If I'm paying a monthly fee for their service, I believe the commercials should be at a far greater minimum than they are. My daughter and I are trying to watch the Prince Harry and Meghan story, and the amount of commercials in it is a crazy amount. But they want to make more money, I get that. What I can't forgive is when they cut to the damn things in the very middle of sentences! Their a major frican streaming service, you would think they'd learn proper timing! My 14 year old son who makes movies could do a better job! This is why I don't watch movies on Hulu.
Every time I try to contact support I'm either put on hold to the absolute worst cacophony of music (?), or I get cut off or both. They have a twitter account, put your complaints there, but it's not easy, either.
I was out of town recently and was watching Super Heists in the hotel and got hooked. There were some episodes that I didn't finishing watching. I found out that the full episodes were on Hulu which I thought was great. I signed up for a free trial. I wanted to get the 30 day Hulu only trial but Hulu wouldn't let me so I had no choice but to select the 7 day trial. This was fine since all I wanted to do was watch 3 episodes of Super Heists and that was basically it.
When I searched for Super Heists, Hulu said that this was live TV and that I had to pay $2.16. It wasn't after this happened that I read Hulu reviews and someone said that Hulu had moved some their regular shows to Live TV when they weren't in that category before. This is shady.
I don't watch a lot of what is on TV these days so I don't have a need to pay month subscriptions. I had given up cable about 10 years ago and never signed up for satellite TV either.
From some of the other reviews I read, Hulu charges you for a subscription that isn't add free. I thought that was the point of paying for subscriptions - to avoid ads.
It's shameful how greed has become the backbone of big business. If I'm going to be bombarded with ads, I'd except not to pay for the Hulu service. If I'm paying, I shouldn't see ads. Hulu is getting paid by their subscribers and the advertisers.
I'm guessing the $2.16 is per episode. This isn't a lot of money but Super Heists isn't live TV so I shouldn't be charged for it. Hulu is shady.
I downloaded Hulu in order to watch a few shows that Netflix doesn't offer. It was good at first paying $5.99 a month, I was fine with loud commercials (and commercials in general) but now this "Hulu plus live TV" whatever is the last straw for me.
I had one specific show that brought me to Hulu...'Ghost Adventures' on the travel channel. I just happened to have some free time to watch some more episodes and Hulu took off the show I was watching and moved it to their Hulu live TV program, which is $64.99 A MONTH.
Definitely not happening, ever since the stupid 'Damelio show' which coincidentally is no extra charge, this platform has really shown it only cares about overnight trends and fast money... hence bringing up the subscription by a dollar for half the shows requiring the $64 program. Make it make sense...
In the end I would not recommend Hulu to anyone until they fix this problem and take the $64.99 junk plan off, and put it back how it used to be. Severely disappointed, it was a decent platform for a few months I will be cancelling my membership.
I used to love Hulu so much but the quality of the app has gotten horrible over time. I've called the customer service center and they say they are aware of the issue but it hasn't been fixed. When you watch a series if you stop in the middle of an episode it won't play back from where you left off like Netflix. You have to either watch the episode again or you have to forward to where you left off. Omg Hulu get this fixed. Hulu doesn't remember what episodes you have watched if you start a series over. You literally have to write down where you left off before you log off or even pause the show for more than ten minutes. It's a hot mess. I want to cancel the account so much.
Awful & unethical business model. Ads are inexcusable on a subscription service, making paying customers into the product, and damaging the shows on the platform.
It's becoming impossible to log into my account on hulu. Recaptcha goes on endlessly even when I know I have them all in the previous set. And for what reason? It's not like hulu is an important site needing to provide security. Once is MORE than enough. My bank doesn't even have this junk. Whoever created recaptcha, well I better not publicly express what I'm thinking. The pictures are tiny, often fuzzy, and on the one picture displays, a tiny bit might carry over into another square if you look close enough. Why is this demanded on computers when you don't have to on your TV? An account is an account. Anyway, guess it's time to dump the hulu. Small letters are intentionally used.
I had been overcharged by Dish for many years. Hulu Live is the best answer I could have hoped for!
Hulu is a RIP-OFF, a FRAUD… watch your bank accounts! My account was hacked by someone in Washington, DC (they verified it) yet I was not issued a credit for the services. Hulu told me because I paid my account in full for the year with a credit card that they could not refund my money or apply it back to my account! WHAT?!?! Now, after 5 MONTHS after canceling my bank account was charged once again?!?! I DO NOT HAVE HULU!

Ever since we downgraded from Hulu Live tv the service totally sucks. We downgraded because their live tv service wouldn't run on our home internet, so we switched to YouTube TV, and would highly recommend. We kept Hulu basic for some of the shows they carry, but now it constantly skips and stutters and sometimes will glitch right out of the entire app. It's not our internet, because we've got Netflix, Amazon, Disney, YouTube TV, Xbox, switch, multiple computers and tablets and they all stream just fine. For six bucks a month, we'll deal with it, but if they ever raise the price without improving their shoddy service, we'll drop them.
