HomeLight made a decent offer on my parents home and everything was fine until I mentioned that my parents were under contract for their new house so it was all going to work out great. Then, two days before closing they sent out a contractor to see how much it would cost them to "raise the foundation" which had settled since the house was built. Which my parents had already had an engineer look at and report that there was no significance to the settling and that it was causing no structural damage… well the result of their idea ended up that they wanted us to lower the price by over $18,000 less than 24 hours before closing to make the foundation like new again… most people can't afford to carry two mortgages and would have no choice but to accept the new terms and continue with the closing, however my parents are much more fortunate and refused…so HomeLight cancelled the deal…. This is their standard procedure, we were warned of it by my dad's attorney who deals a lot in real estate but we decided to give it a try anyway since we would not have to clean the house or paint it, etc…. But now we see. Do not waste your time with them, it may…no, it WILL cost you in the end. I will say, everyone except the last guy who was only interested in trying to tell us there was a problem with the house, which there isn't. All this when they are already paying about 70% of market value of the home. A quick flip since my dad already paid to have most of the repairs and painting done.

We thoroughly enjoyed our process with HomeLight! The agent referred to us was informative, persistent, and caring! He guided us through the entire process and accommodated our needs when necessary. He was patient and committed to ensuring we were selling our home for the right price! We appreciate him for guiding us and ensuring our home sold in 2-3 weeks! Homelight was extremely helpful to me in my endeavor to sell my home. I am not familiar with the home selling process and was very unsure about my first steps in doing so i. E. who to turn to, how to initiate the process... etc.etc. I saw a Homelight commercial and, while I was reticent to reach out to them simply because of a commercial, I did so and am extremely thankful that I did. I emailed them late that night and that very morning received email and phone correspondence from at least five realtors willing to provide their services for me and to aid me in the process of selling my home. It worked. I sold my home in a little less than a month from the time I reached to Homelight and sold it for much more than I thought I could. I will definitely use Homelight to buy my next home. Homelight is quick to respond, tell you the process, send realtors/investors your way but NOT ONCE DO THEY TELL YOU THEIR RIDICULOUS COMMISSION PRICE! The realtors laid it out about their cost. But homelight doesn't tell you anything about the thousands they are gonna take from you for a 10 minute phone call.

As first time home buyers, my husband and I had many questions and concerns about such a scary process. HomeLight immediately reached out, and was able to put together a customized list of agents and information to start from. The folks from HomeLight were professional and respectful. Once we chose an agent, we still received curtesy calls to insure we were satisfied with our decision. After only four short months my husband and I became homeowners. We are completely satisfied and would recommend using this great source!

I found the Homelight website while searching on line for a realtor. The website was extremely easy to use and almost immediately I was furnished with a list of several realtors to choose from. The information on each of them was clear and concise and I was able to make contact with t to us one that best suited my needs. I was not bombarded with a bunch of unsolicited calls, texts or e-mails I had a great experience as a result of using Homelight. The realtor was extremely professional and accomplished and we made a great connection right from the get go! My house actually sold the same day it was listed and for the price I had asked. I would highly recommend "Homelight" to anyone who wants to sell their house quickly and hassle free.

Homelight website was great! I love that I wasn't overwhelmed with a bunch of options that did not fit me. The site allowed me to see only a few of the best options for me and if I wanted more, a few more at a time would become available. Unlike other sites, I was not bombarded with a bunch of different calls from different people and companies. Instead, I contacted them through the site and then moved forward with the realtor of choice. I love that I was also able to see about the realtor right away and their strengths.

I was using an online home valuation tool, out of curiosity, to see how the results compared with others (zillow, etc). Little did I know - and without my knowledge - they sent my information to several realtors, resulting in a flurry of calls and texts that I did not ask for. BE CAREFUL! The called me SEVERAL times, and didn't even have the courtesy to leave a voice mail. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize, so when I realized the same number was calling me repeatedly (and not leaving messages) I decided to answer. Low and behold, it was HomeLight. After hanging up on them, they proceeded to send my information to several realtors, who began spamming me non stop after that call.

