ZERO Stars -- STAY AWAY

I just installed a set of Home Decorator cabinets in a flip and they are arguably the WORST cabinets I have ever seen. They were a nightmare to assemble AND the boxes are birch plywood... not bad... except they are not stained or painted to match the doors selected. So, I have white foil wrapped doors and BROWN cabinet exteriors. I had to buy multiple end panels at Home Depot to cover all the exposed pieces and then recalculate all my measurements to add in the end panels. DISGRACEFUL. Home Depot should DUMP this supplier!

I am still waiting for my bedroom set that I ordered and it was shipped with Cagney... My product has been sitting in CA for 12 days... and every time that I can and check the status... I am being told that they lost the delivery carrier but they just found a new one... This has happened 3 times now. And I am still waiting for my furniture.

I will never buy any from them until they find a more reliable carrier.

They ripped me off!

I ordered a book case and matching cabinet. One item came and the other one said it was scheduled to be shipped 3 months later. My living room has been waiting with a big blank spot on the other side of my fireplace all this time only to find out months later that the other cabinet was cancelled! I'm furious! I got stuck paying for a bookcase that doesn't work without the matching one on the other side! Martha Stewart sucks too because she sells her stuff through this rotten company!

I ordered RTA kitchen cabinets from Home Decorators for a kitchen remodel. Having read the negative reviews about Home Decorators I was hesitant to make the order, but the cabinets seemed to be what I wanted and at an excellent price. I decided to call their customer service number and chat. I was pleased with their quick answering of my call and I got a positive vibe from the rep I spoke with. She spent time talking with me and answered all my questions efficiently. I decided to place the order. The cabinets arrived within 10 days, as promised. Home Decorators says you have 72 hrs. To check the items and report any damage. It was near Christmas, so I told them I might not be able to do this in 72 hrs. It was no problem, they allowed me more time. After checking all 18 cabinets and 7 finish panels as well as all the toe kicks and fillers I did have to report some damage to several pieces. Keep in mind that each cabinet comes in about 7 or 8 pieces and more if it has drawers. Home Decorators could not have been more accommodating. They asked me to send pictures of the damages, which I did. I sent this late on a Sunday night and on Monday I received an email saying they were processing my replacement pieces. The replacements arrived in a very short time. They did not simply replace pieces... they replaced entire cabinets! They even did me a favor by supplying replacement doors for a cabinet we had to modify for an apron sink, What better service could you possibly ask for?! All of the communication I received was very speedy and more than cordial. My husband and I assembled all the cabinets and it was very easy to do so. The cabinets are now installed and I am extremely pleased with the quality, especially considering the price and the excellent service I received. I have seen the negative reviews here, but my experience was totally positive. I would not for one moment hesitate to do business with Home Decorators again.

I ordered a multi drawer dresser for about $500 using a coupon from home decorators website after browsing the catalog sent to my home. When it arrived and saw it in person, I realized the mistake I had made. The wood was a cheap softwood and the drawers opened and closed on wooden slots - no drawer glides, cheap butt joints. The drawer faces almost all broke off from operating the drawers occasionally. I ended up calling customer service and they sent new drawer fronts which I appreciated but those all broke in less than a year with No rough housing or kids playing with them. I receive 20% off coupons all the time to return as a customer but feel so ripped off by the poor quality of my purchase that I feel that I probably would never test those waters again. The dresser did not last more than two years which is completely unacceptable. Ikea throw away furniture has lasted longer than this did. Total disappointment.

