Of course this sounds like the rest of the posts. Ordered two on 12/7/16, and money was taken out on 12/8/16. I waited patiently for a tracking # or anything saying that they had shipped. I figured, its the holiday season so they are running behind. Not the case! Their website now says they are out of business due to Federal Regulations (these regs were passed in May 2016). They had no intentions of ever shipping anything. Complete scam to get peoples hard earned money and at Christmas time none the less. This is lower than low. I hope the folks at Hoverboarder.com realize how much of an impact this has on families and parents. Like many of you, I saved for months to get these (widowed mother of two), and will not be getting my money back. Christmas is certainly not ruined as we still have each other and our blessings but it will not include the boards I saved for. Hoverboarder. Com, I hope you are proud of yourselves.
Disgusting example of greed and total disregard for ethics. This is the most exlampry example of modern day entitlement. Sock heads hidding behind policy sections with daddy standing by to catch the fall. You will burn in hell.
My story is pretty much like everyone else... I ordered in November, followed up with company demanding a tracking number... they sent me one. Sent 12-2 that a FedEx label was made to track but nothing ever sent with that label. I lost $199.99 but my competly disappointment that someone specifically target parents with kids at Christmas time. Only true losers would take advantage of children at Christmas time. I could not order another board for my daughter because I am single mom and don't have money to just fix this. I really hope the person's doing this get caught for fraud and more.
I received the 2 boards I order! One is the wrong color but all I care about is are they safe?
THIS IS MY SECOND MESSAZGE I GOT SCAMMED AS WELL SO I CONTACTED NEWS CHANNEL 4 AND THEY TOLD ME TO CALL THE FEDERAL TRADE OFFICE AND FILE A COMPLAINT AS WELL AS YOUR; LOCAL OAG AND THE COMPANY OPERATES OUT OF FLORIDA SO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE FLORIDA STATES ATTORNEY ONLINE HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL
Just as everyone else is writing, this company (or person) is a total scam. I can't believe after all of these complaints, that the website is still up and running. I would rate a 0, but that isn't an option! I was able to file a complaint with my bank and get my money back, so I would recommend that if you have purchased from this website, please contact your bank.
SAID THEY WERE SHUT DOWN BY THE "CPSC" I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THAT, THIS GUY IS A FU**ING LIAR HE NEVER HAD ANY INTENTION ON FILLING THE HUNDREDS OF ORDERS HE TOOK AND HE GOT ME FOR $398.00. IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEN IT IS. DONT GET DOOPED BY THE NEXT SITE HE OPENS UP THATS HIS PATTERN WHEN THE HEAT IS ON HE SHUTS DOWN AND OPENS ANOTHER
After reading all these reviews, I should be glad that I actually received some type of board even though it was the wrong color & I didn't receive the carrying bag I paid for. Shame on them for taking people's money & not following through. Lesson learned for me-do research before I buy from a new company. I filed a complaint with the Florida BBB, where they have a D rating.
They took my money and I never received the merchandise. I ordered 2 hoverboards on 11/26/16. Then when I called no answer. I look on the website and it says I have to dispute the charges with my bank. I had to pay double just to get the hoverboards from somewhwre else because this was my children's main Christmas gift and it has to be here before cherishes. Don't buy from then!
I ordered 3 hover boards on 12/2/2016 and called and called no answer. I then sent an email yesterday and received on back today telling me the order was cancelled and that i had to dispute the refund with my credit card company. These were a x mas present for my 3 oldest children and that was all they were getting. They had no problem taking 599.97 off my card but yet i have to wait to get the clam disputed in order to get my money back... what a joke... this company needs to be sued... NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY bad business all the way around the board.
I ordered hoverboard for my son for xmas and now Im out my money. Their website says that we have to dispute charge with cc wtf why should I have to do that if you dont have the product u should just refund my damn money. Cc company says it can take up to 10 business days which is past xmas. Im sooooo freakin pissed
I ordered a hover board from hoverboarder.com. This was suppose to be a Christmas gift for my son. We never received it! So I started doing a little research and new then that it was a scam. I called the company and someone named Charmaine answers the phone and tells me that they have been shut down and that I would need to go through my bank to get my money back. WTF! Really!?
I am beyond upset at this so called "company"! My husband purchased a Hover board for my step daughter from Hoverboarder.com and we never received a tracking number. I have called and left emails multiple times and no one ever returned my phone call nor my email. After reading some of these comments I realized what a total scam it is. This morning my husband revived an email from this site to let him know that they are now out of business. Are you kidoing me!? For this site to go go through all this trouble to make a website, email and phone number just to scam people is ridiculous! Especially around this time of year. We are now out 500$ due to us having to go and buy a hover board in store. I will try and get our monew back by requesting a refund. I will go to our lawyer if we have to. Bull$#*!!
These $#*!s r scamers they stole my money im posting this all over the internet i got an email from them saying they cant refund me cuz they used my money to buy inventory r u kidding me i will sue them and ill get more than the 200 bucks that i spent
I ordered a hoverboard a week ago from HoverBoarder. I went to check the status of my order today because I never received a shipped email, and there is an error message stating that they're ceasing to exist and that if you placed an order to dispute it with your credit card company! I used a visa gift card, and threw the gift card away. When I called hoverboard to discuss, the person on the other line said the only way to get my money back is to go through my credit card company (visa gift card) and that they 'have no money to give me'. Well they certainly have MY money. This is all my daughter wants for Christmas, and now I'm coming out of pocket DOUBLE just to make sure this gets here on time, and just hoping and praying that Visa can get the money back from this fraudulent company and reimburse me. Absolutely unacceptable.

What a fool - saw a great deal on the hoverboard - which will be my daughter's main Christmas present. Bought 12/2... 12 days later... no board. Thinking they are just behind in shipping tried to track the package via my order confirmation page. Can't track package because it brings up an error page. Tried emailing & then calling the company. Can't reach the company. No responses to my emails. They did take my $199+ which now means I will have to have my VISA company start investigating. BBB has poor ratings for this company too (hindsight on my part!) DO NOT BUY! You'll end up losing $ to this company and spending more in the end.
The website now has instructions to file dispute claims. Such a pain and of course no boards and we ordered early November. The company went under.
I have only received one still waiting in a other. The one I got is the wrong color. I filed a dispute waiting to hear back.

Once you've learned how to ride a hoverboard, you'll have no problems. If you're concerned about the quality of a hoverboard you've purchased, you may want to upgrade your battery to UL2271 or UL2272 specs. Answer: My bank said they would not return the money. You have to press charges against him.
Answer: You will not receive anything from this company because its a scam. The address doesn't even exist, its an empty lot. Check on the google maps, street view. I confirmed the empty lot when I called the Miami Police Dept and the city of Miami business authority... There are over 80 complaints at the BBB this month alone about this fraudulent company. His name is Jimmy Temkin and he is doing business under many other company names using the same address that does not exist. FIle a complaint with your bank and cancel any cards u gave them so they don't charge it again
