I was attempting to make a purchase for the new Galaxy S21 Ultra phone from Samsung website so I could get my government employee discount and a discount for my Galaxy S8. Samsung has teamed up with ID.me to verify government employees by using their government email address where they send a confirmation link. I created a ID.me account using the same email address as my Samsung account, received the link and confirmed. So when I go back to Samsung site to check out, it lead me back to ID.me. I attempt to log in but it said email or Password incorrect. I know it wasn't because I used the same Password I used for other generic sites. OK so maybe I did forget the password, I clicked on "Forgot Password" and it says the email address could not be found. Get this how is that when they sent a account created confirmation to the same email address. I chatted with a rep on Samsung site for almost an hour trying to figure it out. Finally I told him Good-night I've decided to buy an iPhone instead, trying to deal with ID.me literally gave me a migraine headache, I not kidding. Samsung S21 Ultra and the migraine headache I endured was not worth the price of the phone. ID.me gets your information then pretend you doesn't exist. For Samsung to team up with ID.me was a terrible ideal because they lost a customer to Apple.

I have been trying to get my ID.me verification for Colorado unemployment since 4 April 2021. I. have been on the phone now over 300 hours trying to get this done. I have been through 2 Trusted Referee Video Calls and still have not been am to get them to tell Colorado that I am verified. I have sent them over 40 emails the first one sent 04 April, 2021. They have never answered a single one. If you are inline waiting on the referee. If they don't want to work they just kick you back to the waiting which has happened to me so far today 7 times. I started 0730am CST it is now 534 pm CST and I am still not done as they just kicked me back to the waiting room again. Not only that I have had a verified ID with ID.me since January 2021 and am still getting messed over by them. I am 6 weeks behind in getting my unemployment because of them fixing to lose my place to live and my van which means I will have a harder time looking for work because no place to sleep shower or a way to get job interviews

I have been waiting for ID.Me to verify clients via email for almost a month now with no response except that a auto reply that they will get it fixed as fast as they can. I'm sure all of the discounts will be over by then. I wish they wouldn't use them. The phone number for corporate is a joke too with an automatic voicemail. I don't know how my big company uses them at all! I am going to start writing emails to companies that use them and let them know how much of a joke this company is! They are using this for fake discounts they think people are actually getting.

It took well over a full MONTH after I sent in a request for help to get a response, most people live paycheck to paycheck waiting this long for a response to a QUESTION to be answered before you can even try to get your stuff submitted is ridiculous. Also when I tried to verify my documents they got denied saying "this isn't a utility bill" yes, yes it was. It was my last bill before I moved from pge, then the second time it got rejected because "you cant use a social twice" I didn't have two socials, I checked several times after the FIRST time things were rejected and it was NEVER two socials, I'm convinced that whoever was working didn't even look at my documents they just rejected them because lazy. Extremely upset with this company I hope it goes under.

Waste of time

I was made to sign up for ID.me several months ago in order to get California unemployment payments, but now it is time to reregister for unemployment benefits and the app won't scan my face. I tried several different lightings and backgrounds, but to no avail. Now I need to meet an ID.me agent. Doing so means that you basically need to go through the whole process I already went through to sign up. That includes uploading photos of identification documents and another selfie. Plus I now get to wait over 3 hours for my meeting so they can verify that I am me. Ridiculous! Complete junk app.

You wait 3 hours in line, waiting for an operator to confirm your identity with not functioning video calls and futile zoom meetings without audio - and they earn taxpayers money. Simple as that.

All I want to do is change my military status to retired - no way to do this with the website. I have been trying to contact them since April 2021 and all I get is a weekly email saying that "they apologize for the delay in getting back to me ". I think they must have gone out of business, there is no phone number to call. Terrible people, then again it's probably all machines.

The country shut down in 2020 & that meant gig workers like me, a musician who now has had no concerts to perform for over the past 14 months. I tried to make savings last w/o using unemployment but finally ran out in January while waiting for the stimulus.
Since CA. Had so much crime during the 1st year of unemployment they have now hired ID.me to verify the ID of people applying for unemployment.
I believe I began in January and they still have not verified me despite my having the assistance of the state assembly person from my district.
Every now and then I'll get an email telling me how sorry they are and to please reach out to them. This can only be a bot emailing me because I was on the internet twice the very second a message came through & within 3 seconds I had sent back a reply, "I'm here, I'm here" no reply.
To think that any life let alone all the lives of this country are in the hands of such an incompetent company doesn't surprise me. Our government over-spends on everything but its people.
So here I sit & wait w/o income or money and almost 5 months after I first started to get verified. Hell I'm all over the internet so I can't imagine why I can't get verified just so I can get the money I paid in this emergency fund but hey, that's the government for ya.

Months of Excuses

Inexplicably, my account was suspended. After repeated attempts to get it reinstated, I just receive polite emails apologizing for the long delay but absolutely not action. It is a simple task - turn the account back on! A Member Support Representative has NEVER reached out to me in spite of what the emails claim.

Totally Worthless

After submitting all the required documents, photographing them EACH four times in different lightin to make sure they were clear, I was still not "verified", next step was spending 5 hours waiting for a video call that never happened and there is absolutely no customer service, although they claim reps are "available" 24/7... its been hours since i submitted a request for help and still no response. Horrible, horrible service. Big waste of my time and now is nothing more than an OBSTACLE blocking me from filing my unemployment claim. If i could rate a zero i would.

My unemployment has been suspended as a direct result of ID.ME not fixing my phone number verification. This case was "escalated" 3 weeks ago, and the responses I received was "sorry it is taking so long". I have not received my unemployment from the State of Colorado in 8 weeks because of this company. I have went to the BBB with this information as well and discovered they have an "F" rating. You can not contact them by phone and email is the only way. I am appalled to think government agencies would use a company like this for their citizens.

While people are in desperate need of unemployment benefits, the systems put in place are failing drastically. ID.me is a joke. I have said it before. I will keep saying it. They took on way too much and they can't handle the volume. They should hire another 1000 employees or share the work with qualified companies who can handle this. Their website will ever connect you to a referee agent. You can spend all day on there. 24 straight hours and somehow your 3 hour wait time will still be 5 hours remaining at the end of that 24 hours. If I could give their company less than 1 star, then I would.

Seriously, I feel I have been held captive, one day of my life I will never get back. I have been on hold since noon, it is now 6pm and I am still holding... How can this be good customer service?
