The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

Unbelievably poor customer surface! They may be smiling when they lie to you but they lie to you. I was so angry and they discounted my concern and told me to have a nice day. I'm done with Houzz. Sorry I spent hundreds of dollars with this outfit.
This shire should be shutdown their costumer Service sucks they lie. I bought an item that cost 350 dollars they said it was free shipping and free returns thats what the sells person said and when I tried to return it they said you have to put for it and shipping cost $160 for ground thats more than half. Such fake company shut it down. There frauds
Ordered a couch from them, 5 days later I get an email that they have cancel my order because its out of stock, but already took payment so now I have to wait for a refund for another 5 days, beware, will not buy from them again.
I hate their website. If you forget your user id or password, your screwed. Declaring you're not a robot, and having to go through three series of pictures just to get them to send you a link to reset your password is unacceptable. So I decided to call-in my order. First guy asked me for first and last name, only to transfer me. I went through three different connections/music tones and over 4 min. Before I decided to hang-up. Won't be dealing with Houzz anymore. Unfortunately, I'll have to find an alternate to my fabric selection, but I'll manage. It's interesting to read how many other people are so disappointed with their customer service.
I tried a simple search -- kitchens, US, mid-century/traditional. Very disappointed with the results (or lack of). No samples of typical colors of that period, or cabinet styles. No retro samples, and even the modern appliances look out of place.
I just purchased a (Milano 130 Modern LED TV Cabinet Console 55 Inch TV Stand, Black) and on the website it said FREE DELIVERY. I went through the process of purchasing the item and overlooked that I was charged for delivery. I did not notice the charge until I received the order conformation. The next day I called customer service and informed them of my situation. I also provided them a screen shot of where it said free delivery. The response I received was shocking. The customer service rep apologized for the misinformation and said they will have the website updated but I will not receive the free delivery like I was promised on there website. Then the customer service rep proceeded to tell me he will cancel my order, without even asking me if I wanted it canceled. I wished I would of looked at the reviews before I made my purchase. Sounds like they carry great products but if something goes wrong and its Houzz's fault, they will not take responsibility for there actions.
I'm conflicted as since my review, I rec'd a full refund on the 2 items (one went on sale--over 50% off-- the day I got the notification and saw they'd reduced the priced over 50% on that item.)
I paid over $17.50 to ship back, but put 2 items in one pkg, to Utah, as I was so angry with them. I was told I'd get full shipping back. Nope. In the end, the shower curtain will look nice, but be aware, esp if you make a return, to keep track of charges. They have a statement regarding returns on site, but honestly, we; ve already paid to DELIVER it to us. They claim free shipment, but it's not true. They hit you on the returns. Still, very good quality items, but ret'ng wore me out!
Here's my question: Do you realize your 1 star reviews number 360? You just made it 361. You have no intention of refunding w/o huge fees. Corrupt. I dare you to refund my money, and it's been 3 weeks of hell and no answers or refunds. If it's the distributors fault, as confirmed by Karen F, then more shame to you for ignoring it. LESSON LEARNED AND YES, AMAZON IS AT LEAST, NON-CORRUPT. Time for attorneys general in both states to be notified. Sickening and why not just throw $100 out my car window for them?
Have you ever tried to return an item you purchased on the Houzz website?
It is really a joke. The Sellers do not respond and the Houzz reps respond in a week or two with non responsive questions.
If you want something you see on Houzz, write down the item's name and BUY IT ON AMAZON. It is an easier and safer place to buy items for your home.
The quality of Items I received were at best sub standard. Houzz is like a clearing house for other companies. You will never know what you are getting till it arrives. Then its too late. When buying furniture its best to actually see and experience what you considering for a purchase. Shop before you buy, especially with furniture. Its not worth the financial risk to deal with Houzz or there affiliated suppliers. Our overall cost to get rid of a almost 600 dollar order was 325 dollars which included restock and shipping.
They told me the cost to return a $250 chair was $84! They told me to drop it off at FedEx! Its really heavy. I cant believe how horrible their return policy is
Purchased an area rug online. They sent me the wrong one. Many calls, emails and being on hold they finally sent the correct rug. I returned the incorrect rug after I had to keep calling and emailing to get a return label. Then after I thought I was done with them they sent a duplicate rug. Again, after many calls and emails they told me that given my inconvenience I could keep the rug. Yesterday, 3 weeks later I received an email telling me to return the rug. I reminded them that they told me I could keep the rug. They said they had to escalate my issue to level 2. Lol.
Horrid experience. Rate them 0.

I ordered a bed 4 months ago and it was delivered to me 4 times damaged from LA. Finally I got a supervisor to help me with all of these issues Anthony M. And I don't know what I would of done without him is absolutely amazing. Finally he made it happen and got me a bed and resolved all issues. He was so helpful and amazing.
Tried to return a lamp, but couldnt get in touch w vendor within the 15-day return period. Unimpressive. Will never order from them again.
- Arrived damaged, honest mistake, shipping company probably dinged it.
- Asked for replacement parts because only two parts were damaged during shipping.
- Had to follow up a total of 4-6x before I had any type of decent response from Houzz.
- After receiving a response that they'll send the parts, I was informed it would be two weeks which was unacceptable.
- I had to call three additional times to get them to expedite the shipping.
- The replacement parts arrived and I received 1/2 of the parts I needed even though all of the ticket information included pictures, labels, and exact identifiers for what parts were damaged.
- I guess third times a charm?
This is my second time working with Lee. He and his workers squeeze me in to help with some squirrels eating up my rotting wood on my fascia. Thanks so much for your quick response, suggestions and repairs. These squirrels had bionic teeth for sure and really wanted to live in my house!
I purchased two aluminum patio covers from Kismet Patio Covers, several weeks ago. I was impressed by the prompt and direct communications during the entire process. Everything arrived when they said it would, quality product, and was exactly what I ordered. The contractor they use for installation was also top notch. Kismet Patio Covers contacted me afterwards to ensure the process was complete.
So, I ordered two mirrors. One arrived within a reasonable timeframe, packaged well. It is decent although not as advertised. The mate arrived much later, packaged differently, and damaged. It also had a different hanging mechanism.
This is the second order I placed with them that was disappointing. Make a fool of me once, shame on you. Second time, I am done. Deleting the app. No more
Houzz dot com: DON'T!
The vinyl bathroom wall paper I ordered to use on the back wall in the new Master Bath, I found it on houzz.com. They listed 9 rolls and I ordered 2. NINE IN STOCK! READY FOR ORDER! Delivery in about a week and a half. HAH!
First they wrote and told me that OOPS! Not for an extra month, no explanation.
Then, the cancelled the order. CANCELLED THE ORDER! Out of stock.
Nope. Not when I ordered.
When I complained, they said "sorry, but too bad. Here's a 10% coupon."
ON WHAT? I'm never ordering from them ever again.
There were 9 rolls when I ordered. Before anybody else could sneak in and order all nine, I'm guessing.
And they won't back order for more than a month and the supplier can't guarantee restock in December WHICH IS WHEN THEY PROMISED TO SEND THE DELAYED ORDER.
Houzz dot come. Don't knock on their door!
F-!
I ordered MIA MELLANNI "FINE" LINENS and the day before I was to receive the order, I get an e-mail cancellation. I don't have time to go into the negligence lack of professionalism that followed, but I will NEVER use this site or buy MIA MELLANNI linens ever again. This was the worst first interaction from an online retailer I have ever had. HOUZZ is garbage.
Do not use Houzz. If you have a problem they will not get back to you. They moved my negative review on their website and they blamed the distributor for the problem. The problem was that they misrepresented themselves on their website.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
