
ID-me is secure and easy to use once you take the time to sign up. It makes accessing a range of benefits easy and secure. And it saves a lot of headache from having to create an account for each government agency.
I mistakenly thought ID.me was a stopgap in third party scam services, attaching themselves to official government sites, in order to dupe people into thinking they are dealing with a service vetted through the government and /or ID.me. When I saw that I could be verified through them I thought it was a legit service. I was wrong.
Entered all my information and got into the useless government website designed by morons, and meant to keep you separated from the benefits you have earned

Frustrating amount of time and having to upload photo of both sides of drivers license 2 times to sign in. I wasn't sure this was a legitimate website with amount of information requested.

I was hesitant to begin the process at first, because I had privacy and security concerns. The process was simple and I was able to complete it without issues. I will use it at every opportunity as it makes it easier than trying to remember several different passwords for different agencies.

Company harvests biometric data as a condition to access basic online services for SSA and taxes. Then sells consumer information to other companies without opt-out. Even before they are hacked and our information and ID pictures are stolen, they're withholding access to basic government services without allowing them to sell our information to spammers. This means that they are not a nice company.
