The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

You better off use Amazon they are more reliable and responsible for their products and third party they deal with.
Anything goes wrong with your order from houzz you get the run around by the end they ask you to pay almost 50% of what they charge you to return the item, I do not think they have any legal right to deduct any money before refunding you back this is illegal practice. Other reliable companies stand behind their product and they are fair to their customers. Stay away.
I have posted 4 times a genuine and honest review on Estezo Estates. Each time Houzz has taken it down. Do not trust this company. Basically companies pay Houzz a monthly fee. Because of this, all bad reviews are controlled and deleted on their site. Stay away from Houzz. Nothing they have posted is to be trusted!
I will never buy anything from Houzz again. Ordered an item but they didnt have an adequate description. Unless you are very well versed in the products as a contractor knowing all the specs for the item youd better know ALL the specs on what your trying to buy, then check again with the listing, to be sure because YOU CANT RETURN IT WITHOUT PAYING RETURN SHIPPING. My item did not have all the necessary spec info on the Houzz description and definitely wouldn't work.
HOUZZ REFUSED TO PAY RETURN SHIPPING EVEN THO THE PRODUCT DIDN'T HAVE CORRECT INFO AND SENT THE WRONG ITEM FOR WHAT I NEEDED. I WAS CHARGED THE UNNECESSARY COST FOR RETURNED SHIPPING AND STILL HAD TO BUY ANOTHER ONE FROM A MUCH MORE DEPENDABLE SITE WHO HAS MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AMAZON.
HOUZZ has lost a customer but dont think they really care or will post my review.
Terrible experience with the first time using Houzz.
I tried to apply the coupon promotion code Houzz offered for my purchase and couldn't do it. After all my useless atemps to do so, I called the customer service who gave me a lame excuse for not be able to use it for my purchase. I called again and they lied that coupon was not valid, bc it was expired. I double checked the promo coupon but it still had 2 weeks to go before the expiration. They mislead ppl with sale and promotions by trapping them with good deals, but in reality they don't honor they offers. Very disappointed with wasting my time and dealing with this customer service. Not a fair business,
I contacted Houzz about making a return of some tables I ordered. Houzz then contacted the seller but it ignored all calls and inquiries from Houzz for nearly 2 weeks, and Houzz finally had to give the seller an ultimatum to contact me. After 2 weeks and repeated inquiries by me to Houzz Customer Support, I'am still waiting for the seller to send me their return address and return authorization #, which must be written on the package or the return will not be processed. Without this information Houzz will not send me the return shipping label. Houzz has an agreement with each seller that they are required to respond to the buyer within 2 days of Houzz notifying the seller of the return request. Even though this agreement exists, Houzz has very little influence or leverage over the seller to comply. If it did I would not have been on this merry-go-round for the last 2 weeks. The only recourse for Houzz would be to cancel its agreement with this seller, but their is little or no recourse for the buyer. When it comes to returns, both Houzz and the buyer are pretty much at the mercy of the seller and this should not be. A return of merchandise should be a simple process, however in my case its been my worst nightmare, so keep this in mind when ordering anything from Houzz. It is important to note that Houzz is only a website and it has no facilities of its own for receiving returned merchandise, unlike some of its competitors, so it must rely on the cooperation of the seller. Needless to say, I will not be ordering anything from Houzz in the future and I plan to take further action in this matter. Jesse V.
Ordered a bed with "free delivery". The delivery company is a small organization that literally uses an answering machine to answer the phone. Left multiple messages to arrange delivery with no call backs. The delivery company has had my bed for nearly 2 months and still no delivery date scheduled. I called Houzz and they said it's not their problem and keep calling the delivery company. Houzz offers no customer service once they have their cut of whatever you purchase from their vendors. I've wasted countless hours simply trying to get a bed delivered. Not worth the trouble. I have no confidence that I will ever receive the item at this rate. Do not subject yourself to this level of frustration over a piece if furniture. To sayHouzz do es not stand behind their saleis a complete understatement. Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere!
They sent the wrong item. First Houzz would have nothing to do with it and I had to contact seller directly. Fine. Seller was non-responsive beyond "they'd look into it." Took a week and threatening to start a charge back through my cc company for them to issue refund. After all that they don't even want the item back. If it is that unimportant why such an ordeal to receive the refund?
