I signed up ID.me to get 10% military discount from Lowe's which went through without problem. It was very easy to signed up to verified military status to access many things that I may need for my home. However, I have problem sign-in ID.me using MFA due to my husband ID.me account and my newly signed up account by using the same email address and have different phone number. At this point I don't know how to remedy this problem. I gave 5 stars rating because it is a great app.
Beware this Orwellian experience. The IRS has enough power already, and should use a less intrusive service like login.gov.
