The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in customer satisfaction when it comes to specific contractors and service providers, who are often praised for professionalism and quality work. However, significant concerns arise regarding the lead generation service, with numerous customers expressing frustration over poor-quality leads, lack of refunds for invalid contacts, and overwhelming solicitations. Many reviews indicate a decline in service quality following the merger with Angie's List, leading to a perception of the company as unreliable. Overall, while individual service experiences can be positive, systemic issues with lead handling and customer support remain prevalent.

Excellent. Efficient, reasonably priced, professional, friendly.
I would never use Angi again as there is simply too much with emails etc. it becomes one big pain in the $#*!.
I had a few repair type dry wall projects that needed to be done. My go-to contractor has retired and moved away, so I felt lost as to how to even begin to find someone to do the work. I thought I'd start my search with Angi. I found a dry wall contractor very quickly who had good reviews... we connected and the work began pretty quickly... looks great... what a great experience using HomeAdvisor/Angi.
I requested bids for a deck-- not answer. I requested help with rodents and indicated I was available for an appointment and no one showed. I won't use them again.
I found it difficult to leave a review for my most efficient worker. TOO MANY EMAILS! I had to unsubscribe.
HomeAdvisor completely wasted two days of my time for no reason. I scheduled a cleaning a week in advance and was charged immediately for April 13 2022 they send me a text cancelling 15 minutes before and rescheduled for *******@0800 which at 7:37 I've received a text that they would be 30 minutes late. I waited til 9:40 after repeatedly calling and texting back no one showed. They offered nothing for me being late two days in a week. Actually I was offered 10 off another purchase. AS IF ID BOOK THEM AGAIN. They then canceled my order to which they gave me people I could call myself and ended up have to pay an extra 50 for same day fee because they suck at their job. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM JUST GO DIRECT
Excellent. Cody did everything he said he would do, and a little extra, for substantially
Less than the other estimates
Found reputable contractor and will recommend this company
My experience was great. I would definitely refer them to my family and friends. It took away the hassle of trying to find someone on my own. I'm glad companies like this exist. Thank You
I set up a home cleaning this past Tuesday. Was told by Home Advisor that they would clean for 3 hours and the professional would contact me with their info. I never received their info but, the day of service someone emailed me and asked me if I had a vacuum that theirs broke. I said yes. One girl came and cleaned for 2 hrs. Spent most of the time upstairs on the phone cleaning 2 baths and 1 bedroom. She did not do a thorough job. Mirrors smudged, dust behind things on floor and furniture was only spot cleaned (still dust behind lamps and on top of dresser). Downstairs was worse. I immediately called HA and they said they would send someone else out in 2 days. Half hour before they were to arrive I received an email from HA that they had to cancel and would reschedule 2 days late on Saturday, I called and told them this wouldn't work I had company coming. The HA rep told me she could put me on schedule for Friday but can see that they did not have any companies available. So why would you book me? She then told she could give me the contractors phone number and I could call... I told her that was their job to find and schedule a cleaning company. By the way, they never told me the first company name that came out. I was told she was an individual with no company her name was Kayla. And they did not have any reviews on her, now I see why! After getting the run around with the HA rep I told her to cancel everything I am very disappointed in their handling of finding a reputable person to clean and for not being able to professionally handle the situation. I guess I will have to find someone on my own. I would not recommend using Home Advisor they sent out someone they didn't even know and then kept trying to reschedule with no available cleaning companies. They need to review their company
Definitely like Angi and home advisor. I recommend home advisor. At least 3 options to call contractors and info plus reviews are helpful in choosing a business.
I find it hard to believe that you are asking for a credit card number over the phone when calling me. Since I have know way to verify who has called me this seem like a poor policy. Neve going to happen with me.
I must've received 30 calls on the first day no one left a voicemail very dissatisfied with that when I asked one company to remove my number he hung up on me. I will never use home advisor or Angie again
Was painless and an efficient use of my time. I didn't have to go to all my neighbors and ask for recommendations also did not have to pour thru a million websites trying to decide who to hire
I went to Angi for plumbing & heating contractor reference. As with many sites, one has to click through ratings to get a sense of who to pick. It would be better to have a way to enter search and evaluation criteria to make a first cut.
Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
Answer: I don't know about the house cleaners but, I do not trust the company based on my own recent experience.
Answer: You don't know you have to call home advisor and wait on the phone for an hr until they pick up
