Time consuming!

The app is very time consuming you have to stroll through all the offers plus claim them or you want get credit... then you have to submit your receipt... if I may I would like to suggest Ibotta doing the time consuming work why don't they check your receipt when you scan it and let you know what items you purchase qualifies and give you credit for them. That way no item is over looked and you get credit and not get screwed out of a item you didn't except before you submitted your receipt!

I almost never write reviews, but this App is just so awful, I just wanted to warn others. It is constantly not applying the credit for purchases and receipts. Whenever customer service is contacted, it would take about a week for them to reply, and they don't even end up helping or correcting issues. I mean, if you are not going to provide credits, then don't say you will provide them. It causes a lot of frustration and wasted time. If you have time on your hands, you can give it a try. Otherwise, don't even bother. The credits are usually pretty low too, so if your time is valuable, this app is probably not worth your time.

It was ok two years ago but since last year too many issues of qualified items & receipts within time limits that won't submit. I only got 1 $20 payment now it's not adding to my next $20 by only a few dollars. At least I don't buy things because of Ibotta just my usual with sales & coupons that work. Very disappointed & I think it's understaffed.

Not trustworthy

If I could give negative stars I would! It started off working well but recently well attempting to do online purchases using the app to the Amazon purchase they have not been providing the refund that I should have gotten. Opening tickets does not seem to get anywhere as they just sold the tickets and do you not address or research the issue. I have submitted all requested documents and information and yet I am still waiting for credits. A hotel credit that was supposed to come 75 days after the stay is still waiting for payment that should have arrived about a month ago. Even asking for their assistance does not resolve the problem. Get your money out while you can don't waste your time not worth it file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!

I have been using this app for over a year. I "earned" almost $160. I tried to withdraw my "earnings" numerous times to no avail. They won't allow me to withdraw via gift card or PayPal. I've written and asked for help 3 times over the last 4 weeks and they will not reply to my inquiry. They simply locked me out of the account. Now I have $160 in earnings that they refuse to allow me to withdraw. I'm confused, disappointed, and frustrated. I feel this app may be a total scam.

Not as good as before

Waste of Time in 2020

For the last six months, items with rebates on Ibotta are beyond pitiful. It simply is not worth it to scan a receipt just to get 25ยข. Customer service response time is measured in weeks now and usually you get a generic reply that is as insulting as it is unhelpful. Try it out and see just what an epic waste of time and effort it is.

I signed up when I could link my Kroger account to the Ibotta points. That system is no longer. By the time I load all the goodies and scan the receipts the money I receive is not worth it. The syetm is slow beyonf what is acceptable and disconnects me frequently. Today I received an email that they would charge me maintenance fees if I didn't use more. I am deleting the app today

I've been using Ibotta for several years now and in the beginning it was great. As of lately I have had so many issues that get no resolve I no longer use the app. I noticed my balance going down for no reason, the wait time for credit that are higher than normal is ridiculous and the final straw was my recent purchase online was for $270 with 5% rebate through Ibotta. My refund about came back at $. 08! Through multiple emails and still no explanation all I got was it was "up to 5%" which is not true and I sent them the proof of that! I do my research with several apps to find the best deal! Regardless anyway you figure it not only could I not come up with how they got $. 08 for a refund, they completely dismissed that question and have my ticket complaint as settled! No point in emailing them because they NEVER resolve your problem the honest way.

They Cheat

I leave the house and check my "any item" offers, deciding where to shop the night before my 20 dollar "join" redemption ends. They were set to expire in six hours. I return home a couple of hours later to redeem, one receipt redeems just fine. Cool, 9 more offers to go/something similar and I get the 20 bucks... WRONG. The second receipt is photographed, it wouldn't redeem my ay item offer. So, I went back to search the store the other ways it shows up; the any item category was gone... I search stores for my other receipts; 1 product shows up under the any item for all the other stores instead of that generic receipt icon that should be there. When I left the house, my 20 dollar bonus was set to expire at 1:59 AM. I hit "any item" on a couple more stores, the only one that shows the offer the correct way says it expires in two hours. Great, I have a receipt from there. I click it, it says "not available" on a red icon after jumping pages. I go back to my 20 bonus offer and click it, and it shows the same message for the first time. I still have time before that bonus expires, right this very second. It seems pretty scammy, so I search "any item" in general search, and the same 1 product that took over the general any item receipt category shows up: a mixer set for alcoholic drinks. There website also says you don't need a barcode, so why does it ask for one and produce offers that are product specific for scanning and not any item before the expiration of the any item offer... They didn't want to cash out on the bonus and they removed any item close to bonus check out time to reduce the refunds given. Deceptive.

Time consuming

I stop doing it. I now use Fletch. I don't have the time to see which items in my list are in theirs. Frustrated on making more than $125 groceries for $0 10. In top looking for the item to scanned. No way. Do they think ppl dont work. Fletch does all for you. Just scan the receive and you done. Throw it away because you dont have to see when you will have the tine to do it and then discover is pass 14days. Move to Fletch guys is simple.

The customer service sucks and they make it hard to earn money! I submitted several receipts, only to be told that they could not find a match when there clearly was a match on their app! I even scanned the barcodes, only to receive an e-mail saying there was no match. Contacting customer service is a joke! I contacted them a week ago via their app, and have so far only received an automated response. Their BS excuse: "Higher than normal requests." I called corporate in Colorado, only to be given the runaround from an automated system. There was no way to make a selection to contact customer service on their phone system. They don't care about their customers, just their money and data!

Ibotta sucks! They just locked me out of my account & suspended my funds because I used a torn receipt! The receipt got jammed in the printer at Sam's so the employee had to come get it out so it was in 2 pieces. The top part just said Sam's & their address & the other piece was the products I bought & prices & so on. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! Very unhappy with Ibotta! This is just a way to take money away from me & keep me from earning more money! Ibotta you suck! Very disappointed! This is not my first disappointment with them. In the past more than once it didn't accept me receipt for items I bought that were on the app!

I started with this app a year ago. It was a good start they give you a one time incentive $10 once you reach a certain amount. A few months after joining I switch phones, and forgot my login info I created a new account. To my surprise they changed a lot of their user terms so I wasn't allowed to have two accts. I contacted their support team to get rid of old acct. Because I wasn't able to withdraw my cash but they took almost a month to finally help me with this issue. After they closed my old acct. They took away my credit in my old acct. And also began to take money away from my New acct. Saying that my recipts were blury and they couldn't verify the dates. My new acct. Went from $33 to $22. I was so disaponted, this company is a scam!
They also changed their offers are not the best its so hard to earn the bucks. They are just so unprofessional. Don't waist your time this company sucks! If I could give them a zero I would!

Get to 100.00$ cash back even with all receipts as proof the say you are scamming and they block you! If my receipts are not legit then why is the site accepting them. Then get to 100.00$ and they block you!