I placed an order for fully assembled custom cabinets. The design process was super easy and the design rep was super nice. However, once I raised an issue about the order, no one was willing to help. I received my order and I knew I would have to mount the shelves to the wall, so paid someone to do this for me. My order did not come with the handles for the drawers and predrilled holes were not made for the handles. I requested the handles to be sent to me and they were, however I was stuck paying someone to install the handles for me or buy the tools to do so myself. Both of these options were going to cost me money that I did not plan to spend because I was purchasing a fully assembled item. When I reached out to customer service for assistance they were no help at all. They basically wanted to talk over me then tell me they were going to disconnect the call. She told me they do not assemble the handles because they do not know where the customer wants them (probably on the drawers... right?), she also told me that I did not have the option to return them because I did not pay for them and there was nothing to return, however; my design clearly indicates the handle on the design and invoice which is included in the price. This means they should have been assembled and should have been included with the original shipment. The really upsetting thing was that they did not care that I was not happy with my order and did nothing to help me find a resolution for this. Their resolution was to simply tell me they do not give refunds or make price adjustments. After 30 minutes of speaking to the lead rep Chelsea, the conversation was going no where. She was very rude to me and would not let me talk at any point. She made the situation worse by talking down to me and when I made the request to speak someone else about her behavior she refused. Chelsea is the worse customer service rep I have ever dealt with. I called Home Depot directly to complain and their customer service reps were absolutely understanding, patient and helpful. They ended up calling Home Decorators as well and got the same treatment from Chelsea that I did. Basically they have 4 reps and Chelsea is the lead so you do not get any help at all. The Home Depot reps did credit me back 10% of my purchase price and were very accommodating and even went out of their way to send the vendor contact an email about my experience with Chelsea and their experience with this horrible person. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I will not be recommending them and I will be telling everyone I know how horrible Chelsea treated me. I hope Home Depot cuts off all ties with this company and I hope Chelsea gets some additional training on customer service.

No items ever arrived

I have ordered twice from this company and I never received either item. First was a rug they said was back ordered. For 3 months. I eventually cancelled the order when I got tired of waiting. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, decided to try another order because they claimed to have the chair cushions I wanted in stock. Waited 2 months, made several frustrating phone calls, then eventually got an email saying that they had cancelled the order because they were not sure they had the item. I called to ask the, to reinstate the order because I wanted to see if they would ever actually produce any merchandise, and they said they could not reinstate but I could re-order the chair cushions. Wtf? I can place a new order for this item you don't have? Save yourself the jump in blood pressure and do not order from this company, their practices are fraudulent and nefarious.

Stay away

Ordered two rugs. Shipping was very slow for both. Weeks. One I kept but the other didn't look like the photo in the catalog so I needed to return it. Had to pay return shipping which was 1/4 the price of the rug. Two weeks later I checked to see if it had been credited to my Home depot account. It hadn't so I called, gave them the tracking number and said it had been received over a week prior. They said that when I mailed it I should have given them the tracking number because otherwise they don't know when the manufacturer received it. There is no communication between them and the manufacturer for returns?! Unbelievable. Since I called they said they'd issue a credit and it would show on my account in 5 to 7 days. A week later, still no credit. They sent me a voucher for a credit on a future purchase but I'll never buy here again. If Home Depot has them as affiliates on their website customers should be able to return at the store and be credited immediately.

Very dissapointed

My wife ordered three Carrington rugs from Home Decorators the first two were a 2'x6' and a 9'x5' which were delayed because they were not in stock, after several phone calls we were told they would ship from the manufacturer. When they finally arrived they looked fantastic so we decided to a 9'x12' this rug was delivered in a reasonable time with a free pad "WOW". Now here it is two months later and the carpet pile is pulling away (nap), called customer service and after 20 minutes of making them aware of this problem they said they could give us a $17.50 credit for each rug or $25.00 off our next purchase If they consider this customer service they're in the wrong business. Would these people really think I would purchase something from them again. If you're looking to purchase rugs from them go somewhere reputable and buy QUALITY RUGS instead of QUANTITY no wonder they were on sale look beautiful when first went down now look like "S--T"

HORRIBLE- not one thing I ordered came in a condition that I could keep it. Broken mirrors, broken glass and even broken wood. And now I have to fight for my money back.

