Went online to look for yearly coupons. None unless you spend a 100 dollars. Went to their Huntsville store and asked for the smallest ham. It was 7.3 pounds and cost a whopping 88 dollars. Paid and then my wife asked about coupons. They had one for 7 dollars off but didn't honor it because we just paid. This came from the so called manager. I have a high income but won't return because of the price gouging. Not worth it. A poor value. The hand taste good but are unhealthy and severely overpriced. The stores want to overcharge as a fair profit isn't good enough.

This company has literally denied my mother what may be her last Thanksgiving meal and they don't care. My mother is battling cancer. Thanksgiving Day is also her 74th Birthday. With her cancer it may be her last Thanksgiving. I ordered a full honey baked ham meal with sides and desserts to be shipped as she is not well enough to cook. A portion of the ordered arrived. A cake and a few of the sides. I called "customer service" and was told there was nothing they could do. Even with a store 20 minutes away, they could not figure out a way to get a ham on a dying woman's table for Thanksgiving. Despicable. Honey Baked has been a part of our family's holidays for decades. NEVER again will I give a dime to such a heartless company.

Nov 26, 2025

Visited the Honey Baked Ham at Southridge in South Charleston WV for the first time in about three years. I ordered the meal and was very disappointed considering the price. The Tavern Club was great. I ordered it with Swiss instead of Cheddar but, that was the only thing that was good. It use to be when you ordered a meal it came in a box with your sandwich, side, a pickle, and a cookie. Apparently you no longer get the pickle and cookie. The Tavern Club was really good but the potato salad was bland and tasteless, no seasoning of any kind, not even salt. They were very limited on choice of soft drinks also. Considering I paid $16 and change for this thing the value of the meal is just not worth the price for a sandwich with a couple slices of meat with tomato and lettuce. I more than likely will not be back.

No Glaze & oversmoked
December 8, 2020

They use to be good, but this year and last year were a complete disappointment. There was no honey glaze on it at all which was their signature topping, now it's just an over smoked ham. I will say it was tender the first time we slice some off and heated it as instructed, but for the price I could have picked up 2 ham's from Ralphs that would have been better, even have a little extra money for other things. It may be because this was out of the Ventura business, not really sure but we will not be ordering again from them. My wife emailed them letting them know and they never responded at all, horrible customer service to top it off. Sorry not sorry, I work hard for my money and it will not be going to them next time.

Ordered November 9th and still not here, No words!
December 7, 2020

If I could do a -0 I would have!
I have been buying the smoked meal for the last 7 years this year I ordered it plus finally got the ribs.$426.59 I actually ordered it online on November 9th to be delivered on November 25th. The 25th came usually get an email saying out for delivery didn't receive it so I contacted honey baked ham. I was on hold for 3 and 1/2 hours I was number 136 person in line finally got to somebody and a gal had told me I had ordered on the main website for honeybakeham co. Which the Hub is out of Georgia not California and that California website was actually Shophoneybaked.com I told her I order online same way for last 7 years. Anywho I had to called Georgia was on hold for another hour and a half so gentlemen told me they didn't have any system, that the girl gave me the wrong information and I need to call California back. So I called my MasterCard to see who charged $426.59 to my card. It said Georgia Honey Baked Ham is what my Mastercard, the lady I spoke to told me HB CA CP 333 Web. So called back Georgia on hold again for another 1hr for a gentleman told me that they're running behind and if I don't get it by 9 p. M fedex. To call back and they will trace it obviously it didn't come I called back and lo and behold the office was closed for the holiday. At 5:30 in the morning my husband and I went to the grocery store to buy a turkey and try to salvage Thanksgiving for my family. Today is December 7th and still waiting on my refund. I had already put a dispute with my MasterCard to get my money back $426.59 and I will not buy a honey baked ham from either one of their websites now. No apology no email from them. Nothing just left it in the Wind blowing and the icing on the cake is my older sister bought a Honey Baked Ham on Monday the week before Thanksgiving and got it the day before Thanksgiving and only spent $60 that's the real kicker. I would like to know if anybody else has run into this welcome to 2020 from hell! Can't be over soon enough.

