The condensing unit was damaged upon arrival. The combustible floor base kit will not fit without significant modification. To date I have been unable to contact anyone at HVAC Direct to try and correct this.
This was pretty much an exact replacement for my previous system which lasted 14 years. Only $4K vs. $20K estimate for a new split system installed by 3rd party... No brainer! Thankyou HVAC-Direct for a great website and easy delivery.
They promised a 2-3 day lead time on the website, then when that window passed I emailed and it turned out it would be 3-6 weeks due to supply chain issues. Okay, It's covid, I can live with that, but now here we are at week 6 and they have no idea when my order will ship. On top of that, they charged the full amount to my credit card within seconds of placing the order. Everything shows in stock on the website, but they are terrible at communicating and letting people know when the order will arrive. My order status just says "processing". At least they respond to my emails, but the story is always the same... Let me check, oh it's going to be another few weeks.
Purchased system and within a week the drive board failed. HVAC direct will not return you phone calls and they will make excuses after excuse why they can't get a board. Finally I had to call INGRAMS and they actually sell parts for the units they sell. I have never seen such a thing, get your $#*! together hvac direct and get tech support that knows what they are talking about. Your tech support guys are absolutely clueless. Stay away from Mr cool and the stupid parts chasing game they play. I should've known. AT THE END OF THE DAY I PURCHASED ANOTHER UNIT JUST TO TAKE THE PARTS FROM IT DUE TO NON EXISTENT PARTS WITH MR COOL.
Ordered product online that said ships in two to three days. Have been given the runaround and excuses since October. Then it was November, then the beginning of December, then the end of December. Was just told now it's January. ZERO confidence that January will be the case. I understand supply chain issues are a reality, but the fact they mislead on the website and have horrible customer service is also a reality. Was quick to take my money though. Stay away.
Back on November 5 I called and spoke with a rep who ensured me the item I wanted was in stock and assured me it would be shipped right out after many phone calls trying to find out if it has shipped yet and waiting on hold for ever on the 16 th contacted them again and they couldn't find what had happened that they would call me back with details then I called again and they told me good news they found it and was being shipped right out should have it in a day or two still no tracking number but would send it soon,,, on the 18 th a trucking company called me said they had a delivery to schedule with me for next Tuesday the 23 rd of November!
Still they never reached out to me with any info until a short e mail was sent with a tracking number long after the trucking company had contacted me! My home has had no heat since November 5 th and I believe it was shipped out by a third party!
Save your self some time and buy local this outfit is very bad and people should be aware!
They send me parts and tell me this will fix it. It didn't. I would not recommend using these guys if you expect any service.
Orders a furnace and A/C on 10/7/21. With a 2-4 week lead time. 4 weeks after the order they have given me 3 ship dates, none of which have been met and I finally had to dispute the payment with the credit card company. Pretty sure these guys are a bunch of crooks.
I ordered a Mitsubishi Mini-Split heat pump. Their website says that it ships within 2-3 business days. It is now 5 business days and it still has not shipped. I called them and they said "I know that the website doesn't say so, but that's after processing." So I asked the obvious question and that was "how long does it take to process?" They had no idea. It did not bother them at all that they intentionally have misleading information on their website. By the way, the "after processing" information is not on their website. So we are talking "fine print" that does not appear anywhere. Then the person I was speaking with asked for my phone number and promised someone would call me back. The call never came.
Today, I called again and was on hold. They offer a call back instead of waiting on hold. I again left my number, and again, I did not receive a call. So I called back this afternoon, I called back and stayed on hold. I finally spoke with someone who said that the product had shipped. However, I have not received the automated email telling me that it has shipped so I still do not know if it has shipped. If it has shipped, it shipped 6 business days after the order was placed instead of 2-3 days as promised on their website.
I did not agree with the customer service. I place an order; just to look at a screen that says processing for over a week, no one communicated with us, to let us know when it was shipping or if it was shipped, I finally called them just to be told that my order will not be received till the 27th after I place my order on the 12th. Then when I spoke to the managers they gave me every excuse and reason to why it was my fault but they had no problem with processing my payment. I feel like the customer service was rude and I've also don't agree with the fact that they made me call their transport service to find out when or if I'll ever get my material material. This is my first time ever using them so you would think that they would do anything they could to gain a new customer, but instead all I got was how it's my fault and I need to wait. Pissed off customer. On top of that they did not even process my equipment until the last minute meaning the fifth if not the late fourth day. What they don't tell you is that it could be up to a month before you receive your product. And I honestly think all these reviews are from their friends not from Happy customers because of the way they do their processing there's no way that many people could be happy. The prices are fair I gave them that but honesty goes a long way.
