The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

Ordered a set of stools got two different ones. Contacted Jouzz customer service four times. Almost three weeks now and no resolution. Next step my credit card company or BBB. Can't get anything from this horrible company.
It truly makes you appreciate Amazon, this is exactly how you don't sell things online. I was like a sailor in a whore house, begging for someone to take my money and it wasn't happening, awful concept, execution, delivery, training, reliability... stay away.
Sent me a duplicate order and refused to refund the money for the second order. We never picked it up from the delivery truck as we did not order two of the same items. It went back to them but they refused to refund the money. Will never buy from them again!
Purchased, installed a door awning, broke and damaged my wall! Contacted houzz, manufacturer and never got a response after awhile! I never got a refund! I hate and will never shop again in this store!
Placed an order with Houzz. The order was lost in transit. I called Houzz and they said they would work with the seller to provide a refund and get back to me. I heard NOTHING back from them. After waiting 10 days, I finally called Houzz back and they said they would immediately issue me a refund which will take a few days to show in my account. We shall see. I would not order from them again.
Very disorganized business. Makes promises they don't keep. Poor communication. Terrible customer service. Order from any other company but Houzz. This upstart company just can't hang with the others and follow through with orders.
Had a full rehab of a condo done mostly because of the ratings and recommendation of the contractor through Houzz. Terrible experience. I reviewed the contractor, and they threatened me with a lawsuit and a lien against my property unless I took the review down from Houzz, which Houzz had to help me with because you cannot delete a review without Houzz doing it for you. Houzz told me that they actually protect the buyer as well as the seller and were shocked that the contractor threatened me that way, yet Houzz did nothing but take down the review. Seems strange that the "seller/contractor" ONLY has great reviews and not ONE bad review. Seems like Houzz doesn't represent the buyer, only the serller
I ordered a 4 piece outdoor seating set for $275. The order clearly shows four pieces, loveseat, table, two chairs and cushions. I only received the love seat and table. When I inquired to the seller as to the whereabouts of the chairs, they said they made a mistake in the ad and the 4 piece set was actually $475. I went back and forth with the seller. He offered to sell them to me for $100 more. I contacted Houzz. After two weeks of CONSTANTLY calling and emailing me, they said their solution was to refund my money, take the set back (after I disassembled it, of course) and refund my money. To apologize they would offer me 10% off! Are they kidding? My other option was to wait a month for the chairs that are advertised to ship in 7-10 days. The seller said he was out of stock, yet they are advertising them to be in stock. Someone is getting lied to here! The sellers are unscrupulous and Houzz is no better... stay away!
I ordered a leather sofa in March because it was advertised MADE IN USA and offered by Silver Coast Company. After two full months and many calls regarding the location of the sofa it finally arrived buried under plastic with a large sticker MADE IN CHINA! When I called Houzz it was explained to me the sofa is made of American components but built in China due to high American labor costs, Houzz also denied it was advertised as made in Usa, which is a flat out lie! After removing layers of plastic packing the sofa looks like a product of China, paper thin leather masquerading as" top grain leather a family heirloom to be passed from generation to generation" as advertised! Houzz and Silver Coast Company need to be investigated. 1800. 00 after the fact I implore you to bypass this site and save yourself a lot of headache and being being played a fool...
I normally buy from wayfair however the item was slightly cheaper on houzz so I took a chance. The delivery was late because part of the table was not picked up however houzz was unaware of this. They has sent me an email asking how I liked my new table. When it finally arrived only the bottom half of the table came and one of the pieces was damaged. They forgot to pick up the top. Houzz sent me the sellers information to contact them instead of assisting me. Houzz said since the seller would not compensate me (2 days off work because the delivery messed up), houzz could not do anything. Houzz is not willing to take ownership of their vendors mess ups. I was initially told I would get compensated and then Amanda said no and offered a coupon for ten percent off for next time knowing I would never be buying from houzz again.
Bought 2 picture frames. They shipped only one but charged me for both. I called to cancel but instead they shipped out and would not refund me. I am still waiting for a response from Houzz. This is the worst customer service I have ever had... i will never use them again. Don't uses them!
