The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

I just spent 1 1\2 hours due not being able to get Any info on USA wood, standing armoire/closets looking at web sites on line. New iPad, so not the problem. They represent many smaller businesses now apparently. First rep tried to be helpful. Website wasn't working. Purposeful or a website glitch. Could get no info without calling about each item. I needed dementions & shipping info. Next rep I called about 2nd item had an attitude & talked down to me, despite my patience. Finally asked for manager. After 10 minutes of scratchy music was told no manager available. I said "wow"! Response was Have a good day. Bye! Dial tone! I consider myself lucky not to have purchased from them! This office was out of Tennessee. Ps my first time being motivated to write a neg review!
I received only the bottom parts from both chairs and when I called, that stupid (very young) woman on the phone said" calm down or I hand up, I want to help you, you have to take DETAILED PICTURES OF WHAT YOU RECEIVED. I told her that I am not the CROOK here and to give me a manager, which he was quite nice, but all together I AM CURED FROM BUYING ONLINE FOR GOOD. Because it has happen to me 4 times an I not always got the money back, so I AM FINISH WITH BUYING ONLINE FROM ANY VENDOR. They can thank themselves for it and there stupid and rude employees.
I have received about 20 leads from Houzz, All have the same characteristics, nobody picks up the phone, nobody returns your call, no matter how many time you call or leave massages.
I am filling a lawsuit against these people with all documentation to show They are sending FAKE leads.
Anybody wants to join me, please contact Tony at *******129
Dont waste you money on trying to promote your architectural business here. It's very over priced and I didnt get one single lead for the entire year I joined.
Always send either a wrong product or missing parts of the product and it takes months until they fix the problems! Never again purchasing from them
Talk about confused staff, lack of follow-through, and poor customer service all posing as a "caring company." This is a company the has very low level communication skills and doesn't do a good job on delivering. They look good, but I wouldn't waste my time. I ended up canceling my order I never got after waiting for 17 days.
We ordered a bathroom wall cabinet and they sent us a wrong product. We called and told them the same day we received it. The person I talked to agreed. They have not issued the refund. They wanted the pictures of the box, sent them all sides. They don't log the items ordered and items sent according to the rep. Really bad company. Don't ever buy anything from houzz.com. They do not know what they are doing.
Very very bad company. I wish I could give negative rating.
I just bought a bed from Houzz, my first time ordering from them. The bed has the SHODDIEST workmanship ever, suffice it to say that the width at the head of the bed is a full FOUR INCHES NARROWER THAN AT THE FEET, try to find a mattress for that monstrosity! To top it all off, I wrote a review on their website, and I get a pop-up saying that my review MAY BE EDITED! No wonder they only have one review for that bed and it's a four star. The name of the bed is Safavieh Theron Bed-in-a-Box. STAY AWAY!
The tiles are lovely; however, they were apparently mispriced on the Houzz website. Thus, the seller only shipped a fraction of the tiles that I ordered. After writing many emails and speaking with a customer service manager, I was told that Houzz and the seller, Vicci Designs, would not be honoring the price that price that was advertised on the Houzz website.
I explained to the Houzz manager that my kitchen remodel budget is limited and, since I thought I had secured the tiles for my backsplash, I have already ordered accent tiles and bull nose for the planned kitchen design. My budget is now exhausted.
The manager was unmoved. He told me that if I want the tiles, I will have to pay an unspecified additional sum of money. He said that he would get back to me when he had more information. That was three days ago and I have not heard anything more.
They completely let me be ripped off and screwed over by sofamania. They lied about sofamania paying return shipping on 1 of 2 boxes for a bed because I never received the second box. Houzz is the middleman but doesn't want to get in the middle. They do not stand by their customers. Hopefully, they fail miserably.
Ordered Argentina sink vanity. It is probably worth a third of the price. They recommended white glove treatment. Complete opposite, awful. Made a complete mess of my house after me insisting the box had to be opened. Costumer service so awful. 3 phone calls no apology for what happened. They outsource calls. Cannot say how bad the entire experience was.