I had two 4 ton AC sets ordered and woke up this morning only to find an email advising me that they will not be delivered on 9/12 as promised and not even sure when they would be delivered. I am a PE and just finishing a home that went under contract yesterday, so when I received the news, it was devastating as it would definitely affect the closing date or more! So I turned to the internet and found a couple of suppliers, one being HVAC Direct. Phone them and spoke to Noreen and since everyone is out of coils or furnaces, I was not optimistic. She said she would check and call me back. Well she did and she FOUND 2 complete units! SOLD! Price s even saves me 5% and now I am switching suppliers! Thanks Noreen! Jack C., Texas
So today I ordered an HVAC system from HVACdirect. They charged my credit card with a pending charge (bank confirmed) and never sent me a confirmation or invoice of the purchase. Their online chat person says they took the charge but it should fall off. After I ask why if I made the purchase they never responded. So I call their customer service and speak to Chelsea who says this is a known problem and the pending charge should drop off in a couple of days. My bank said they cannot charge your credit card if no goods were purchased or they were not going to honor what was ordered. So, HVAC direct will charge your credit card for pending charges that go against your credit card balance but have no intent on honoring the order you submitted on there website? Then on a recorded call with Chelsea it is said to be a "known" issue... according to my financial institution this is a legal questionable action.
Worse Customer Service EVER! Asked to speak to manager and always got i am the manager. Never fully answered questions just redirects and not willing to help at all! Don't waste your time or money just look for another supply company.
Ordered $2,800 worth of products on 6/16/2021, they took my money out of my account right away. Website says ships within 2-3 days and that's the only reason I ordered from them in the first place. Now it's 6/29/2021 and nothing has shipped, still says processing. I'm not happy about this and want others to be aware and not be fooled by their claims of 2-3 days shipping. I don't care if they are experiencing high volume of orders, don't trick people into buying your products with false advertising of quick shipping. I would've waited on a local company if I knew the truth of how long it would take. Hvac Direct needs to address this issue and make things right. Very frustrating experience. I will update and change review as soon as I get my order.
It has been 2 weeks and my order still says processing when I log in and look at it. They were paid quickly, sent me an invoice and that's it. As far as ordering online it is simple, but as far as them letting you know the status of your order, I give them a F... Sad you spend over $3,000 with them and they can't even let you know when it will ship. My AC is broke here in Texas and it is over 100 degrees today. I would not order from them again and I just hope they send me my AC before the summer is over.
Been waiting. In a national news heat wave. Waiting some more. Still waiting. Air conditioner was in Ohio in week 1. Air conditioner was in Ohio in week 2. Now we are in week 3 and air conditioner is still in Ohio. Still waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting...
We ordered on june 4th the same day they took our moneyout if our account. They have had our order in processing for the past 11 day with no end sight to when it will be shipped. We have called multiple times. The first time we called (Monday) we were told that it was in the process of being shipped and will go out on Tuesday. The next day the money was put back in our account. We called out of concern because our money was refunded. We were told that there was no problems on the 7th and the next day andnthat the order will be shipped out the following day. That same day we received another invoice and they took the money out of our account again. So a few days we called again (mind you, its in the high 90's to 100 with no AC) we were toldnour order was just processed and it should be 3 to 5 days. So we called again when no shipping was updated. This time the costumer service lady told usbthe same thing we were told 5 days prior... nothing new. The same thing we've been hearing. She told us that she will figure it all put and call us back with information on when it will be shipped. She said it will be shipped that day or today... well it still hasn't been shipped... at this point we would. Like for them to honest. If it is not in stock... say so and refund our money as fast as you took it out... or ship the item
Placed the order on May 11 ( order no *******) and paid $ 3460 thro credit card but still waiting for the confirmation on when the item will be shipped with a tracking no. Very frustrating experience.

I really messed my online order up. Rather than make me wait for weeks to ship the wrong stuff i got a email letting me know, politely, a better alternative to the purchase i had made, so I ended up calling the number. Jeff not only fixed my order to the specifications i really required but he made sure i got all the additional things i required for my installer to do the job. Than was able to cut 6 WEEKS of the delivery time and not exaggerating saved me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS! If your ordering your own air-conditioning online for the first time, be smart, wait for business hours and ask Jeff what you should get.
I bought a 5 ton heat pump from HVAC direct for about half the cost of the company I installed for. I was Leary of the company because of the lower prices. 2 years later we had a power surge that wiped out the mother board... one phone call to the service rep... BOOM... new control board in the mail... system back up and running like new. At NO CHARGE... I am freakin IMPRESSED folks. Excellent equipment... Excellent staff... GOOD JOB HVAC DIRECT!
