I have used Ibotta successfully for years, and still do if I shop in store. For online shopping though, I can no longer get credit...just doesn't work with the iPhone app anymore and I cannot figure out why

I did have issues getting my credits, but the ibotta team did resolve them.

Hello, I wanted to share my experience with the help of the customer service team. I had problems with the withdrawal of my rewards, and also with some promotions that had not been credited. Within 48/72 hours I had everything resolved. I am still happy because they really responded quickly and directly to resolve everything.
I didn't know that my husband bought something that I wasn't aware he was buying so I didn't check it off of on Ibotta. I then received an email from Ibotta stating that I might be missing cash and to look on their site. I was surprised to see that I had 24 hours to collect the rebate money for my husband's purchase which I had no idea that he had purchased

I love using Ibotta! It's easy to do and can build up cash back faster than similar apps. Their customer service is great if there's ever a problem about missing cash back.

Bought an item and had not checked for rewards. Loved the reminder so I could claim it. That is nice.
I've used this app off and on for several years. At this point, I use it every shopping trip. I have most items delivered, due to a disability. Also, I shop mainly Walmart, CVS and Amazon. The Amazon only has money-back on Alexa devices. A person only needs so many of them. At Walmart, you can tie in your account, so you get money back in your Ibotta account within hours of the online purchase being delivered. With all that said, my review is strictly on the online offers, not the in-store, scan your receipt option.
The app is great! It's VERY easy to use. The development team keeps the app really up-to-date, so any snags (and that's usually all they are) get fixed pretty quickly.
The only two downsides, and unfortunately, they can be a big one, depending on the issue. The main issue is their customer service (CS). First, in no particular order, they make it difficult, on the app, to find where and how to contact them.
Second, I believe you can only reach someone via email, not phone, or even chat. That's really frustrating.
Third, even with the email, sometimes you don't even get a response. And, when you do, they typically refer you to parts of the FAQs section. In my case, I've checked that first, tried deleting and re-installing the app, as well as restarting my phone already, and multiple times. Clearly, they don't read the emails fully, if they're sending those "solutions", when I've stated that I've indicated I've already tried these.
Fourth, if and when you do get an actual person responding, they ask you to send in a ton of things. This includes stuff I've sent in the original email. Also, some of the information is no longer available on the app, bc I've used that offer, or it's expired now.
Fifth, the number of good money-back offers has lessened. There are a lot of 15-25ยข back offers. They DO have quite a few offers, though.
The second issue is the bonus offers. They've gotten insanely high (# of items required to get the bonus money). There are times you need to have used 44 offers to earn the bonus.
I had an issue where the app wasn't recognizing something that it usually does automatically and without issue. I received prompt and friendly assistance that resolved the issue as soon as practical. If only every Customer Service experience could be like this!
I hope you can get this corrected. I have missed bonuses, because you have not credited my account for missing rebates. The items have been rescanned and submitted, but NO response.
Real easy just shop products and get money back and buy something for you
Simple and easy! Loaded the two free cheese offers from Meijer's, confirmed the UPC codes were correct on app, uploaded receipt, and a couple hours later had my $8.57 rebate.
Can't beat that!

Great customer service! I had issues when I tried to get some cash bonus from going to Hoka website purchase through Ibotta. I bought a pair of Hoka shoes for my wife. The cash bonus dud not come through adter a few days. I contacted Ibotta customer service. It was not long before I had help and received my cash bonus! Thank you very much for your world class service!
I've noticed us do much more smoother now then a year or two ago. Rare occasion I do have an issue, it's resolved quickly. I can't recall the last time I had a problem with the app. I like the upgrades a lot, especially if I miss checking an offer I get an email to add it. Very happy with everything, please don't change anything.
I absolutely love this APP, it helps save you money in these hard times & I would love to see coupons for store brand items as well as name brands, that would be even better
Answer: Absolutely so true! I earned up just over $100 and when I went to cash out they said I was fraudulent YET I HAVE EVERY RECEIPT and all submissions were valid. It took me months to get to this amount. Hmmmmm Class action anyone?

Answer: I tried to withdraw money for the first time and it said my account was locked because of multiple attempts which was not true.! I sent 5 requests for help in a week and they finally responded by deactivating my account and keeping the 360.00 that took me months to accumulate. They claim I tampered with a date on a receipt and I just crossed off the account number. So they can keep my money that is mine. How can I get my money back?
Answer: Sorry Jenna bit it seems like you're kinda late for that rebate a few years actually. I'm pretty sure that ibotta have 100% absolutely forgot about you and by not I'm sure you forgot about too. :)

Answer: You have to email the morons that run their customer support at least 3 times before you'll get the proper amount credited to your account.
