I went to this store today to ask for a dress I had seen online.
The girl at the counter approxamately between 12/1pm 16/7/17 was rude and had a bad unprofessional attitude she directed me to one corner the dress was not in stock as I could not see it what annoys me is she pointed to a back corner rather than show me and when I said was not there she said sorry loveShe then continued to stand behind the till pretending to do things in a already clean shop? She should have been trying to sell the merchandise and not once did she offer to show me any other styles or help me? I eventually found something myself only to get to the changing room and notice a button missing and a hole in the zip and pulls at the bottom dress retailing at £129.The girl who was in the changing room offered help she clearly should have been on the shop floor and not this ignorant woman who lost a customer really as I would have bought something had the experience been better. I now will be going to somewhere else without the ego... joke.
I had been a loyal customer for years until this experience:
Bought a dress, when it came it was covered in shiny marks like it had been ironed. I immediately emailed the company the asked me to send pictures and before I even sent them they said it'll be press marks. I sent said pics and they emailed back to say they were press marks. I sent the dress back at my own expense, then they refunded me the dress minus their shopping cost of £6 and refused to pay me for my delivery costs!
What this company is doing is completely illegal under the consumer rights act and this dress was unfit for purpose! They even told me to go and get the dress dry cleaned at my own expenses! Not once did they offer to exchange the dress for another one without marks.
I spoke to the citizens advice about this and this was their reply:
I have just spoken to the citizens advice and they have advised me that under the consumer rights act the goods were not of a satisfactory quality as the cane marked. I am in my right to ask you for the goods to be put into the original position and that you should of uplifted them from the place of delivery! Are you part of an ADR scheme? If not I will be taking you to a small claims court as ok well within my rights.
This company are bullies and I will not stand for it! For the sake of delivery costs they've lost a customer! I'm absolutely disgusted by the way they've treated me. It's not even about the money it's the principal. It seems I'm not the only one!
I have emailed them over 40 times and I get the same response of: the goods were not faulty and a dry clean would of got the stains out (dry clean at my own expense)
Please think twice about using this company!
I will be taking them to a small claims court to recover my money and I really hope other people push the consumer rights act on them! It's illegal what they're doing!

Be and end all, they get your money then bin you off. For such a high value product, i am massively disappointed. Will never buy from this company again.
I ordered a body suit and it fit, so I removed the tags and wore it. By the time I got home, the collar was coming apart from the shirt. I sent it back and they resewed it in a crappy way. THen the bodysuit ripped apart again the ext time I wore it. I returned it again, and they sent me a new one. Guess what, it ripped the first tie I wore it again. They refuse to give me a refund and keep sending my garbage bodysuits. I shop online a ton, and have many other bodysuits, never have I encountered such a low quality product or horrible customere service policies.
I order a couple dresses online they came within 3 days and they are the best purchase I've ever made. I did return one because it was too small. I send it back and got my money back 3 days later after they had received the dress.

This is my first time purchaser story: I had a wedding on Friday June 2 and placed my order on Friday May 26. Two days before the wedding I receive an email in mid-afternoon saying that my dress was out of stock. Which put me in the worse situation since I had to buy a new dress last minute not even mention I had to buy new accessories as well in one afternoon! Triple the costs and triple the stress!
Up to now I still haven't received my dress or my refund and it's been 11days. I wish this experience to NO ONE and this is why I am posting this here. Hope it will help some first users.
I ordered the Mimi green dress as a small. I emailed sales and asked for a tracking number and they replied within the hour. I received the dress tried it on and it was too small. Bc I had read the other reviews, I was scared it was going to be an issue getting a new size. It wasn't at all. I sent it back and emailed them again asking them to send it as soon as they could as I had an event this evening. They replied and said that they would do all they could. I recieved the dress yesterday and it fit perfectly. Just like the picture. I was very impressed with the customer service and the dress. I did order the orange dress too with the stripe down the middle that was the same size as the green one that fits perfect. It was really big in the bust area and I am a full C. If you order that dress I would go down a size.
I bought a jacket for my Gf, she loved and i didn't have any issues at all. I bought online and get the jacket next day!
Terrible customer service in store & online. Images on site are terribly deceiving and the prices are not matched with quality. Don't waste your money!
If I could give this company a zero I would.
