This company is a joke. Doesn't show currency and assumes everything is in USD. Only to find out after the fact in the booking confirmation. Wasted 30 minutes of my time to offer my Hot Wire bucks in exchange for currency. Called my credit card company to cancel the booking. The hard way.
We booked for 2 queen beds when we got to holed we got 1 king bed and a twin pullout according to customs service when you book a hot deal beds are not guaranteed so you pay less for a room but then you can't fit your family in it, talked to customers service and manager the worst experience ever they basically told me they couldn't do anything about it because of the hot rate deal, I will never use Hotwire for any travel accommodation they are rude and the advertising is false and they don't care
I was lured in by an electric "deal of the day" that promised a 4-star Hotel at a 52% discount making it about $140 savings...
Once I booked, Not only was it not the one that the site strongly implied that it would be oh, but it was a much lesser 3 star hotel at approximately the exact same price as it goes on the Hotel website. It's already paid and apparently non-refundable.
I have attached a copy the proof of what I actually got, what I was promised is conveniently no longer available for me to view.

BEWARE! Arrived at Ontario Airport, took shuttle to car rentals, Economy is not located at the actual airport. Tried calling them and couldn't get anyone, after reaching out to hotwire and three different people they finally reached someone on the phone after over an hour of waiting. Finally had to rent from a company there at the airport as I was already an hour and a half behind, was trying to get to the hospital to see my father. I can't tell you how awful the customer service of both agencies, hotwire and economy were. Having to have my credit card fight these charges as they are sticking with their no cancellation policy, even though I could not get the service I paid for. I paid for a car rental at the Ontario airport, I waited over an hour and a half, It wasted my entire day of phone calls between all agencies trying to get my refund which never happened. They are just awful, awful, awful! Never experienced this before. Not worth the few dollars you may save.
They are horrible for business DO NOT BOOK. We waited 3 hours for our rental and still didnt get it. I got refunded after I flipped out on missing half my trip. NEVER EVER BOOK WITH THEM
First experience, they allowed me to book at a location that was closed. They blamed me telling I'm not at the correct locating. After over an hour and an additional 100 dollars charged, they allowed me to switch to a new location. Second experience, I booked a convertible because weather was predicted to be warm but now it's very cold. Asked them to cancel that so I could Rebook a normal car. Was denied even though the policy states "cancel anytime" this is a bait and switch company that screws up your reservations and blames you but keeps yours money. Buyer beware!
I ordered from hotwire. The car I recieved was terrible ALAMO the car place gave me back a hundred dollars but it had to be processed through hotwire. They processed the money the day of the third of december! According to the Alamo. But hotwire refuses to give it to me. Going as far as saying I lied when I have proof that I was supposed to be getting 100$ back.
I rented a car from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach. I prepaid for this Car. When I received by confirmation it was for a car rental out of Miami with a return to Miami. This was not what was on the booking before confirmation. I immediately called and was told that they would do nothing for. Seems insane they would lose a valuable customer over a $30 car rental have used them for years but will never use them again. Very short sighted on their part.

I have utilized hotwire to book vacations for many years and overall been pleased with the service. I recently booked a car rental but within 24 hours needed to adjust the date, so I reached out to customer service and was the absolute worst experience. The reps were not helpful at all. I called and also used the messaging app, but my concerns are still not addressed. This was by far the worst customer service experience and I recommend finding another provider. Staff is unprofessional, non-responsive, and I will not be using hotwire services in the future based off this experience.
I booked a hotel that clearly specified there was free cancellation! I called less than 24 hours later and they said it was non refundable. I told them I had a screenshot of the policy and that the same exact deal was still online (same price, refundable) and they refused giving the same response that had no logic even after speaking to the supervisor. The hotel even said it was fine with them but Hotwire has to accept. See screenshot below how clear this cancellation policy is

Beware the "mystery bargains"
Beware the "mystery bargains" (where you get a "deal" but don't know who the service provider is). I had the misfortune of getting Ace Car Rental at LAX, where I was fraudulently billed for add on insurance that I specifically declined. In reading the Ace reviews (after I was locked into using them) I found that this is a common practice. Why would Hotwire use them knowing that? I'm now in the position of having to report the fraud and to correct it - my "bargain" has cost me far more than using a reputable company would have. No more Hotwire or Ace for me
I booked a car rental and cancelled it per their policy. I was told I would receive a refund within 10 days. One month later I called because I have not received the funds and was told that I never cancelled and would not receive the money. Bunch of lying crooks.
They were providing a very wrong distance from my hotel search location.
I called them to cancel the reservation.
They wanted to keep 40USD to cancel it as a cancelation fee.

Awful policy any other rental are ok changing the dates of reservation as plans change but they don't care. Not the best place to plan your stuff with as we all know plans always change as we human and life happens
Do not use Hotwire for a car. Showed up to pick up my car and someone stole my wallet. No drivers licence so I could not use my friend could not use his licence to book it. Out $300 and they did not give a $#*!. Asked if I could get my license sent to Florida the next day since it was a 5 day rental. They said no. Great way to start off your vacation. Do not use Hotwire they do no care about customer service.
I booked a car for 5 days through Hotwire. For unlimited mileage. When I arrived to the counter to pick up the car, they told me you can only drive up 92 miles a week anytime more than that you will be charged for 40 cent / mile. Then I called back hotel wife customer services. I explaining to them that you never told me this policy while I was booking with you. Their response was it's their policy and we don't refund money. They are very much a fraud and punish of scam bags... I do not recommend using Hotwire

Answer: Phone the hotel to confirm your booking at the rate you paid. Make sure you get the name of the person you talk to and maybe have him send you an E Mail confirmation.

Answer: No. I didn't see Richards Hotel on the list. Having said that I've never been to Richard's Hotel it could be great. They just don't show it as one of them. Be kind to yourself read the reviews and stay away
