A problem was found in my tax preparation. In my efforts to correct it, I was given quick responses and options to fix it. I was told when to expect another response from them. And I feel confident in the security of the sight.
ID.Me is the new customer frustration tool from the Government. There are a number of agencies requiring you to get an ID.Me Id but don't understand all the requirements needed to go through this process. Additionally with submitting documents and waiting the 2-3 days to connect ( has never happened). To require a SS Card (physically). Even the social security office will tell you that most agencies don't require it just that you know it and how can you UPLOAD a social security card if its not "scanned" in. Has anyone even gone through this process. I can't believe the ratings listed on this site., unless ID. Me has requested all its employees go on the site and give false rating. Its the WORSE system ever and has not connected with all the agencies to better understand the issues it causes just to get a darn ID, that includes, Passport, SSA information, a selfie ( LOL) what else do you want, a biometic scan? You guys really need to think of the amount of frustration, time it cost to use these systems. Do a better job on the back end with your Cybersecurity strategy and focus and stop making the customer jump through hoops and loops to make up for the lack of technical innovation and use some COMMON SENSE in implementing these systems. Who authorized this system? Which Vendor implemented it? Where did the requirements come from? What customers were involved in developing the requirements? Please THINK THESE SYSTEMS THROUGH WITH BETTER COMMON SENSE and sensitive to the CUSTOMERS.

I was a bit frustrated that I wasn't able to be verified without an agent. I had an email a day after I uploaded my supporting documents with a link for video verification. When I logged into the que it looked like I would be waiting 6 minutes but I don't think I waited even 1 minute. The agent introduced herself verified some information and documentation and I was done. Less than 5 minutes with the agent.

Using Id. Me was quicker than I thought. Each step lead to the next and I know/knew the info I was giving to them would be safe because of all their steps to make sure that it's me. (Text verification, for sign ons, pics, emails), copy of license and a video pic for upto date pic. I got it done in less than an hr, probably less than that.
