Received text message that there was a message for me from SS. I did not respond to link on text message. Did not trust it. Signed in with ID me on SS website. Easy sign in, got message, printed message and done.

The ID.me process was quick and straightforward. They do an email confirmation and explain what you need next. The documents you need are listed out and the instructions for submission are clear. There was a 20 minute delay after submitting photos of the documents, then a video call where you hold the same documents up to the screen one at a time so they can see you actually handling them, with your face right there to compare. And then it's done, nothing more to it.

ID.me does not take into account that respective IDs have either a middle name initial or full middle name. Since my state driver's license ID had my middle initial which copied over to my social security account. My social security card has my full middle name. ID.me does not have a message system so that I can send a message to correct my mistake when I accepted incorrect middle name initial instead of my full middle name when I linked my ID.me to my social security account.
I am tax preparer more than 30 years. This is something new for me to verify our identity. I think that ID.me will protect and safe all information which we collect from our clients.

Once you prove your identity to ID.me one time, you need only provide them with your user I'd and password once. That's all!
I started using ID Me for quite sometime. It started with the NJ Courts for paying traffics tickets. Then, I noticed whenever I would login the site would verify me through different platforms. So I feel my internet interactions was definitely safe and worry free. The trust was extremely important and earned 💯
