The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

Would not used this site the are broker so they sell through vendors. Customer service is terrible don't waste your time on this site. Use a retailer like Amazon!
Do not use Houzz as a lead service. They're outrageously expensive, dishonest, and they care about their own sales instead instead of making sure Houzz is a good fit their contractors. Not worth your time or money! I will not be recommending them to any of my associates.
When the goods are defective they want to send a series of emails and let you know they are working with the vendor, send pictures, still working with the vendor. No clear path for return and refund. I will not be purchasing from Houzz again and I suggest you not make the same mistake.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Aliena to set up vendor account.
Very helpful in all ways, follow up.
Most negetaive comments are about installers, which happens with human element.
Houzz is great connector for many despite some bad apples they try to help.
Purchase sofa legs:
GlideRite 6" Steel Furniture Legs with Leveling Screw, Brushed Satin Nickel
Product SKU: 08. 01. 001-150-BN
One of them was little bend, but it's ok. When I install them and put sofa back to place I noticed that connection on 1 of the legs disconected ( it has 4 soldering on 1 leg). Next time when I just slide sofa further other leg fall of completely. Whent to home depo and bought solid wood legs.
Glad I read these reviews. Doing so decided me not to order something from Houzz. Instead, I'll pay more at NFM.com to get something similar, but knowing that I'll get excellent customer service.
One is the lowest rating but Granite Transformations should be rated 0. If you are thinking about hiring Granite Transformations to remodel your kitchen you will end up disappointed. The first counter top they delivered was cracked and was not installed. The second counter top was installed and before the installers left we were discovering faded areas and impressions in the granite that were not suppose to be there. Granite Transformation would not refund my money for the counter top. When they started working on my cabinets the person refacing my cabinets had little experience. The plumber ended up doing the crown molding and did a horrible job. Requested a refund again but no such luck. Had to hire an attorney because GT kept promising me they would correct the problems but never did. Tried talking with the corporate office in Florida and their reply was they were not responsible. Defacing your cabinets will never look like the cabinets in their showroom. The refacing material they used was cracked and they knew it was cracked but they still glued it to my cabinets. They will not stand behind their life time warranty, so if you are going to the Ideal Home Show in Raleigh save yourself some grief and suffering and keep walking by the Granite Transformations booth. You will do yourself a huge favor.
I had a situation where a contractor that I found through Houzz was extremely rude, disrespectful, threatening and even obscene with me. The contractor was angry, because I submitted a less than flattering review, and he assured me that he would get the negative review removed from the site. I contacted Houzz to let them know. The person I spoke with was horrified. He asked me for specifics, and I even sent him screenshots of the conversation I had with the contractor that was so inappropriate. The man from Houzz assured me that someone higher up would get back to me and agreed that the contractor was completely out of line. Needless to say, nobody ever contacted me. I tried several times to speak with someone, but I just received an email stating that they don't get between homeowners and "professionals". In fact, they ended up taking down my review. My review, by the way, wasn't even that bad. In the end, the contractor won. He again has all amazing reviews. By the way, you might want to check out the fact that almost all of the Houzz contractors have nothing but terrific reviews. Hmmmmm... I don't understand why Houzz has a rating system if they are going to take down the negative reviews. Shame on them for turning their back on a homeowner who was just asking for their assistance. Isn't that the entire purpose of the site?
I bought some marble pieces for my bathroom remodeling. Upon opening the box my workers realized that every single piece is broken. RIght away i reported to the seller and that is where everything started. I had to send photographs of the broken items. I aksed the workers to do so and send pictures to the seller. He never got then and asked for more pictures, so I send it again. Then house rep contacted me a week later saying that this is not enought photographs and that i need to photograph every single piece. By that time the workers had already disposed of the broken pieces and I had to roam through bags of trash looking for broken marble. I found some and send more pictures. I asked for a refund. 2 -3 weeks later I get an email asking to return all the broken pieces and to make sure i send them all because my refund depends on how many pieces I send. Damn, nobody told me to save all the broken pieces in order to get my refund a month later. This website has the worst return policy and the worst customer service. One have to be extremely careful ordering from them. I will just have to back charge my credit card to get my money back. I should have bought on amazon or hundreds of other websites where they actually have normal return policy.
No question but it looks like you should be very careful about placing an order here. Not good...
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Stay away, the experience was so bad I honestly thought the whole website was a scam. I've dealt with actual scammers on ebay that are better than this. I honestly don't know how they are still in business.
Dont order from them
I ordered tile and it was 12 by 12 and I ordered three- they canceled and said they were 3 by 6 and i could only order one
Tried to buy a dishwasher which was to arrive within 2 weeks. Staff was friendly and checked on status. All OK. With 3 different warehouses and 400 dishwashers. However, when due date arrived, apologetic but internal investigation in warehouse. Would not, could not meet order.
I contacted Fireplace Fashions, Rochester, NY for information on having a gas log installed in our fireplace. Their staff was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. A code violation with existing fireplace was discovered by their personnel and a guide to fixing the problem was provided. We now have a beautiful gas log - professionally installed. These are the folks to see!

