The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in customer satisfaction when it comes to specific contractors and service providers, who are often praised for professionalism and quality work. However, significant concerns arise regarding the lead generation service, with numerous customers expressing frustration over poor-quality leads, lack of refunds for invalid contacts, and overwhelming solicitations. Many reviews indicate a decline in service quality following the merger with Angie's List, leading to a perception of the company as unreliable. Overall, while individual service experiences can be positive, systemic issues with lead handling and customer support remain prevalent.

Very happy with the results I received from my inquiry.
Quick turnaround and good workmanship. I was very happy with everything and would use this company again.
I was having carpet installed and did get a local company that I was happy with. Unfortunately they sent a request to a woman who does throw rug restoration and dose not do carpet installation.
I hired Heathco Plumbing, LLC to come out and fix some plumbing problems at our place based on previous reviews I read in HomeAdvisor. I am pleased to say that I will consult HomeAdvisor and take their advice on which contractors and companies are among the best in our DFW Metroplex Area. They had excellent reviews about those who had used Heathco Plumbing, LLC and HomeAdvisor was right on the money in recommending Heathco as a superior plumbing business that could be trusted to get the job done right and at a reasonable charge. Much appreciation to HomeAdvisor and to Heathco!
They keep calling me. I ve had to block numerous numbers. Very annoying.
I requested a quote and within 30 min I had been contacted by one of their contractors. This contractor was hired and he did an excellent job. I was contacted within a few hours by 2 additional contractors also. However, when I went to leave a review for my contractor, I had to sign up for home advisor emails. Then, my review never was added to their reviews. I have tried 4 times and haven't seen it yet. Very frustrating.
I just got home advisor less than a month ago and I haven't cleaned any houses and they're charging me $1257. Nobody told me I would get an additional charge.
I was looking for bimonthly cleaning. I was given multiple companies to speak with including their reviews. This the easy way to find a contractor
The service staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Sam discussed the problem and looked over the whole unit before making the repair. He made suggestions to keep the unit running more efficiently. I inquired about my heating unit and he provided information for me to make an informed decision on repair or replace the unit. Did not try to push me one way or another, just provided the facts.
They kept me updated and cleaned the area when they finished.
Home advisor gave my project request to a few people and I'm happy about that because I was able to get projects done at a great price.
I highly recommend Homeadvisor for their professionalism quick communication execution skill. They have experience.
Don't use Angi! You have no guarantee that your money is safe or that the work will get done. I used them to get a contractor to fix our sprinkler system, we paid $4,000 through Angi and then got ghosted by the contractor. Angi won't give us a refund, wont call us back, won't do anything to correct the problem. I am pretty sure this company is a scam and I am going to have to hire a lawyer to get my money back!
I joined this app to have an inside painting project completed. I paid an annual fee and scheduled the project. I was notified by email on the morning of the project that it was being rescheduled for two days later. When I looked at my account I had been charged a $20.00 rescheduling fee. I cancelled the project on line and called customer service to find out that I had already been charged the full amount for the the proiject! The only 5thing they did right was promise a full refund of my project cost and my membership.
I was charged 1265. 00 for a small plumbing job to replace 3 Kitchen fixtures. Their customer service is clearly outsourced and English is not there primary language. It's very difficult to communicate. No one will help review my account for reimbursement. They charged my debit card 3 separate times. Frustrated! Will NEVER use these people again.
This experience was great. I would not go through HomeAdvisor or Angi unless you truly have no choice. Damon was the best lead. So called "Pros" in other areas of work have been disappointing.
Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
Answer: I don't know about the house cleaners but, I do not trust the company based on my own recent experience.
Answer: You don't know you have to call home advisor and wait on the phone for an hr until they pick up
