Worst company I have ever had to deal with 11 months still no chair same two answers Everytime I call so called customer service 1. Still waiting on papers work from you pcp 2. Got paper work will call you in a few days with final shipping info, 2 weeks later I call them back to item 1 and so forth 11 months what a joke this two bit outfit is, I'll buy a used chair screw hoveround!

I haven't even gotten my Hoveround yet and the customer service is lacking. Confusion about my add on order. Confusion about the date they scheduled to drop it off. They scheduled for a day that the guy that was supposed to deliver needed off. Hopefully I get it during the next scheduled time! Kinda disappointing since they are so expensive and I already paid for it. They there is confusion about the accessories I ordered!

Beware of Hoveround! Ordered my power wheelchair 3 months ago. Yes I had some customizing to my wheelchair, but it shouldn't take longer than 3 months. Called today and they said they are still waiting on part. I would think if your clients can't provide parts find another company. I have canceling order and gone through another company that can provide a chair with the custom items I have requested in a matter of days!

This "SUPPOSEDLY" New Powerchair wobbled when it was delivered in August 2021, the representative delivering it made an adjustment and proceeded to tell me it will work itself out. The chair seems to be a used chair with wheels that are already worn, he mentioned the rubber mat that was loose on the foot guard in time will fall off, just superglue it back. This THING will not operate on wet concrete flat surface it SPINS out! What am I supposed to do when snow is on my ramp? DO DONUTS? I want to return this thing and get credit to get a POWERCHAIR that is dependable since it represents my legs & my being independent. Since being confined to this chair, something DEPENDABLE is needed for the PRICE HOVEROUND highjacks the INSURANCE for! It does not seem adequate for this thing delivered to me! 3-way call with Medicare, Hoveround, and myself led to an entirely different scenario than I was told when the chair was delivered. With HOVEROUND you cannot return the CHAIR after it has been left with you! WOW, never had customer service where you could not return a defective item before, According to Medicare, customers should be able to return the Medical Equipment that is not working for me! So CUSTOMERS be warned that with HOVEROUND what you get is what you are STUCK WITH! Car dealers as crooked as some can be, have a better policy than this!

I order two accessories for a friend two months ago, but the items never shipped. I called Hoveround support three times, and got the royal runaround, no answers, no help. Instead, they just keep promising the items are on their way. But what's more irritating is they charged my credit card immediately on ordering and did not advise me that the items I ordered were not available. They should change the name of this company from Hoveround to Runaround.
Inconsistent application of needs to apply for insurance. For the first chair I got, I had to do practically nothing. Hoveround took care of getting the necessary approvals. For the 2nd chair, Hoveround seems to have taken the stance of "hands off." I have yet to figure out how to convince the insurance of my need.
We purchased a power chair as it size is more easily accessible into the handicap van we own. Unfortunately tie down bars, used to secure the chair once inside the van, are not standard equipment so we ordered them extra. At the time of order we were told the bars were in inventory and the technician would be back in one week to install the bars. It has been more than one month and they still cannot tell us when the bars will be installed. The chair is absolutely no value if we cannot use it in the van. I would not recommend Hoveround.
It seems like everything medical anymore you have to jump through hoops for. Yet they did all the work and getting everything together. Then once it was approved they brought it here, showed me how to charge and work it. The only thing I did was make a dr.'s appt. To verify I needed one. I luv the smaller size and how cushioned the seat is. It even has a safety belt.
WE WERE VERY EXCITED TO RECEIVED NOTICE OF DELIVERY FOR THE SCOOTER THAT MY HUSBAND WAS NEEDING VERY MUCH, THIS SCOOTER IS PRACTICAL AND FUNCTIONAL AND SAFE, HOWEVER IT IS BEEN ONLY A WEEK HE HAS BEEN PRACTICING SUCCESSFULLY,

Though many web locations say they deal with Medicare, THEY DO NOT. Hoverou d is the only one that does in a very professional & kind manner.
I don't believe the person I spoke to was very knowledgeable about the services, available products,& procedures of obtaining different chairs I explained I suffered from multiple sclerosis that I'm 39 and that I needed a chair for outdoor mobility once I asked about the different chairs I seen especially the one in picture he had nothing to tell me but above all he was polite
Very satisfied with product, process, and delivery! Ordered easily, got Doctor to complete necessary paperwork, and chair was delivered to my door. My daily legs from bed to daily tasks and back to bed again. Great service and I recommend Hoveround to anyone that qualifies!
Everyone that I spoke to was very pleasant, informative and business-like I don't know any other business that tells you that it's time to give you another product free of charge because it's been 5 years and you can keep your old one!
I have been waiting for a service visit for batteries for my husband's chair for almost 2 months. He was told they have the batteries but don't have a screw which has nothing to do with him being mobile. This is the 3rd time we have waited for unreasonably long periods of time for service. If you are reading this I would find another company who is more empathetic to their customers needs. My next step is to a lawyer or better business bureau. No wonder I see less commercials for this company. Unacceptable service!
From my first contact with Hoveround, I was impressed. The representative that I spoke with was friendly, compassionate and most importantly, she was very informative of the product. She took my information and then told me what my doctor needed to do next. Within 2 weeks, my Hoveround electric chair was made and delivered to me! The gentleman that brought it gave me instruction and information about the chair. I used it and maneuvered it around my home. This chair will change my life as I am in great pain if I walk or stand more than 3-5 minutes. I am so grateful for my doctor, my insurance and Hoveround for working together to make a life changing decision come true.
Answer: Some seem to be getting the equipment supplier mixed up with Medicare. Medicare has theirs own agenda (deny! Deny! Deny!), like most insurance co. Who don't want to pay out. Power wheelchair and scooter companies just do what they can. If a doctor prescribes and Medicare accepts/denies, its not the companies' fault. The doctor is valued to do his duty the best he can and Medicare supposed to do right by the benefiticary. I don't know. Seems a lot of blame is possible, not just with one side of it.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
