The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

We had Kettle Valley Woodworks from Kelowna B. C. build us a Murphy bed and were very pleased with the result. Wayne took our request by e-mail and 3 weeks later, Daniel and Micheal came to Chase(2 hours from Kelowna) and installed it in about 1 hour. We are very impressed with the final result and definetly recommend this company. Jerry and Cheryl H.
I ordered a wall clock & was charged $35.91 instead of the price on the web site of $16.32. When calling Houzz about the returning the clock, they gave a vague apology for their outside vendor & said I need to email them. There is no way to call KTM Ventures to actually speak with a human being. I've requested pre-paid return postage since I was overcharged in the first place. If I had read the reviews online before I ordered, I would never have order through Houzz.
The stuff on the website looks good but DON'T DO IT.
BUYER BEWARE-our neighbors warned us if the cheap half a%# work done on our new home and we wish we listened. From the simplest of things from grouting a tub and kitchen counters to also include electric all backwards and hot water is cold/cold water is hot to the not so simple from roofing without proper adhesive to fencing with no foundation or rebar. So much more, after 7 months still not rectified. We wish we listened and now hope to save others from the experience before us.
The worst experience working with this company. Ignored their own policies, staff has no clue what they're doing. All E-mails were answered with templates, without ever reading them and addressing the actual problem. Customer service was rude and unprofessional. They have the attitude of Amazon, but without the professionalism and support. Just the attitude.
I placed an order for a double vanity on the day it was supposed to arrive I received an email that they canceled my order. I called to see why they took it upon themsleves to cancel my order. They told me to just replace the order. I was frusterated but agreed. The price went up 200 dollars on my order. I explained the original price was 200 dollars cheaper and was told the manufacturer increased the price. They have some nerve cancelling my order and lieing about it. They canceled my order because the price went up. They told me to pay full price and then they would reach out to the vendor and see if they can get me a lower price. What a scam I am disgusted with them I will never order anything from houzz again. Amazon and Wayfare are much better!
Bought 2 items about 3 weeks ago. Called customer service several times and was fed lies. Today I was looking up my order and it no longer existed and i was never notified. Thanks a lot for wasting my time Houzz
I was new to this website and was about to order a couch. Added it to the cart, the price was $834, went to get a credit card which took literally 2 minutes, started to check out and the price changed from $834 to $1046. 99. If that's how you guys do your business, you will not profit a single penny from me! You were so greedy and tried to rip me off by $213 and you got no order from me and for sure no future orders ever, I work to hard for my money to just waste it away like that. Bought the same couch at Overstock for $869, $35 more but at least they are not playing it with the prices like you just did.
Do not be misled by their competitive pricing... I ordered a light over a month ago, received the wrong item and just this morning- after one month- they send an email stating "your return has been approved"... NO, I JUST WANTED THE CORRECT ITEM!
If you have time to correspond with a company for weeks and still not have a resolution or the item you purchased, go ahead and buy from them!
The beauty that you will find at Pettet of one of a kind antique doors and mantels, is only exceeded by the craftsmanship of Tim and the outrageous professional service you will enjoy from Robinson & Rick.
It's been a month and I'm still dealing with the damaged merchandise in my garage. I simply asked for a replacement of damaged parts. They acted as if I purchased the product from someone else. They know nothing about the product Or anything else. The matter is now with American Express for resolution. I would never deal with Houzz again.
I am so done with Houzz.com! I have ordered several times from Houzz and NEVER ONCE received my order when it was promised. Delay after delay after delay with no explanation. So frustrating!
I, too, wish I read these reviews before I ordered. They sent me the wrong product and still, after almost a month, I am waiting for resolution despite multiple calls and emails. I did finally get a return label but not until after I threatened, which is not the kind of person I ever want to be.
As of today, per FedEx tracking, they appear to be in receipt of the returned product AND my money. If I don't get a response by this afternoon, I will take action.
There are way too many other good sites to order from. I am deleting my account and will NEVER order from them again.
I would do that. I had ordered a bath vanity from HOUZZ and had a promised delivery date (within a 3-day span). On the day of the last day of the promised delivery, I woke up at 3 a.m. and checked my email. At 1 a.m., a rep from HOUZZ sent me a a "chipper" email saying that my order had been cancelled as they were out of stock. They hope they didn't inconvenience me. I could see this happening an hour after ordering or even a day, but cancelling it on the day it was supposed to be delivered was outrageous. I had a builder waiting to install it and tiles and flooring installed based on the look of the vanity. At 3:30 am I had to start looking for something that could be delivered quickly that could meet my needs. With little time to investigate, I had to go for something that I didn't like nearly as much and that I had to pay more for. Houzz really let me down. I will never buy from them again... never. They are totally irresponsible.
I received my bar stools... opened one box... leg was chipped and the leather was stained/damaged... called immediately... explained... they said it'd be 24 to 48 hours while they review... I then receive an email stating that they need pictures of the damage... I explained I had already put it back in the box and did not bother opening the other boxes... long story short... had to unpack. Take pictures... now I'm waiting... again... to see if they'll allow me to return... Did I mention I had to call and email a zillion times as well... oh and Taylor hung up on me... NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE... TO SAY THE LEAST!
So I found a fan on this site for $135. Attempted to buy the fan on this site immediately and had to open an account which took less than 5 min. After this I added the $135 fan to my cart again and the price changed. From listing to cart the price changed. I would understand if I had taken a day to think about it. I would understand if I had taken hours to think about it. I took only as long as the checkout process allowed for and the price changed. I even went back to the listing and it was the $135 price for the oil rubbed bronze which again changed from listing to cart. I had to wait till Monday to call customer service because they were closed. I took a screenshot of the correct price and passed it on as well as the narrative of what happened. After being told they would take care of it, no problem, I waited a week to get a couple different versions of the same response.
" I apologize, but that is the price listed for that seller on this fan at this time. I did look around for some other sellers, however, they are pricing that fan the same at this time. If you have any other questions at all, please feel free to reach back out and I will be happy to see what I can do! Thanks and have a great day. "
They are whores and will never stop sending you emails. It is impossible to get off their lists. They have like hundreds of lists. You try to unsubscribe from one then you get an email from three more.
Ordered a fan and a lamp. Got email that the fan has shipped, but the tracking # is invalid (I see now, that others have written this). 2nd email that lamp has shipped, valid tracking #. Received. Lamp base was VERY securely packaged. The lampshade however was packaged as an afterthought and arrived smashed in. There is also a rust type stain on the white shade on top of the wrinkled cracks. After reading these reviews, I will not even pursue customer service. Off to buy a shade for a lamp base... Boooo
I ordered a picture frame. I was unable to track it as they gave me the wrong number. I received it today carefully packaged and marked GLASS. Unfortunately, there was no glass only plastic for the picture. Also, the plastic and frame were both scratched! Horrible experience.
Beware... if you need to return anything to this company it won't happen. Both Houzz and the original seller sent the exact same messages to me stating that tracking instructions and a tracking number would follow. They never did. The company made it impossible for me to return my item so I eventually gave up and am now stuck with a $70 item that I don't need. However, I will make the best of this situation and donate it to Habitat for Humanity. Houzz needs to get its act together.
I ordered a fan over 3 weeks ago. Still haven't recieved it. I was given a tracking number but, it doesn't seem to be tracking the package. It says the label has been created. It's been saying that for 5 days now. It feels like it's shipping from China. Heck, I'd get a package from China earlier than I would buy anything off of here.don't buy from this website if you're in a hurry because, it'll take over a month for if to arrive or not even shipped all.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
