So, here is what's up.
I ordered 2 bar stools a month ago at this point. I kept following up on my orders and through the fedex link to checkup on the status of my order on the daily.
Things got weird when I get an email from Houzz to rate my product... that I had not yet received? Then I check on my order on Houzz website and it says delivered which is funny cause it had NOT been received. I checkup on the fedex tracking link and there is no update at all so at this point I am confused. I finally am able to get in contact with a Houzz customer service rep who says that the product should be delivered the following day, so I'm happy and excited. The next day comes, and you guessed it... no delivery. I followup on the fedex tracking link and then it says delivered in New Jersey. The problem is that I live in CANADA. At this point I'm frustrated especially cause Houzz does not make it easy to get in contact with any reps, so I am literally left in the dark. After I had to go through a lot of different avenues of contact, I finally get an email from Houzz trying to clarify that the delivered status under fedex just means it reached its final destination in the states before being shipped to Canada and that it should be shipped to me shortly. I take it upon myself to contact fedex cause there has been no status update since May 5th and it is May 17th at this point. Fedex tells me that they're waiting on pieces from Houzz before they can ship it to me. Y'all I am frustrated at this point for the whirl around that I have been given, for the lack of follow through and clarification. I immediately call Houzz (which I had to wait an hour and a half to finally speak to a rep) and poor girl bless her soul had no idea how to help me. I tell her I want to just cancel the order entirely at this point and get a refund cause this is unfair treatment towards me and she informs that she can't do it but the case manager has to. I ask for contact information for this case manager and just for icing on the cake, there's no direct way to speak to this person so she has to leave a note on my file for the person to see to call me from there. So more waiting on my part with no way of knowing when I'll get contacted.
I genuinely cannot even begin to describe my frustration with this process and the fact that I still do not have my stools. Its wild cause I really wanted to give this site a chance over Wayfair and I regret it because I would've had my stools from Mayfair within a week and even if I hadn't, communication with them would've been sooooo much easier than with Houzz.
I'm just hoping that someone will contact me THIS WEEK and something can get sorted cause I am exhausted now.
We recently contracted with New Heritage Wood Floors of Davie Florida to install wood floors in 4 bedrooms and to replace a Teak floor. Mark and his team are the best! They are professional, courteous and keep you informed from the moment you contract with them. Dean, Headley, and Eduardo are a great team and are experts at laying wood floors. They were punctual and kept the mess to a minimum. Would definitely use them again.
As designers, we utilize Houzz Pro for their lead generation capabilities, as well as another channel and opportunity for exposure of our work. Houzz Pro has been a beneficial resource in both areas, while providing additional significance to our business through the achievement of awards and positive client reviews that are posted on our page. They have consistently provided excellent, and timely, support that is individualized to our ever-changing needs. Also, while some of the leads that are generated through the site do not always fall within our parameters for target market, project scope or budget, it has created the opportunity for us to become a part of the greater online community of potential clients, trade partners and professionals created by Houzz.
$80 shower curtain didn't come with a liner, or hooks, or anything. Just the curtain. Nowhere was that mentioned in the product description. Their customer service offered a 10% coupon for a future order. They may have well said they don't care about my issue. Terrible quality too. This place it's just horrible all around.

I joined with Houzz 5 weeks ago, and like any new lead based company these things take time. With that being said I am completely satisfied with the Houzz Team, the service is second to none. We have been with another large lead based company in Canada for over five years and did not have this kind of start and the customer service is week. Very week compared to Houzz. I have been a contractor for decades and provide over the top service and really appreciate seeing the same from Houzz
Matt Moynan signed us up and has been there to answer any questions after the sign up process, and also fielded emails while on holidays in another country... Folks this is rare!
Bailey Chapman just assisted me with an app issue and resolved this in minutes.

Photos and reviews seems so positive - something is fishy…
I have submitted a negative review about a kitchen contractor twice, and Houzz has not posted it. I wrote to them - no phone number, they did not answer.
How is a consumer know who is reliable if they do not post negative reviews and all seems so rosy? This contractor has a Houzz emblem on their website, so i'm guessing they pay to be on the site.
So frustrating! I did not write anything malicious - actually, said the 2 employees seems like nice people. Yet, such disorganization, didn't seem like this job was going to come together, so we fired them and moved on to a company that really know what they are doing.
Would appreciate if anyone else has had any negative experience with Houzz would chime in.

I signed up for this as a trial with the help of * as the sales associate from Houzz, under the understanding the agreement could end at any time. The product seemed to give me a lead to what I was thinking I needed at the time. However the product was clunky and had more advertisements than I ever expected. Very cluttered platform. Then... I tried to call, email, and contact support to cancel the membership. Crickets... Not even a call back or acknowledgement from *. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE support! I had to call my bank and pay for a stop payment on Houzz from taking future payments. Never again!

I ordered a dresser in walnut. They are shipping wrong color. When I contacted them said it only comes in carmel. Went on site and found walnut. I'm screwed! Also two different order numbers

I have only made one purchase from this site, but will definitely be a return customer. I had an issue with the arrival date of my items and they issued me a credit. I then had one of the components to one item I ordered (a fireplace broom) start to lose its bristles and after asking if replacements parts are available was given one surprisingly for free. I did not expect that at all!
I appreciate so much that they bother with creating several drafts before actually preceding to work. I was able to really become a part of the process and fully manage it. The end result was just as i dreamt it to be, and my kitchen is super handy now!
Where do I begin. This was my first time making a purchase from this company and my last time. I received my package and the very same day saw the same item I purchased advertised for $220 less. The description of the item was not accurate. The depth of the stool was listed as 19 inches but it was actually 15, I measured it. I was first told by Houzz that I accidentally received an item of poorer quality. Then because the company who sold it did want to pay for shipping they lied and claimed that they measured it against the wall and it was the correct item. Which doesn't explain the price difference between the item they sold me and the exact item on the site. These people are crooks. Period. To make matters worse, one of the stools was missing an important part so I couldn't assemble it. They suck eggs.

Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!

Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!

The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