Houzz is very helpful for remodeling for home design and constructor work and got very new ideas for making home.
Without going into too much frustrating detail... We bought a beautiful blue carpet, called Coral Reef. We read the details. Took a close look. (Only one photo, but it could be magnified.) The carpet arrived in a timely fashion, but it was an ugly green.
Now they did say it was not returnable... but come on... we bought Blue and got Green!?! This is NOT right. After phone calls and emails. Their solution was a 10% discount, on a carpet that was nothing close to what we wanted. We were willing to absorb the shipping cost of 80 dollars to send it back... but they wouldn't go for that!
Horrible business practice. They obviously don't care about customer satisfaction.
Buy at your own risk... and good luck. We will never deal with this company again.
Fortunately our lesson was only a couple of hundred dollars, it could have been much worse... and that's all I have to say about that.
Bought a 1,000 dollar crackled glass table from Houzz. It said free delivery. Fed Ex came and dumped it on my front lawn. I hired a glass company to bring it inside and assemble it. The table was just for decor---never sat around----nothing heavy put on it. After a few months, a crack started from one edge and spread across the width of the table. Houzz was a nightmare to deal with. They finally got the vendor to agree to replace it---and they want to dump it on my lawn again! Dealing with Houzz is a horror show. Make purchases DIRECTLY from ONE vendor that will be accountable. Houzz is simply a warehouse with no customer service, no accountability, and no care whatsoever.
It's been almost a year since I purchased two expensive lamps on Houzz. One of the shades on the lamp was damaged. I immediately caused Houzz and reported it. I only asked that they replace the damaged shade, not the lamp. Each time I followed-up I was told it would be taken care of. I sent photographs of the damaged lamp shade and heard nothing nor did I receive the replacement shade. I did another follow-up a few days ago and was told that because the ticket is 1 year old there's nothing they can do. I reported this several times. I even sent another picture which they asked me to do a few days ago. Now I'm told that the lamp is no longer in stock so that can replaced the damaged shade. WOW, Really? I've spent thousands of dollars on Houzz in the past several years and this is how you get treated. I would not recommend buying anything from them.

TOTALLY FALSE ADVERTISING! COMPUTER GLITCH... MY BUTT! THEY ADVERTISED AN ITEM FOR $50 I PURCHASED IT WITH EXCITEMENT. 2 HOURS LATER I WENT TO SHOW MY DAUGHTER MY NEW PURCHASE ONLY TO NOT FIND IT IN MY CART. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THE ORDER WAS CANCELLED DUE TO A COMPUTER GLITCH AND THE ACTUAL PRICE IS $299.99. I ASKED YOU HAVE TO HONOR THE ADVERTISED PRICE AND THE REP SAID, "NO WE DON'T".
WHAT A SCAM!
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