Your company is a total FRAUD. DONT BUY FROM THEM. After making me wait for a month for a simple item without calling or emailing I had to dispute the purchase with the card company. No apologies, no explanation, nothing. You must complete your customers for such irresponsible behavior.
Signed up with Houzz almost a year ago. Wasn't getting much business from it but, I was still giving it a chance. Recently in December I had a brain hemoriage/brain aneurism and cannot do jobs. I called on several occasions to cancel and explain my situation. I have never spoken to a supervisor, I have tried calling so many times and all I keep getting is "I will have a supervisor call you". I cannot work because of my injury and they continue to charge me $350 a month for something I cannot use. I am still waiting for a call back.
Houzz is a scam, they don't provide good leads and only care about collecting they're monthly fee and when you call to cancel they give you the run around and even after being told my account was canceled they still continued to bill be for the full 12 months. I called back to complain again and they said "sorry you signed the contract and we collected the full amount" pretty much telling me to buzz off and they got what they wanted. I wasted $3000 and didn't sell one job! DON'T SIGN UP!
I received an item that was totally wrong from what I ordered but I thought there would be no problem returning it. When I called customer service for return instructions I was rudely told my choices were to keep it or pay return shipping. This company is no Amazon or not even close. The return shipping was one quarter of what I paid for the item. Never never again Houzz.
Houzz has succumb to garbage by stealing every vendor, distributor possible from their sellers using their platform to do business. Worst, poor sellers have to eat the cost of any return because Houzz has made it possible to return without fees which are 100% charged to each seller causing their sellers to loose and Houzz to wash their hands of any responsibilities. Houzz staff is extremely naive and does not know jack about the product they are selling. Buyers need to be educated of product and application and this is knowledge that Houzz does not have. The staff collect their checks at the end of their pay period and the sellers are left loosing thousands selling with them. Their analytics are based on how much they can get away with screwing their sellers and telling the buyers it is the sellers fault leaving erroneous reviews. Keep on mind, HOUZZ started off as a blog and seen there was a market and in 3 years managed to fool all their buyers in believing they are getting the best deals. If you want to purchase anything for your home go direct with the seller and leave Houzz at the curb it will cost you more with their sellers having to fork over 15% sometimes more to them for whatever you are paying in product or shipping. Buyers beware and Sellers come together and class action them to stop screwing you over a barrel.
I recently purchased one item and Houzz automatically created two orders. One for the item I purchased and another order for something that was in my cart over 2 months ago. I only confirmed the purchased of the one order. I didn't realize the other item was purchased until a day later. I called to cancel the order and they said it was already too late. The item cost $100 and after a restocking fee and shipping charge I only received $15 back. Their "policy" is terrible and they literally refuse to take ownership for anything. I will not be using them in the future.
I will not do business with HOUZZ again. I purchased $$$ of products from them since I am in middle of construction and I had few items I returned to the same vendor and replaced with more expensive items.
My god! Shoot me. Their returns are too difficult and time consuming. They have sucked numerous hours of my life having to re-explain everything over and over again. So tiring... I will not do business here again. I will just order on AMAZON where their RETURN policies are not EXPENSIVE and time consuming.
I purchased a factory (not custom) chair from Houzz on December 13,2017. Houzz's web site said there were seven (7) in stock at the time of purchase. Houzz provided an estimated delivery date between January 24 and Feb 14,2018. With no updates in between, on February 12, Houzz notified me that the new delivery window estimate is March 30-April 20. Houzz appears to be a terrible source for purchasing items. One should stick to finding decorators using this site. Other sources had the chair available at the time I purchased. I will not purchase from this site again.
I ordered a laundry basket a few days ago and received a confirmation that it would be received within a certain window. Now today I get an email saying "we are cancelling your order because the vendor is out of stock". They do not say if your credit card was charged or what if anything is going to happen with a reorder. This is poor. That leaves you with having to call them because on their site it only shows about cancellations for items you want cancelled not the vendor. I will not take my time and reorder from Houzz. Stick with Amazon, Wayfair or another vendor that knows how to fulfill an order in a reasonable timeframe.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
