I was initially concerned about identity verification—especially as a woman of color—because I've had systems fail to read my documents correctly in the past. However, ID.me's process was fantastic. Uploading and scanning my documents was effortless, and the only additional step—a quick video call—was simply due to my recent address changes. Beyond that, everything flowed smoothly, and I was relieved to see the system handled my documents accurately and respectfully.
It's been a nightmare and ID.ME has no one to answer questions other than a robot. Do yourself a favor and hold your breath before you get help, that way you can die and it would be of more pleasure than dealing with ID.ME!

If you need to look at your social security data or use a government website that you need to be identified for this is probably the best option. I don't like collecting biometric data on people. And in principle, I disagree with the idea of it, but I think it's become a reality.

Very easy and straightforward user interface. Able to use 3rd party logins to speed up process. Verification process was very quick and the data is saved so you are "verified" whenever a service prompts for ID.me. Whole process only took about 15 minutes (if that).

My overall experience was good, and I would use this option again. The only issue that I had was concerning uploading my document for identification. Once I took the photo of the front of my document, a circle with a check mark and an icon to go back appeared below the box where the picture should have uploaded but didn't. I retook the picture several times and the picture never uploaded, and I kept getting a message about an issue with the site, etc. Well, after several times of going "back" or exiting out, it occurred to me to hit the circle with the check mark in it! And finally the picture I had taken uploaded! The instructions for this process should say that once you take your picture to hit the circle with the check mark in it. Maybe it's just me, but I thought when the check mark first appeared that was confirmation that I had done what I was supposed to do and the picture was going to automatically upload.
They made it easy for me to verify my identity very much recommended to family friends and associates, easy to navigate and they take your personal information very seriously they are about safety and precaution

You definitely need to try it yourself in the beginning it is tricky and confusing but once it's all loaded it becomes clear and easy.