I am finding every review site I can to post my review of Hulu. It is by FAR the worst streaming service in the industry. It constantly buffers (and no, it is not my Internet service or speed). I have contacted them several times to complain. Get the same instructions to delete history, cache, etc. Never works, streaming is still lousy. I have several other streaming services, Netflix, Amazon Prime, as a couple examples. I can sit down, login, and watch uninterrupted shows for hours, but with Hulu, it takes hours to watch one show. A 43 minute episode can take over an hour (if I was a gluten for punishment and actually waited for it to buffer a million times during one episode). I even was recently put on hold from Hulu. I received an email telling me my account was on hold and would be cancelled if I didn't start watching again...?!?!?! WTF, who are they to tell me when and how much I am suppose to watch their crappy service. The insane thing about it is, I had actually logged on every night for a week trying to watch a series. I watched each night as long as I could until it started it's buffering every 30 to 40 seconds and then I would log out. When contacting customer service, they stated that they could plainly see I had been logged in over the past week...
What a joke... WORST of ALL streaming services. Save your time, money and sanity and pay for a real streaming service, basically any service other than Hulu...
There are no commercials on Hulu. We would like to be able to fast forward or go back to watch a portion of a show again just in case we missed something. Not liking the new non feature that Hulu put on our programs.
Hulu has, for years, been non compliant with the FCC CALM act which states they cannot play commericals louder than the shows. They do nothing but blame the channel that you are watching. They will never return any money if you want to cancel your service, only give you free service days, which is stupid when you're wanting to cancel service. Customer service says they will submit it to management but then there isn't an exact day when it will be resolved, which is never. I don't recommend Hulu to anyone, unless you are willing to pay the extra fee for No Ads, which is what they are technically trying to get you to do with the loud ads. It's unacceptable
Maybe because its a FREE 30-Day trial. I have NEVER in my like time had such HORRIBLE Free service. I'm not enjoying Hulu free month trial because 99.9% of the time I having to change my password because I cant log in, it forgets my password and make it seem like I forgot it. OK Hulu if you say so. Get this, I click on forgot password, enter my email address, no response, 5 mins, 30 mins, an hour, day, 2 days, still not response to reset my password. I guess Hulu forgot my password to. Finally I call CS and got the pw reset link sent to my email. Another thing about Hulu's problematic login criterial, is that ever-so annoying CAPTCHA. I am so done playing tic-tac-toc just to watch a free movie. Netflix and Prime doesn't have such outdated site. Well, Hulu with my free 30 trail, your first impression didn't entice me at all. For your monthly service fee, $64, $12, $6 or Free Trials is not worth my patience, It appears your site needs a serious upgrade, one that will remember saved passwords, email address and a quick password reset response, 2 days is just outrageous and oh, not to forget, that annoying tic-tac-toe patience teaser, toss it out, CAPTCHA is obsolete. 3 of 30 days Free Trial service, I'm done...
Yes there are ads. No big deal. But the ads are 3x louder than the show. It is so annoying. I have to mute every ad they are so crazy loud!
We have the highest internet speed available, but Hulu acts like we're using a 2400 baud modem. Whether watching live or on demand, the image constantly freezes, skips back five minutes or just stops and returns to the Firestick's Home screen. NO OTHER STREAMING SERVICE WE HAVE DOES THIS. IT'S HULU! The only reason we keep it is because I can't find another service that offers the channel line up we want and I'm not going to get sucked into Spectrum's nightmare bundling scheme. If you can find a streaming service that meets your needs, avoid Hulu like Covid!
I notice hulu promotes the murder of innocents in the womb among other things. They promote racist and murderous and multibillion dollar organization planned parenthood. I would stay clear of using their services if a baby's life is important to you.
One star only because it exists! It's terrible, I can always make all my other apps work with the same internet connection, but not Hulu. They have good programming but they do not care about their customers, AT ALL! There is no one to talk to about customer complaints, they don't care. They don't care about the product they are putting out, just the $$ they are taking in! The commercials are ridiculous and relentless! They are turned up in volume and when the program buffers and fails it takes you straight back to commercials! Over and over! It will play the commercials over and over but fails just as the programming starts! Horrible! They could fix this as don't. I have 4 other apps and Hulu is the only one I struggle with!
Almost every day, There is something wrong with Hulu. Upon my 7 months investigation into why, I found the servers they have are rented thu 5th, 5th! Party, way overseas, and nothing has the power to serve all customers they took at once. Therefore if u are on but were not on before many people were, Youll have terrible crap slow or no service. Thats normally the service I get. This is disgusting.! These people should be looking at legal Prosecution for the disgusting way they take on customers but cannot handle. Its disgusting! Disgusting! Found out a have been paying for someones else account for 10 months (i dont have hulu) figured it out, called, 2 hours of wait time for customer rep. Never answered and kicked my to a satisfaction survey that of course i gave absolute minimums to. Left message and call back number never called me back completely fraudulent company that might as well call themselves the hula mafia or sig heil HULU. Will have to make fraud report with bank and civil action now against hulu very very disatisfied will never ever use service and suggest you'all dont either very deceptive on if there if problems call this number for fraud cases link.

Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