Honey baked hams changed.
December 4, 2020

We purchase a honey baked ham several times a year. Also buy turkey breast, ham bones, soup mix, side dishes, different spreads for sandwiches, etc.
Picked up a large boneless ham mid November from your Sarasota store. We were not allowed to see the ham (due to Covid?) and was really disappointed when we got home and opened it. There was NO crunchy sugar coating, the ham was dry AND the meat was grisly. The worst ham we have had in over 40 years of buying HBH. This was after another HBH quality disappointment earlier this year.
Unfortunately the quality of your product has deteriorated significantly in last couple years, which is very sad.
We loved your products for many years and were willing to pay your premium prices because they were high end and made us happy. No more.

Pembroke Pines, General Manager, Mrs. Irrelevant
December 2, 2020

The General Manager at the Pembroke Pines location was extremely rude and unprofessional to me on Wednesday, November 25,2020. I am well aware that the staff was extremely tired due to the high demand for Hams, Turkeys, etc. However after standing in line for over 30 minutes that night, I observed Mrs. Irrelevant allow a certain amount of customers to proceed towards the store and informed the last 10-12 customers whom were all in line before closing that if we did not have a reservation, we would not be able to make a purchase. When I asked to speak to the Manager, she advised me that she was the General Manager. When I asked for her name, she stated twice "IRRELEVANT" I have been a customer at this location for many years and have never been disrespected, or humiliated. If this behavior is allowed by the General Manager I could only imagine how the front line staff conducts themselves. You are supposed to lead by example.

My family has loved Honey Baked Ham at the holidays for decades. We'd always just pick it up at the store. For the past couple of years, I bought hams to send to family that could not join us in person, and had a few issues, but because the ham is so good I kept buying it. NO MORE~ because of the pandemic we could not get together this year, so I spent hundreds of dollars to send nice meals to my family members. I ordered these on Nov 11 TO BE DELIVERED ON NOV 24TH! This, at the recommendation of the rep. Well- my daughter got HER Thanksgiving meal on the Friday AFTER Thanksgiving (I don't know WHAT she served to guests!). No styrofoam box packing- just leaking bags! Seriously. Every bag was leaking and the product was warm (delivered by a sub-contractor of the shipping company, no less). I told her to throw it all out and not risk food poisoning. The order to my son is totally lost. (##@$%@%$%@!) Worst in a way is that I called to check on my order the day before Thanksgiving and was told "You are Customer 110 in queue - your estimated wait time is 600 minutes" (!)

Worst Thanksgiving Meal EVER! North Carolina
November 30, 2020

I ordered a ham with three sides for my Thanksgiving dinner and I found the sides to be the worst that I have ever seen. I was so excited that I wouldn't have to cook this Thanksgiving and I was totally embarrassed when I tasted of each of the sides. The ham was good as always but as always overpriced, but I can deal with that if it is good, but I will never make the mistake of purchasing sides to go with my ham again. Thank goodness I had a gift certificate and didn't have to pay the entire amount. I would have really been upset if I had paid the total amount. Over and done with Honeybaked.

Worst Thanksgiving EVER! Tulsa, OK
November 30, 2020

On 25-Nov-2020, we drove over a hundred miles to the Tulsa, OK location and spent $197.00, for two hams and a couple sides, sides were ok at best. Ham was dry the texture was like chewing on paper, gristle and fat was the main product of the ham. Family we had over took just a couple bites of the ham and some even spit it out into their napkins. Trusted Honey Baked Ham of Tulsa for our 2020 Thanksgiving Dinner because we have had such GREAT SUCCESS with other locations in the past. This was a total con job, they stole the cost of the meat at least. They ruined our family Thanksgiving, then there was no way of fixing it as everyone was visiting on a short time schedule. Tried calling the store and customer service, received message to leave number and we would receive call back. Never Happened. Oh yea, the clerk said the receipt was in the bag with the frozen sides, guess what there: No Receipt, thank the Lord above I have proof of the purchase because I paid by Visa.

Zero customer service. Thanksgiving dinner arrived late.
November 30, 2020

I've been a customer of Honeybaked for the better part of the last 15 years. This is the first time the delivery was late, and it arrived the day after Thanksgiving, rather than 11/25, the day before Thanksgiving, as was promised. This was not UPS's fault -- it wasn't even shipped out until 11/25.

I tried calling when I realized that the order was shipped late, and apparently I was number 182 in the queue, and it would be a "600 minute" wait. Not a typo, that's six hundred minutes. I sent emails, but I have received no response to date.

Come Thanksgiving morning, my husband and I were scrambling to put together a different meal. The day after Thanksgiving, we finally received the ham and sides. Okay, so we have Thanksgiving dinner again on Saturday, right? Everything was too salty.

We are disappointed in so many ways. They need to ship on time, especially when they upcharge for providing perishables during a holiday week. They need to respond to emails and/or get enough people to pick up the phone on what should be one of their busiest weeks of the year. We could have had a lovely Thanksgiving for our small family, but it was a disaster thanks to Honeybaked.

Ruined Thanksgiving
November 29, 2020

We followed the guidelines and had a Thanksgiving with just the four of our immediate family. Ordered a Cajun seasoned turkey from Honeybaked. Thawed in the fridge for 3 days, and warmed it for 1.5 hours as directed. It was the worst turkey we have ever had. The Cajun seasoning was just globed up on the outside of the turkey. It tasted old and didn't seem to be seasoned at all. The breast were dry even though I loosely covered it with foil as directed. We ate at it Thanksgiving day. I put half in the freezer which we will probably toss out. We were really looking forward to it being a great turkey dinner. Will never buy a Turkey there again.

Not worth the money

$62 for a dry, rubbery, tasteless ham. Very disappointing, either their quality control has failed or they've just stop trying post Covid. Definitely off my future list of holiday food choices.

SALTY!
November 27, 2020

Is it me or is there ham and turkey way too salty? Last minute decison to buy instead of cooking. I was cook all my meats but this year COVID changed our plans and I needed meat at last minute. The ham and turkey breast were so salty you couldn't eat more than one piece. I spent alot of money on meat to put in freezer to use in soups or jambalaya because of salt content. Best part of Thanksgiving were the side I made. Lesson learned. Never again!

Gave a ham bone instead of while ham
November 26, 2020

This review has to be the most bizarre. I pre-ordered a bone-in ham a week ago. Went to pick it up today (the line was wrapped around the store given it's the day before Thanksgiving) only to be given a HAM BONE. Showed the guy my order confirmation. I should have checked to make sure I had what I ordered before leaving the store, but I didn't. I expected it to be right given it is the holidays and you'd think they would be more careful. Total waste of time and money. I ended up just cooking my own ham. Please train your employees to be more mindful and take pride in what they do. No one likes laziness. People like this will cause HBH to go out of business. Never buying from this company again. This is the HBH in Gretna, Louisiana off of Terry Parkway.

Great customer service!
November 26, 2020

Screaming thank you to Ali from #HoneybakedHam on Cherry Hill in Canton with eternal gratitude! I was initially supposed to work tomorrow and given the rise in Covid numbers, we weren't going to see our kids or extended family and just do our own thing so decided to order a to-go meal for two that we had scheduled to pick up today. Well, fast forward to a week or so later and Bob and I both tested positive for Covid (at the beginning of last week). Bob called Ali and let him know we couldn't come into the store but inquired about a contactless curbside pickup but Ali would not allow that. He said no one should go without a Thanksgiving meal and said he would personally deliver it (even though they don't have delivery) after work today. Well, he just dropped it off and not only did he deliver it out of the goodness in his heart, but he wouldn't accept payment! I am bawling my eyes out right now! I've been really emotional the last couple days, probably just super fatigued, and this pretty much sent me over the edge. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ali! You've restored a little of my faith! We WILL be paying it forward when we're better!

Honey Baked Ham off of I-45 Houston
November 25, 2020

If you can avoid, do not go to this location. It is unorganized, the employees have no clue what they are doing. They say one thing and then when you do that, they say another or they say I must've misunderstood you. They advertise like you can schedule a pickup however you still have to stand on a long line like everyone else. Employees are rude. This is my first and last time going to this location so if you can avoid this location then please do. Go to another location.

NO DELIVERY, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
November 24, 2020

Ordered a ham to be delivered from Honey Baked
Ordered a ham to be delivered to a friend and some side dishes to be delivered to a family member. According to the Honey Baked Ham website ON TRAC was doing the delivery and failed to deliver the ham to my friend who resides 30 minutes from the distribution warehouse for ON TRAC which is where the ham was being transported from to my friend according to ON TRAC. The first delivery date was November 19,2020 and according to ON TRAC, the ham had been received at their facility IN STOCKTON on November 19,2020. At about 6:00 p.m. on November 19,2020 received e-mail stating the delivery was being delayed to November 20,2020 due to transportation issue. Again on November 20,2020, at about 6:00 p.m. received yet another e-mail that the delivery was being delayed now until November 21,2020. On November 21,2020, at about 6:00 p.m. received another e-mail that the delivery was being delayed until November 23,2020. On November 23,2020, received another e-mail that the delivery was AGAIN being delayed. Call HoneyBaked Hams and was not offered ANY resolution except that I could DRIVE to the nearest store and buy a ham. Called On Trac and was advised to contact HoneyBaked. Can't believe I paid for this kind of abuse and totally incompetent customer service.

Another disappointment
November 24, 2020

Their food is always delicious, in my families opinion. Let me rephrase it. My whole family loves the bone in hams! It's expensive! With our schedules, it helps out greatly with holidays. Always pleasant staff. Here's my 3 star reasonings. And I don't think 3 stars is low enough for these reasons. 1.2 years ago, I ordered large order, on their website, weeks before thanksgiving. I ordered, paid and they would be shipped 2-3 days before thanksgiving... they never came. So I called on third day, second day, & day before thanksgiving. Every time being told... they are on truck and enroute and I would have them by 8p Wednesday at the latest. I'm talking 5-6 hams and 5-6 turkeys. I own elderly home care business and some of the order was for my family and my employees made thanksgiving dinner for the clients they were taking care of. So 8p comes and goes. Store would not stay open just 6 min later for me to drive from Wilmington Ohio to Cincinnati area. By time of closing store, I would literally be about 5-6 minutes late, if I left asap. They refused... so we all had fried and baked chicken for thanksgiving. Couple weeks later, after demanding refund... I received email that I had 50.00 coupon towards next purchase bc the hams and turkeys meant for thanksgiving, had been sat on my porch by delivery person. 2. I ordered online again. But I preordered and paid and scheduled a in store pickup today! 2 large spiral hams, two packages of rolls, gravy, cranberry walnut chutney and 2 turkeys! One roasted and the other Cajun! I get there at right time scheduled. Go in, wait to be called up to prepaid line. After 4 people. It was my turn to go to counter. They scan my barcode and proof of paid in full confirmation number., they disperse, bringing hams, rolls, gravy, chutney! Then tell me that all stores were shorted on getting turkeys. Sooooo, they did not have my 2 prepaid order TURKEYS! And were sure they would not be getting any in before thanksgiving! I think it's time to start looking for different ham stores and be done with honey baked stores! It's devastating to patrons when we have a ruined thanksgiving dinner... but to this company... it doesn't seem to be a big deal. They say. Sorry for the mixup and have a nice day! Sad I can't add a photo of turkeys. Because. I DIDNT get them! I paid 300.$ for my online order. Still cost me 165$ after turkeys price taken off

Over pricing hams
November 23, 2020

They force you to buy the expensive ham and you tell them to get you a lower ham and they say they don't have any. This is the only way they can stay in business. Customers please stop shopping at honey bake ham.We in a pandemic and they care nothing the customers. When i got upset then the lady went and got a cheaper ham. One employee told me they train them to lie and sell the most expensive hams first. I will be getting my hams from walmart cause I refuse to pay 73.00 dollars for a ham.

Thanksgiving Order Not Delivered!
November 23, 2020

I ordered a mini ham and turkey online for Thanksgiving 2020. The shipping cost was $18 but I thought it would be convenient to have it delivered instead of driving 25 min one way while waiting in like with my store reservation. The order was supposed to be delivered on Friday, 11/20/2020. I elven got an email from honey baked saying it was shipped 2 days before the delivery date. However when I checked the tracking number it only shows a label was created with UPS on 11/20/2020. This is the day it was supposed to arrive at my house! I called customer service the next morning to see where my order was and they blamed it on ups and said that ups is delivering on Saturday and Sunday and that it may arrive over the weekend. It is now Monday morning and no food! I want my money back. Where is my food? Has it been left out for several days now waiting to be picked up? I have major health safety concerns because we are going on 5 days since the email said it shipped. Never order from here online. Now I am scrambling to figure out what to do for Thanksgiving since this is not reliable.
