I already had an ID.me account set up but this was the first time I was asked to do a video selfie. I was initially skeptical but now I realize this is more secure and harder to fake a selfie video whereas a flat photo could be used instead of a live photo and could possibly lead to identity theft. It was a very quick and easy thing to do and took very little time to get verified.
The experience was really good, the security of the system is perfect, there is nothing to complain about, I congratulate the whole team, they do a good job.

After everything that was done the video chat was the most problematic off all.
I tried to access my Social Security account using ID.me. After successfully entering my user/pswd and entering the phone verification number - ID.me then sent me back to Social Security Login - an endless loop with no access to my Social Security account. Tried using both Firefox and Chrome browsers. Same result. ID.me Does Not Work
ID.me was extremely easy to use and understand. I am glad it was not difficult and I navigated pretty quick.
A pain to get approved, but that's good extra layer of security.
