Log in and password won't work! It worked very well at the H&R block office but when i tried to login on mu home computer all i get is wrong pass word or log in id, why?
The process was relatively easy. I thought it would be more complicated. I did have to find another document since the utility bill didn't have my middle initial.
I set my Id. Me account back in 2022 and never thought that I would be using it again. Glad I placed my account information in a secure place. I found it easy to move around and once I was all setup it was a breeze.

Easy to work with full confidence. In the past I could reach IRS, Social Security and other official sites directly. There was always a concern whether a genuine site was reached. With ID. Me this concern is resolved.
It asked me a bunch of questions and I had to upload my documents several times, in the end it didn't let me login to the IRS giving me an error

Already had an ID Me acct. Tried to use it to sign in to view my SSA notice mentioned in an official email (I had done so successfully in the past). After entering username & info, I was informed further information was required to confirm my identity. Ok; kind of like signing up for direct deposit; front & back of drivers license then a biometric video face scan(?). After this, I got an "unsuccessful" reply with options (seek help, redo). I just went back, tried again using username/pw combo; got right in. Checked the statement. New this time was a multi paragraph list of conditions and cautions including one paragraph saying no responsibility for any use of my personal information whether for official purposes or any other reason. I probably should have stopped when I read that but I didn't.
I'm pretty used to online sign-in routines. This one was pretty bad. I feel sorry for folks who are less computer savvy having to navigate this system. Do better.
Since they don't specify which smart devices work with verification system, uploading did NOT work at first. No instructions or useful alerts or error messages are ever given, you're simply looking at a blank screen wondering what the problem is.
I am disabled an I was able to do our taxes after years of not being able to do them. ID me is so easy to set up and doing your taxes are so easy and best of all it's FREE.
It was a bit long but I felt that they covered alot of bases to help protect me at no cost. That's cool
Of course data security is a concern but we are stuck with risks to work w government agencies. The ID. Me account setup worked ok until the selfie. Then it seemed to crash and I didn't get any confirmation or error message. Not a good way for the process to end

I wasn't aware of all of this was done without my knowledge which brings me to my identity being compramised an brought to my attention in the year 2007 when I started work with corporate n since have been trying to get things in order with interference every step due to a system that now is brought out in public but there is more to this/these accounts that does not need to be public knowledge nor family it is all personal...