I ordered 2 x jumpsuits in different sizes - pretty pricey at £129 each. I paid £5.99 for these to be delivered. They arrived, creased with legs so long you would have to be 7ft tall for them not to drag on the floor or you'd have to have them tailored. The body was so short it would cause injuries to your nether regions. At this point I realised they don't offer free returns so paid for a courier to return the items back.
Several days later I received an email saying my return had been processed - great, end of that... No. I check my bank account and they have short changed me £6 on the cost of the items returned. I obviously didn't expect delivery charges to be credited but to then not receive the full amount of the items!
When emailing them to ask them why I was refunded £6 short they tried to say it was to cover delivery costs! Delivery costs I've already paid... they then tried saying it was a special fee... I've never heard such BS in all my life! House of CB deal have zero customer services & are not open to discussing that fact they've short changed you!
I will be reporting them to consumer rights & seeking a refund through my bank.
I read the awful reviews of some costumers receiving awful dresses on this website so i decided to go to the store myself and check out what I like. As soon as i walked in with my friend, all the women turned and stared. They didn't even greet us. My friend and i felt really uncomfortable but i still decided to try on a dress. I didn't like how it looked so i put it back to its place. As we were walking out of the store one of the women said where the dress had gone and was really serious about it. I looked at her nicely and told her i put it back in its place. I felt really discriminated and unwelcome. We are all equal and we shouldn't see other people less especially if your the employ and not the owner.
I never write reviews but I felt like I needed to for this company.
I originally received a two piece set of clothing as a birthday present, before I had even had the chance to try on the outfit I noticed fake tan marks on the inside of the top part of the garment. Ofcourse I sent it back, I then had to contact them to see if they had received my item only to be told that they received it three days prior to my email.
After a lengthy 3 weeks of going back and forth on emails, nothing had been sorted out, mainly due to every email I got in response was from a different person and each one was just as clueless as the next.
I decided to call up one of their shops to see if they could offer any advice, only to be told by the woman that it 'wasn't her problem'. When I told the customer service team about this they brushed it off as if it was nothing.
I work for a clothing company and we wouldn't dream of dealing with our customers the way they deal with theirs.
I will never be ordering from this company again.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. After wearing the dress for an hour it came open in exactly the same place on both sides and all the sequins started to come off. Paid £12 to return the dress but was told it was being sent back to me as it had been plucked. NO IT HADN'T, it was due to the poor quality! Fraudsters that need prosecuting for ignoring trading standards.
I bought 3 dresses on sale from this company. Two didn't fit and returned it for exchange but they sent me an email saying they cannot refund me or exchange the dresses for me! That they will send back the dresses to me as it's stated on their website that 3 for £120 dresses are non refundable and non exchangeable. I am going to take them up. Avoid this company! They are fraudsters!
Daughter purchased a dress for a dance. After wearing for only one hour the zip burst at the back leaving her embarrassed in front of a whole room and me having to take her another dress to the venue. Returned. At my own expense I may add to be told no refund as zip faulty due to WEAR AND TEAR! Seriously?! Still pinging emails back and forth fighting this. Would never shop here again and would tell anyone to avoid
This company is awful when it comes to returns. I returned something when it was Celeb Boutique back in 2013 and never got a refund. I figured since then, they MUST have gotten their act together but alas, nope!
I returned something two weeks ago and their website says refunds would be processed within 3 days. Customer service has only gotten back to me once asking me for return tracking and hasn't responded since.
I just received my dress today and I am so happy. It came in a nice package and it fits me perfect! It's whatever l was looking for a nice dress to wear for the formal night of my cruise this winter. I can't be happier. The quality is amazing! I am very picky person and I don't like to write reviews but I am very satisfied with the service so I hope this can be helpful to you. I would suggest don't remove the tags before any exchange.
The customer service is horrible! They have no room for flexibility and are rigid with what they believe is right. I have never seen this type of service. The dresses/clothing aren't great either! Be careful before you invest your money in it.
No refunds, no faulty goods acceptance, customer services only communicate via email, answers are useless and will dismiss you if you want your meant back, no phone number at all, company registered in Hong Kong. I am waiting to hear from consumer ombudsman as this British consumer robbery has to be stopped.
Based on such terrible negative reviews, I won't be ordering the dresses I had in my cart. Seems like it's just not worth the risk?
