So dumb they take a charge out of your account for inactivity. I had a good amount and went to use the app again and all my rebate money was gone.
They have cheated me out of numorous regular rebates and "earn more" rebates. Customer service is aweful. They take 3 to 5 days to respond if they respond at all. I had 5 bucks disappear mysteriously from my acct. They are just like the GetUpside app. Total scam.
When I first starting using this app, about a year ago, there were some good rebates on products I actually use. Not, they don't offer any good rebates. For me it's a total waste. I can only use the 10 cents off any item. It's not worth the trouble for a cheap 10 cents.

Customer care is unresponsive. There is no phone number and they do not respond to emails. Someone hacked my account and changed the PayPal email and took my money. Should not haven been this easy to steal my money. And PayPal easily works to fix these situations, but ibotta will not respond. DO NOT USE APP. WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORTS.
Takes too long to earn anything of significance. But when I finally did, someone was able to put in their email and PayPal account and drained my earnings. I've heard other stories like this. Ibotta was non responsive by their customer service. Paypal has safety measures that would make it easy to get the cash back but no one even responded when I reached out several times. It is too difficult to use so when. I wanted to cancel I have gone in circles trying to do so. It says choose deactivate or close from the drop down menu. That option doesn't exist. What a rip off
You make it too difficult for receipts to be captured! Too time consuming. Not easy to contact customer service
I saw all the bad reviews, but thought I would give it a try anyway since it's a cool concept. I figured it was just very focused on specific things being done a certain way to get money back. I have learned my lesson though. I signed up and finished selecting my favorite stores as part of the set up. As soon as I finished set up I got a notice that my account was suspended for suspicious activity. I hadn't even done anything yet. I guess shopping at stop and shop is super suspicious. Who knew?

I am sure the leverage in negations is that you will drive revenue to the companies that are featured in your app. It is disappointing to find yourself locked out from ALL your finances when you are in fact doing the exact thing you are promoting to your partner companies. And in the event of a suspicious activity you should deny or leave in pending that transaction to not completely stop user traffic. If my funds are not accessible i will no longer promote your business and forced to go elsewhere. I have recruited and pushed a lot of business to your organization and partner groups. I loved Ibotta but the last few months I do not see any items that you use to give credit on. Why have you changed so much.?
I have been using ibotta and out of the blue someone tried to change my number. The next day they deactivated my account and took my credits for no reason. No one will reply. Irritated with Ibotta. Not worth even 1 star.
I've earned $160 in a month including the sign up bonus & progressive monthly bonuses. The key is, to READ the 1) overall instructions esp. Re: readable receipts, store names on receipts 2) requirements for each $ back rebate. It may be good for only a single (new) flavor or scent or you may have to purchase two. 3) SCAN the item in-store to verify. If it doesn't scan, reread reqmts.
I have had 2 problems occur out of 30 receipts submittrd. I asked custimer service for help. It DID take 4 days but they responded each time & credited me correctly.
I do have experience being a mystery shopper where this kind of attn to detail is required or you simply don't get pd. (Due to volume, they just don't have time to deal with non-perfect reports.) so perhaps my expectations of Ibotta are different than the average person in regards to attn. To detail. But if you read, scan in store & keep products out when you submit your receipt at home (You may be required to re scan a product when you submit your receipt on some items), and be patient regarding online customer service, you should have a positive experience.
I've been thrilled with this app since I signed upon June of this year. I earned my $20 new member reward, which was the hardest part this far since you really have to "learn as you go" unless you happen to have an Ibotta life coach nearby. I've accumulated over $200 since June and I'm still going strong! Please people, read... read all the exclusions and rules on how to get the cash back. You have to follow what it says and you will earn cash back. I feel like people don't want to put in the effort to read and expect to reap the rewards based on what is written in bold letters and numbers percentage you can get back on qualifying purchases.
I've been very satisfied with Ibotta's customer service. Their response time is within reason and they've always credited my account when an error occurs... hey, no system is perfect, but theirs comes very close to it.
I have no affiliation with Ibotta. I am not a robot. I am very happy to have discovered Ibotta and think all you haters should really learn to read. You must be doing something wrong. I shouldn't be telling you because all you have to do is READ, but I will say this... When you launch an online merchant through the Ibotta app, any items in your cart do NOT qualify, you must remove them from your cart first and re-add them through the Ibotta app itself and you can NOT apply any other promo codes to the order because you will NOT receive cash back. Cash back will be pending for at least 90 days and will only be released if the item was not returned.
Please people, make sure you're doing everything right before you point the finger and criticize something for not being legit when it seems to work fine for others... not to sound too harsh, but, most of the time people complain is due to user error.
I downloaded the app and I went out and spent $120.00 at Winco foods and could not scan any of the barcodes on any of their any brand any item earning opportunities. The bananas did not scan, milk, or eggs. Once pressing the plus sign the check marks turned green and still would not scan. Uninstalled immediately and for all the hype surrounding this app from a working professional and household consumer I was highly disappointed. Needs work. Looking for alternatives.
You will collect cents and a couple dollars by purchasing obscure items or alcohol. When it comes to any Online shopping though, DO NOT TRUST THEM. You will see a 5% offer to buy something online, and make a big purchase to get that bonus, but your big credit won't track. They will have reasons why your purchase didn't meet criteria or did not qualify.Don't expect to get anything over a $3 back online. It's all lies! Customer service took FOREVER. Then you got news that sorry... no credits. Ibotta super sucks!

Have tried this for one month and out of all my shopping got few bucks only. The majority of brands they list are not what I normally would buy. Not worth the time and effort. Especially if you cant cash when you reach the $20.
If there was a way to gibe2 NEGATIVE 10 stars i would. So many times they HAVE TAKEN REFUNDS BACK. Or i go to the store by something upload the receipt then no refund for product then product disappears. Happens MANY MANY MANY times. Ibotta is a trick its a total scam. STAY AWAY. DO NOT TRUST THEM
Answer: Absolutely so true! I earned up just over $100 and when I went to cash out they said I was fraudulent YET I HAVE EVERY RECEIPT and all submissions were valid. It took me months to get to this amount. Hmmmmm Class action anyone?

Answer: I tried to withdraw money for the first time and it said my account was locked because of multiple attempts which was not true.! I sent 5 requests for help in a week and they finally responded by deactivating my account and keeping the 360.00 that took me months to accumulate. They claim I tampered with a date on a receipt and I just crossed off the account number. So they can keep my money that is mine. How can I get my money back?

Answer: You have to email the morons that run their customer support at least 3 times before you'll get the proper amount credited to your account.