I placed an order for a table and received shipping tracking for it. I couldn't, however, get the tracking and couldn't get a straight answer from Houzz. Finally, it was determined that the table was never shipped due to actually being out of stock, but my card was charged.
They placed another order for me for a different table, but after three days, I received an email saying it was out of stock.
It's been nearly a week and I still haven't received a refund. There are too many logistical and operational issues. I think they are trying to be Etsy with a bunch of furniture sellers who actually do not care about customer service, which is why it's a nightmare.
Bottom line: after hours of customer service calls, trying to track the shipment of a table that was never shipped, and attempting to get a refund = NO TABLE.
Not worth your time or headache.
I have made 2 purchases on houzz. The first was for wallpaper from Pebblestone Wallcoverings. I purchased 3 rolls of wallpaper and wanted to see all three before I made my final decision. I received 2 rolls, in 2 separate packages, a week apart. I never received the 3rd roll. I ended up returning the 2 rolls of wallpaper and canceling the 3rd. It took from February 2016 until July 2016, after multiple phone calls, emails, and the threat to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge, to receive a credit on the card.
The second purchase for a print from Art MegaMart. The print looked like it should be in a cheap hotel so I returned it. The print cost $169 and it cost me $80 to return it. Again, it took from March 1,2017 until May 1,2017 and multiple phone calls and emails and the threat to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge before I was finally issued a credit. This was the last time I will purchase through houzz, it is too much of a hassle.
You are responsible for any returns. And customer service is just horrible. Will add more stress to your house renovations than you need. Stay away.
I was going to use Houzz and decided to check-out their reviews. They were terrible! We were going to spend quite a bit, therefore I thought I should do my due diligence! I want to thank everyone who took the time to write about their experience. Reviews really help people make a final decision. So, high-five to all that gave their honest opinions.
I was browsing dehumidifiers and thought I'd found what I wanted, so I placed it in the cart. As I started the checkout process, entered my CC info., I realized the model number wasn't there and I wanted to make sure it was the one I'd been researching. I never went farther with the purchase, but instead contacted Houzz to make certain of the model. They wrote back this morning with partially what I'd asked for. This evening, I get an email that my dehumidifier had been shipped... I never ordered it! They took my CC info and processed the order (@3:00 a.m.?) without my knowledge. Don't know what their problem is, but do not trust this company! I called immediately; they seem confused as to how this happened and are unsure if they can stop the order before it's shipped. I don't order stuff in my sleep, so I'll refuse the order if it arrives and dispute the CC charge.
To continue... FedEx tracking number was fake. They charged me on 5/1 with notification it shipped. Finally discover few days later it never shipped and not in stock. I cancel order and they say we have started process to refund money. Called my bank card company and they confirmed Houzz has NOT started any refund process.
I purchased a beautiful dresser through Houzz. I did not read reviews until after I purchased the item, then of course I was worried. I am now glad I didn't read previously because it may have stopped my purchase. Everything was great, Houzz was very quick with replying, tracking info. Item was sent truck, white glove service, straight from manufacturers and total set up in my room. Outstanding service
We fell for their gimmick as they had a lot of promises and potential to grow our already growing team. 5 months later we have only had one job accomplished for a service we provide and in our actual area. We signed up for a year and have been trying to cancel for two months. They automatically withdraw from our account which we put a stop to and they disputed it. A month has gone by now and our account manager Kailea will not return our numerous calls or respond to email.
We don't use platforms at all but we loved the idea of working with other companies and designers which still hasn't happened to date.
Stay away at all cost as they are great at first or so you think but having to get revie s in order to go live is a joke. We never ask our clients for reviews and have 100% rating on Yelp because clients will tell you how they feel without coaching them.
Houzz SCAMS customers with teachng their vendors to use professional photography and fake reviews lie to consumers about quality and customer service. They will not post negative reviews. Creative Spaces Remodeling is awful, yet they are a 4 time Houzz Customer Sevice award winner based on 16 fake reviews and photos.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