Although HomeLight did not have an investor in my area to purchase my house for cash out right, they did put me in touch instantly with a great realtor. I specified to the realtor that I basically wanted to sell my house as is and as quickly as possible. It took approximately 10 days between my first conversation with the realtor and signing the contract to sell to the buyer! In 10 days, my place was photographed, listed, shown and I received three offers to buy! I had three days of showings in order to have enough buyers to choose from! I was even able to arrange to rent back from the buyer for one month in order to have enough time to find and move to a new place! I am thrilled with my choice to call HomeLight first!

During my search for a listing agent for the sale of my parent's home and the suitable relocation of my sister and brother in-law, I interviewed several agents representing various realty companies, however I did not feel comfortable until my conversation with "Mr. Lee Wasserman / Bergen Basin Realty. Lee was both patient and thorough in defining the two-prong process, the sale of the home and relocation of my relatives. He went over the Comparative Market Analysis in determining the best listing price, Lee coordinated everything efficiently and offered recommendations and referrals to established professionals as some repairs were necessary in preparing the home prior to being placed on the market while at the same time vigilantly searching and finding an apartment for my love ones. The task was slightly unusual in that the home is in a different state than the resident state of my parents and myself, Lee was responsive to all inquiries while always demonstrating courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Nothing but class, A Sincere Thank You "Lee."

This product is garbage. 6000 Lumens and does not reach the ground at 16'. REFUSED To REPLACE. Said we did not order the extended warranty. Do Not Buy from this company. Customer Service refused to put me to a supervisor. Wanted to know why I waited 5 weeks to contact them. Explained that I did not, had called and complained before. Also, I do not arrive at work when it is dark, the factory workers do. I only noticed how poor the light was because I worked extremely late one night. A HD off the rack light is more powerful.

I am not sure how I originally heard about Homelight, but I'm so glad I chose to start my home buying process here. I entered what I was looking for and they matched me up with a few different realtors. Once I received the recommendations I cross-checked the suggestions by doing a little more research and realized Homelight had provided some good realtors to choose from. Before I had a chance to pick from my short list a Realtor from my list contacted me via text. I set up a phone call and that same day I was already reviewing houses on MLS site based on exactly what I was looking for.
My realtor was knowledgeable about the market and area I was looking in. I was able to lean on them for questions and concerns. And they really helped make the buying process as stress-free as could be. They went above and beyond my expectations with every aspect. From meeting with me during the limited time I had available to really knowing exactly how to get everything I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. And they were always available and quick to respond to any questions. If I wanted to see a house they would make it work to get to the house as quickly as possible so I could decide if I wanted to pursue it any further.
Overall I would say start here with Homelight. There are so many realtors out there and Homelight will match you with an expert for whatever suits your needs.

Agent Jim H. Was recommended to us by HomeLight. The guy cares only about securing his listings as many as possible, and someone else to sell for him. After getting our listing, he put the least amount of effort into it, ignored it to the point that he was not even aware that buyer's contingency period had way passed, let alone enforcing it. After that happened, he even lied to us for the reason he did not enforce it. He sad it was because he just received the home inspection report, but he forgot that he had forwarded the report 9 days prior.
The escrow ended up falling through. We asked to get out of his listing agreement. He refused even he signed in the agreement allowing us to get out if there is an agreement. The listing ended up with him for another 3 months and we lost $8,000 in mortgage payment. Imagine how you will fell about that in this hottest sellers's market!

There was great opportunity that our house could be sold for a lot more money, but he did not even care about that. All he hoped was a buyer's agent will bring a buyer to buy the house as it is. We are out of state. We trusted him and gave him the listing. We asked him to do whatever it needed to get it ready for sale for top dollar. He said that is what he would do. But to the contrary, he hardly went to check on the house, he essentially let the house sit there to sell itself. Even when the front yard grass and bushes were brown dry, he did not even notice until the house was almost closed, and asked us to do something about it while we are out of state and it was just a simple matter of increasing the watering time on the sprinkler controller if he really put time on our listing.
