If you are like me you have to verify your identity with ID.me for Edd benefits. I have waited more then a month to get verified. I still have never talked to an actual human, and my patients is honestly running thin. I wrote a support ticket and they sent me some "urgent verification" email. For everyone who sees this that urgent verification Is a scam to get you not to verify. Ive waited over 3 weeks since I emailed it and I still haven't gotten a response. Overall horrible website and I hope the CEO loses his job and goes broke.

I had to use ID.me to verify who I was thru unemployment. It has been over a month since my last unemployment payment which means most of my Bill's are past due. What does my bill being late have to do with my identity? Also had a hard time getting verified because of my pre-paid electric account they where turning that away because I dont get a bill sent to me instead I went to the electric company and had them print out something to prove I had an account which happened to be an account ledger they said the dont accept account ledgers WTF wrong with these people. They need to train their employees better on behalf of what is accepted and what is not.

If I could give zero stars I would. Their app hangs up while you are trying to do identification verification. Photo uploads don't verify. There is no phone support. Email support is extremely slow. Waiting on video verification for over an hour. Very unhappy with this system for verifying Florida employment info.

First of all you cant get a hold of a human being to help you. Second the system does not work. The system is not sending me the texts for the link to upload a selfie to identify myself. Its not even sending me any texts. I submitted Three tickets no one has sent me an emailed reply. It did not advise to send my phone number. It says it has people there to assist 24/7. Nor does it leave me the option for a virtual assistant. Well no one has assisted me. Nothing works on this site. I need to get paid for my unemployment. I have less than 5 days to get this fixed and it looks like nothing is happening. Why would any any state government use this site when nothing works or they are not capable of handling the volume. Terrible service

They suck. The only phone number they have sends you back to email and they wont talk to you without a $#*!load of documents that you cant get due to the pandimic. They are supposed to help you and they just screw you without haveing the curtacy to even speak to you. I sent the required documents countless times only to be told that I couldn't be verified because of my phone number not being recognized. Countless times I waited for hours for a "referee" to have a video conference to verify my identity for unemployment but could never get through. Finally at 9 something last night I got through and was verified by some young looking kid sitting at home on his computer! I felt leary about showing the documents needed but am desperate because my electric and gas will be shut off on the 15th. The phone number on their website I called required a extension. Currently I'm trying to file a formal complaint against them to my states government officials but so far I haven't been given a answer on who to file it to. Im even looking into getting a class action lawsuit...

Idme was asking for wayvto much personal info alot more than is required to verify a persons identity. Bank account numbers. And things of that nature. Then would not verify me due to my phone number. A phone number has no bearings on someones identity. Numbes get recycled daily one phone could have been to 10 diffent people over time. When some one quits using a phone number there generally issue back out. Also when i finally get my referee interview its a foriegn national that can barely speak english. And you can tell that this person is at a home on there laptop how is that secure.

I have to go through all this confusion too unlocked my account. Then when I do get through the process you guys have me waiting 2hr plus for a REFEREE on video call. This is ridiculous because of how long you have to wait for someone to accept the video call WERE ARE YOUR WORKERS! This is the worlds most Poor customer care in the world. FINALLY got verified, BUT: I had to do it at 3am, after waiting for over 5 hours. That's LITERALLY waiting in front of my laptop for 5+ hours. I did this 3 different times. Once the referee finally connected with me, he was pleasant, professional and helped to complete the tedious process. Have not heard a word from EDD though. NO confirmation or acknowledgement at all. So NOW WHAT? LOL

I have been sent thru my pua portal Nov. 13 2020 to be verified in thinking yes thank you since I had no payment since June 6 2020 because the flag. I thought Christmas for my kids but after days I was verified still nothing I did email id.me they said everything was done correctly I was verified 2x I email and was told this nothing from pua yet then I finally got a hold of pua in Jan. 2021 they said nothing was received from ID.ME I tried emailing ID.ME many time but no response yet I told them hey I wasn't paid from June 2020 this money is really needed for my family to live still nothing I don't no what else to do. This is the most annoying sites I have ever encountered. Yes it may have been a good idea to have this but if you stop anywhere in the process you are screwed. Basically you would have to create another email because once you created an account there are no continue buttons and if you use the help section it leads you to article after article and no continue link. Yes you may try support and enter a submitted ticket but who knows when you will receive a reply ( they even send you an email stating this) well no brainer right maybe fix the site so there will not be any problems

ID verification finally verified. I had to go back to original email from Edd, the email that says you have 10 days to verify. Click on host link, follow steps as if you are filing for unemployment. Hint - only use your phone to complete the process(not IPad and phone together), make sure cookies on your browser are not blocked. After two weeks of unsuccessfully waiting on replies that could help me, this is how I successfully uploaded my docs and ID.me confirmed today 1-29-21. Go back to your original email from EDD the one that says you have 10 days to verify. Click ID.me, follow steps as if you are filing for unemployment. Authenticate from the one device. I hope this helps. It helped me and I'm so relieved.

If you have a choice unlike myself, DO NOT USE THIS APP! There's never a human to speak with Email responses are of no help. I spend hours trying to get verified only to close my laptop crying. There's no consideration that someone may be in desperate need to get verified. I'm stuck with no $ and not able to get back home. Make matters worse, I tested pos 3 days ago for covid. This company is a disaster, a nightmare. Worst experience ever, so unorganized, so unprofessional. Their website does not work for uploads(last night I uploaded my driver's license and my selfie, their system still shows uploading is is progress after 16 hours) They don't have a phone number to call or to talk to a live person. All you can do is to send them a request, which I did multiple. It's been two weeks, they have not replied to any of them. I strongly suggest to any companies or organizations to stay away from id.me

I scanned my face multiple times and it kept getting rejected. Too bright. Too dark. Maximum attempts reached. Now I have to video call with a "trusted referee." Okay. Wait time 5 hours. Would I like to come back at a time that is more "convenient" for me it asks. As I learned, this doesn't mean that you make an appointment. You can't do that. You just log back in at a time when you can commit to waiting for hours on end. I decided the most convenient time for me to wait was from 12:30 am to 3:30 am. Shorter wait time of only 3 hours. Do you want to drive people over the edge? Because this is how you drive people over the edge.
Update: I wrote this review in January 2021. It is now May 2022, more than a year later, and ID.me reached out to me with this email, also asking me if I'd like to update my review:
