First of all, my advice is before signing a contract like with Homestars, always make sure to always look at the reviews because it's a company that promises leads/jobs, reviews, calls, messages but they do not comply with their word. Based on experience, I got out of the contract ASAP and spent almost $3000 and I did not receive a LEAD/JOB EVER. I basically gifted them $3K for nothing. I had to pay the cancellation fee. It was either being stuck paying them monthly for 1 year or paying a huge fine. Ridiculous. I preferred to pay the fine than to stay in the contract with them. They also kept persuading me to stay and keep paying. In the end, it was the best decision to terminate the contract. Homestars is a scam and it's not a serious company.

Businesses beware of this service! You pay them a fee and they put you up n there site… if you have a disagreement with a customer and they post a bad review even if it embellished as long as the customer has proof they communicated with you they will not remove the review! So your screwed!
Trust me your better of your have people review on your Facebook page or Instagram!

Beware homestars is a big scam. It's where cons, scammers pay to advertise. They have no skills, no licences. They are salesman who lost there last jobs. Rich families will pay fee To ad with homestars. Even homestar contractors hire outsiders to have
There home repaired becuz they have no trade skills. Homestars will delete all bad reviews. Most company positive reviews are all fakes, Lies. Checkout the owners of homestars.

Signed up for Homestars after the rep said I should expect 1-3 leads a day and that there were over 2700 leads in 2020, most of them going unanswered. I jumped through all the hoops and got a 90% rating. I paid $200 a month for 5 months and only got 7 leads, none of which even turned into jobs. I brought this up with my rep and they just pointed out that they don't guarantee leads and that I agreed to a year term... total garbage! I do lots of online marketing and this has been one of the worst ones yet.

I signed up with this platform a month ago, very very very poor customer service, when Ineed assistance there is never anyone available and all the leads they send me are not in the area I asked for.

I used Homestars to connect with a company called Maderaworx. I had nothing but problems with this company. It started with a 22 inch shower and ended with no safety bar and no sliding bar just to make the shower 26 inches. When I tried to review Maderaworx, I was unable to do a review in the Homestars page because my review was too negative. Homestars only let's you post factual information no negative. How can you give an honest review if you had a negative experience? Homestars sucks. Do not believe any of the reviews. Some of the companies have been in business for 20 plus years and only a handful of reviewers. I will never take a recommendation from homestars ever again and I will never deal with Maderaworx either.

New gas line to our garage and hookup of new furnace.

We could not be happier with the Professional service, knowledge and efficiency of Scott and his crew.

They were on time and well equipped with all the parts required to finish the job, everything was completed and I had the City of Calgary Inspection permit the same day as the hookup was complete.

I had my neighbor Matt Owad (retired) come over to see the completed job as he had 45 years of employment with ATCO gas formerly CWNG, his job was installing gas lines like ours in residential homes, he stated that the job completed by Scott and his team was one of the best he had ever seen!

We had a very pleasant experience in all aspects of the job completed. I would highly recommend Scott and his team for a Professional job, great turnaround time and a very affordable fair pricing for the job.

I was approached by a sales agent ( Daniel Carreira) from HomeStars not long ago.
He offered us so my valuable options (at that time) for us to register with their programs for contractors offering services for home renovation projects.
We were no positive in moving forward since the terms and conditions where not what we were looking for to get into at that time, we also saw no value at all in the offer. Daniel (Dan) continue calling and still we were absolutely negative in getting into the program.
Daniel used the Management strategy, he put his "Manager" in the speaker ( Tammy Newman). Tammy was aggressive and more recurring into her speech to the point to force me to make decisions at that time.
Even though we were totally against the offer she put on the table for us, Tammy focus was in causing fear threatening us in going to our competitors to offer same things she was offering us as exclusive. She offered a continue source of leads, as far as her statistics they were losing business since they didn't have a contractor like us in the local area so they can drain these leads.
Making all this long story shorter the bottom line is that we made the decision to move forward with them in a testing trial to see how it could go.
After two months we have received only one lead that concluded in NO BUSINESS making this trial a failure trial. No matter what they can do, HomeStar is no willing to pull the necessary traffic in their platform so they can supply the necessary amount of business or leads so we can back up the investment with them.
At this time we have decided to cancel this agreement, but listen to this, listen, AT THIS TIME AND AFTER TWO WEEKS NON CALL, EMAIL, WEBSITE CONTACT FORM OR ANY FORM OF CONTACT HAS BEEN RESPONDED so far. It looks like that these people are simply scammer ghosts that only allow one way contact for sales (outbound calls) and still they keep taking money from your account after you have sent several email asking for cancelling this contract.
NEVER GET IN BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. DO NOT MAKE SUCH AS MISTAKE.