Stay away unless you like to feel totally ripped off. Overpriced and not at all consumer friendly. You have only 30 minutes from the time you order to cancel. They are totally inflexible in their cancellation and return policy (fine print), they refuse to price match and once you order they try to force you to accept the item. On top of it they seem very disorganized. If someone calls you about your order they don't leave an extension. When you call back and get through the confusing phone tree, the person on the other end doesn't know who it was that called you. They are a HOT MESS. I will never order anything from HOUZZ again, EVER!
If you have a problem with your order do not count on Houzz to offer any support. They do not respond to inquiries. You'll find yourself following up over and over again until you give up. This has happened to me with 2 different purchases. One was a leaky kitchen faucet and the other bathroom faucets that were not described properly on their website. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.
Ordered 4 dining room chairs. They shipped 2 and billed me for four.
They act like a retailer but when you have issues they say we are just a marketplace for other retailers.
1 month after receiving my first 2 chairs. Which took 3 weeks to get. I have emails saying the retailer is shipping the other 2 but no tracking number...
The customer service personnel are obviously trained well with empathy but then you find out they are not empowered to get anything done...
Horrible business model. Avoid this company no matter how good the deal looks
Unable to get the manufacturer to replace the part I needed, Houzz sent me a whole new product free of charge. Thanks, Houzz
An item I ordered was shipped from the factory defective. It wasn't damaged in transit. I'm getting no cooperation from Houzz in getting a replacement for the factory defect.
I ordered a faucet from Houzz. The faucet what shipped in one of Houzz's boxes which was not suitable for shipping products. The box arrived damaged and missing parts. I contacted Houzz to return the item and their response was very disappointing. They basically said the shipped item wasn't their problem and the manufacture of the item would contact me 2-3 business days. If you are the store front and the shipper of the item, then step and take responsibility for the crappy shipping service you provided. If this is how you going to treat your customer and the companies you represent, sooner or later they are going to go leave you for someone else. Fix your shipping issues and fix your customer service issues.
Ordered 2 night stands and a dresser. Got the night stands but only one was right the second was completely different. Tried to replaced it and was told to wait. After a week I called again and was told the item is out of stock:-( Also, the dresser was canceled, but no one sent me any notification emails, or even call. I find it out when I called about replacement for the night stand. Now I am trying to return the nightstands ( both.)... already a week and still waiting for labels... Don't buy from them... I got a display cabinet from the same collection for my living and we like it so much, but I bought it from another website...! So bad they didn't have bedroom furniture and only Houzz has it... The worse ever.!
To all do not order or buy from that company. If you returned wrong item example $1200 your return is $500 rest goes to restocking fee( even you got the wrong color)I am looking for customers with the same experience so we can file group suit. Please contact me*******141 or email *******@yahoo.com
Ordered a desk chair. It arrived damaged and my daughter did not like it. The seller offered to give me 12 dollars for leather cleaner (its vinyl) and that's it. I paid 180 dollars for the chair. I did not know it is a Chinese seller. There are no returns on imported merchandise. Still fighting to get a refund. They won't even tell me where to return it. Stay with Amazon with its easier return policies. DO NOT BUY FROM HOUZZ UNLESS YOU ENJOY AGGRAVATION!
They are very selective about the reviews they put on their site. I placed a negative review about a business I used to do a patio/fireplace and they deleted it!
Pictures are good, the products are made in China ready for garbage. Impossible to get your money back.
Doesn't come worst than them
Ordered a product for the first time ever from Houzz on 8/30/17 and to this day I am still having issues with them. The WORST part was today 10/11/17 at 1:15pm EST (find that Manager) I was told by the Manager that I only spent XX amount of money and why am I being such a bother? I will never order from this company EVER again and will truly encourage anyone who asks me the same and all because of the ONE manager I spoke to today. He was awful and made me feel awful! If I was one of the celebrities I most recently have seen on TV endorsing them I would rethink my energy elsewhere.
I purchased a chair and it was delivered on the 29th of Sept. I pd $272.99 for the chair and on Oct 10 it was advertised on their site at $237.40. Called company and they would not honor a price match. I got hung up on 3 times, left on hold for over 23 minutes twice. I will never purchase from them again, and I suggest future customers understand they don't matter at all to this company. Buyer Beware!
Sent the wrong item. Sellers mistake not mine but refused to pay the return shipping. Make sure you are aware that Houzz policy states you are responsible for return shipping on orders. Even though the rug they sent was not the size they they advertised it to be.
I wonder what would happen with a damaged item. Better stick with Amazon.
This will be the last thing I ever order from Houzz.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
