Home Depot's reputation is marked by a mix of positive and negative customer experiences. Many customers appreciate the wide selection of products and the knowledgeable staff, which contribute to a convenient shopping experience. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to installation issues, return policies, and delayed deliveries. Customers frequently report dissatisfaction with the handling of complaints and a perceived lack of support, leading to frustration and a sense of being undervalued. Overall, while the company offers a robust product range, its customer service approach appears inconsistent, impacting overall satisfaction.

You can get lost at Homedepot--And spend to much money
I ordered a small fireplace heater! Well it stopped heating! Took it back! And they exchanged it! No questions asked! Very nice to deal with company's that stand behind there products!
I purchased flooring from Home Depot in August of 2015, that was supposed to have a one year guarantee. In November, the floor started to lift and bubble.
I called Home Depot and they sent someone to look at the floor. The person who came to my home told me 9 tiles were lifting. Home Depot told me the floor was discontinued and therefore they could do nothing about it. I called the Home office in Atlanta, and they said, Sorry we don't have any more of that floor. An employee of Home Depot told me they had so many complaints about the floor that they discontinued it. He also told me Home Depot sells flooring under a name that is really their brand. The floor was LissineTravertine. The Home Depot employee told me they get complaints all the time, and they have over 300 bad reviews on Google, but Home Depot does not care. I would also check the sub contractor who installs their floors. I have filed a complaint with Dept of Consumer Protection and the Fed Trade Comm.
Visit a store you can find a product you want but search by Internet is so difficult to search the product which you are looking for.
I have made a wrong order in wrong size.
Customer care does not reach the international level.
I always find what I am looking for there! Never been let down!
In comparing the big chain hardware stores in our town, HomeDepo earns 5 stars from me. Our local stores has nice people and almost all the time if I'm walking around and a store clerk sees me they stop and ask if they can help - that's good. I like the way the store is played out and prices are fair. The lumber dept seems to always have the DIY lumber I need for many projects. Now with all that said, it is not perfect, but still deserves the high rating because no one is perfect or no store is perfect.
Always have exactly what we need and the emplyees are well trained and very friendly
Love this store it meets every need not just for your home but every thing you need garden spring cleaning and a lots more love to just browse around and shop customer service is awesome many kudos to HomeDepot
Ordered some gardenining supplies online with home depot. They really should know a lot better when it comes to these things. They shipped out the wrong products. I take it back to the store to return and they said that'll get me the correct item. 30 minutes later these geniuses can 't even find the item...
Take your business somewhere else
Every time I go back to you guys it's for price but I pay for it with the terrible quality. My ceiling fan I purchased was awful.
I placed a small order for 2 rolls of flat metal strips. My husband calls them plumbers tape/straps. They shipped us only one yet charged us for both. What a nightmare trying to get it resolved. When speaking with them you are connected to some call center in another country. SHAME on HD for not keeping jobs in the USA... after all we are the country that supports them. Anyways it was just a horrible experience, not help from HD, could hardly understand most of what they were saying. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card. In the future if I ever need anything from them I will walk in.
Great way to cost out a project in addition to the shop-at-home convenience.
Love this store and prices. Has a lot of things that are also at Lowes but HomeDepot has so much better service.
Good store inside and online for DIY projects and supplies. They send coupons and text deals regularly.
Their stores are huge, so I recommend you find someone with an orange apron right away and ask him or her to walk you to the product you're looking for. Once you're there, it'll probably be there too. I mean, the stores are working warehouses. And since their buyers buy in BULK, they pass the savings on to you.
I know people who saved thousands on their kitchen design and cabinets over boutique kitchen designers.
Lowe's is simply better: friendlier customer attention, support and great prices and products. HomeDepot is simply not what it once was.
We have ordered tarps twice from here. The price is about half anyone else's. These are medium weight tarps but in reality they are quite strong. Anyway it was without a doubt the cheapest way to get them when we selected store pickup. But check your order at the store because they gave my husband someone else's order. When he got to the car I recognized the box was entirely too large. I went back in and they exchanged for the correct item.
Purchased a dryer with buyer protection plan, a few months after purchase it broke down and it's been 3 months I still have no dryer and 2 children with ruined clothing. Horrible slow service.
I used to have good esperince with Homedepot but looks like last couple of years they change the way they used to make business. I have used over 6-7 Homedepot stores and in 3 different cities... Lately my feelings changed towards Homedepot. I try to use Homedepot as little as possible... They have lost at least $70-80K business, from me this year alone.
Makes menards look like a walmart.
Homedepot always carries top tier wood and supplies..
Answer: Hi Betty, you can also return without receipt if you purchased using your credit card. Give them the same CC and they can tell the price you bought at.