When they are trying to sell their website subscription, they will promise 7 -15 leads a month. Also, they say that you will have an account support specialist which will only contact you when you are late with payments. Also, it's worth mentioning that they will lock you in the contract for one year, and you stuck with them for at least 1 year. In the real world, you will receive 1 or two complete garbage leads which or waste your time or you will not make any money on it.

Waist of money you'll find a cheaper & much better company spent more than $4000 got 1 series lead when I stopped the service the wrote nansty review for a work I didn't do with no details when my score was 97 out of 100. That was on perpes to ruin my score.

Great company, on time and cost as quoted, very knowledgeable and professional people, I highly recommend them. They had to switch the door on the built-in Bosch fridge we got from CAS with it on the wrong side, among other issues. Elite is fantastic and were the bright light in the entire appliance buying fiasco we had been through with CAS. I highly recommend Elite Appliance Service without hesitation.

I was looking into this company for my cleaning business. The rep called me and promised me lots of business. They wanted my credit card even thou it supose to be a free service. When I googled their business I got nothing but negitive comments. When I brought this to rep attention he said and quote " I don't have time to discuss this with you and hung up. Do your research ppl don't use this company scam scam scam scam

I thought when I started my own locksmith business that this would be a good way to drum up business as promised by sales Rep, which by the way are very pushy. I've maybe Recieved 6 leads in 6 months, I am now trying to cancel but I get the run around that either my representative is on holidays or they just never call me back. I feel like they just ignore my request so I keep paying the outrageous monthly bill. If you do manage to cancel you get charged 35 percent of what's left in contract. My advice would be to avoid this app. Like the plague. Not a good experience.

If you are looking for a real tradesperson, why would you look at homestars, their clients have to pay to become members to get reviews, seems kinda skeptical, if youbdont pay homestars their fee, there are no reviews for your company, I have gotten so tired of homestars trying to get me to pay their fee, dontbtrust this service, they only promote companies that pay for them to list it, kind of scammie, don't trust pages like this, check out Google, and do your dd, homestsrs is a paid platform, they don't care about you, only their bottom line, don't be fooled, if a contractor is paying for reviews that should be a red flag

They promis lead generating on this website as the biggest of the sale, why else get homestars? When i have discrepancies with what leads im getting from the site, I was told its my fault for not getting enough reviews, when i have 98% they say 99% might be better lol. I tried to cancel this service, calling, sending emails and blocking my account, they persisted and finally billed me another 400.3 months of junk leads (if any came in) with another 4th month. 1600 dollars in the $#*!ter with these guys. You can get better jobs on kijiji.

When i first started my electrical business i thought it would be a good idea to sign up with homestars. The sales person promised that i would be getting all sorts of work through them and that there was no end to the amount of work they had in the calgary area. Im about 6 months in and i have come to the conclusion that that was all a lie. I probably get 1 lead a month off them and its usually for something really small. I didnt think i was going to have to depend on home stars for work or anything but they are not delivering on what they promised. Avoid this company like the plague!

We are the original owners of our now 18 year old home. When the house was built, Newmar windows were installed. The cranks were no longer working properly on a couple of casement windows. Ray was the service tech that fixed them. He was so pleasant and very willing to share window maintenance tips that he made my day. I would highly recommend Newmar.

This year was so bad! I've been with homestars for three years now as a business owner marketing with them. My account manager was Jessica Lee. First two years were wonderful but this year was garbage. No costumer service. Seems like they were doing the bare minimum with me. Sending me one lead a month for over 100.00$$$ if any knows leads that's really bad. Other websites I can make $5000. 00 off a $15.00 investment. I'm not going back unless I get a better manager and even then I'm very skeptical. I have spent over $700.00 this year $130.00 a month one year contract and I'm stuck in this sh@# show now. I've made $800 off the site and it's summer I should be raining in leads from them but I guess I don't take priority this year. Watch about. Just go by monthly and only in the summer time. Winter leads are rare.

The contractors have no skills, no licences.
No construction skills, no formal apprentice, no schooling. They lost there sales job, years ago, An sign up with homestars scam, to ripoff homeowners in Toronto. The TV ad is all about sales only.
