Fantastic
July 26, 2019

We used Homelight to find a realtor for the sale of our home. We were given the names of three quality Realtors. We chose the one that did the most business in our area. We sold our house in 4 days! Very happy we used Homelight to find our realtor.

Homelight was very helpful in the sale of our home. I contacted them about our need to move and they quickly got some agents who promptly got in touch with me. Because of Homelight it eliminated the need of taking hours and days of searching for a realtor and instead brought them to us. The rating on our realtor was high and he got the job done quickly and effectively and really worked with is. Homelight also helped in making sure we found the right realtor and reaching out.
Great experience overall. Will use again!

Home selling
July 26, 2019

I contacted Homelight as I needed to sell a house from out of state. They put me in contact with 3 qualified agents. The one I chose, Ben Kastein of Advantage Realty did an outstanding job of selling my home. He answered my calls quickly, was a great negotiator and a pleasure to work with. I was very pleased!

The realtor that was recommended from Homelight was horrible. She may have been a top selling agent, but she was strictly working in her own best interest. Her business tactics were both legally and morally unethical. I have sold over 20 homes in 6 different states. This is the only experience with a realtor that I can say was a disaster.

I reached out to Homelight on several occasions to provide feedback, and no one responded. This is not good as I do not want anyone to have the horrible experience I had with this realtor.

SUCKS!
June 5, 2019

I have one of the nicest condos for the price in my area. My condo was listed for FOUR months with only one substandard offers. Too bad I have to leave one star, I would have left 0 stars!

This company advertises that they match you with industry leaders, which is a flat out lie. This company is just another lead generation business for agents. The ads they run claim they match buyers and sellers with "top" agents in their area, based on a number of things, like sales volume, sales price, negotiator, etc. When I went on the site looking for a listing agent I plugged my info in and submitted and was given a list of some agents. None of the agents were in my area, had any sales experience in my area and were not even top producing agents in the area MLS at all. None of the agents they "matched" me with were a good fit.

I ended up going with a agent that listed and sold a house down the street. That agent is a local professional who did know my area very well and was not anywhere to be found on Homelight.com.

After some digging I discovered that Homelight is just a lead generation service for agents. Agents sign up with the site, and homelight feeds the agents leads, if/when the agent converts the leads into a sale, the agents pays Homelight for the lead. The agents they push have nothing to do with being "local experts" or "top agents". They're just paying to be listed on the Homelight site.

So in short, if you want a good and knowledgeable agent look for signs in your neighborhood or get references from friends and family for good agents they've worked with that are PROVEN, not from some site that is pimping agents just for paying for the leads.