I am an interior designer and ordered a shelf for a client. The box contained two left brackets making it impossible to assemble. When I called customer service they told me it was 72 hours to" process" the parts return and 7-10 days to receive a new one. I had to pay a carpenter to come out ( $65) to see that the part was wrong. The customer service had me on hold for a long time and their solution is not at all acceptable.

Kitchen nightmare

Do not order anything from this company. I ordered $5000 in kitchen cabinets in May and still do not have them all. Half did not arrive or came damaged. They lie and say they are shipping replacements but their carrier, supposedly UPS refuses to deliver them. Each week a new excuse. No answers as to where the stuff is, but they pretend it is our fault. Finally had them ship to Home Depot directly and they still have not delivered everything. Driver didn't feel like it, Home Decorators refuse to hellp. STAY AWAY!

I ordered a heavy mirror, and the pieces fell apart when we tried to hang it. It was put together with corrugated paper and thin, brittle plastic. In March, I began asking for a refund. It takes 2-3 week to get a response to an email or hours on hold on the phone. They must have two people in their nationwide call center. In May, they sent me a HDC gift card, but the numbers on it did not work. They said they cancelled that card and would send another. I never received another. After numerous inquiries, they finally told me on July 11 that they had refunded my credit card on June 22. I bought many things from HDC over the years, but service and quality have disappeared. I will never buy anything there again.

I recently purchased a 16-piece dinnerware set from Home Decorators Collection, and I am quite pleased with my purchase. The set came well-packed with no breakage and was delivered in a timely manner. The colors and the patterns were exactly what was pictured on-line. The cups were just the right size and feel good in my hand. Everything was just what I wanted!

Disgusting!

I would give ZERO stars! Ordered a bedroom set May 5. Charged for everything and still missing 3 items. Still havent received the footboard storage part of our bed, the chest or the mirror. Was told everytime we called that "the mirror will ship friday" its not even in STOCK! The bed is in stock but they wont send us the missing part bec "they need to do their investigation!"!?!? Claim to have resolved the issue with the chest. Took it off my visa but resent it and proceeded to charge my card $36.48!? Chest supposed to arrive July 9, Not holding my breah. After almost 2 months of my husband and I talking to the shipping company and the company nothing is resolved. I could write a book about all this! We are sleeping with our mattress on the floor! DISGUSTING! Not to mention $500 shipping charge!

Stay AWAY!

We ordered a run in March with a 2-week delivery. Never received an update and my wife finally called in May and they told us it was delayed and wouldn't ship until June. Wife called in June, again no contact from them, and we were told it wouldn't ship until August! We wanted this for the summer! My wife told them she wanted a refund and to cancel the order (because they charged the card back in March) and they said that it's not likely the order can be cancelled! This company is basically a scam! DO NOT PURCHASE. PROTECT YOURSELF!

NIGHTMARE

If I could give no stars, I would. In February, I placed an order totaling $1900 for an office center that consisted of 5 pieces. Two of the five pieces were damaged because they used an obscure, no name delivery man (not company) to deliver the items. I placed the order for 2 replacement pieces at the end of February. It is now almost June and I am still waiting on the last piece. Their email response to inquires contain boilerplate information that has proven to be wrong on more than one occasion. They do not provide shipping tracking numbers unless pushed to ship via UPS. They have no explanation for why it has taken this long to get my furniture. For all of this, I have been given $89- not even enough to cover the tax on my order. They are a NIGHTMARE. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Do not order from here if you actually want to see your furniture. My next step is to have American Express refund my money for the outstanding piece and fight it out with Home Decorators.

Ordered a patio table and chairs from them2 months ago. We were promised delivery within 3 weeks it is now 2 months. Their trucking company scheduled 2 delivery times and didn't make either one, arrived 2.5 hours after second delivery time to not have every box. They couldn't even tell us the box missing and said it had all been in the warehouse for 3 weeks at least. We refused items and are canceling it all. Husband took off a day from work to be stood up. Ridiculous and never shopping with them again.
