I was trying to find a roof repair company and getting one to come out that day was virtually imposable. As soon as I signed up for Hone Advisor I had three companies waiting to come out to my house that day.

My initial call for getting my gutters cleaned was good but did cost me time. The customer service was great however I was specific regarding I had a 3 level house and the back area was particularly high. HomeAdvisor sent 1 person to do this job and although very nice and knowledgeable it was definitely a 2 person job. So, I had to reschedule which took additional time (to call and set up appointment and required me to be available another day and time). Although very satisfied with the service when I did get it.

I was able to book a simple gutter cleaning and repair job through this service. However, on the day of the service I received notification stating that no one had picked up the job and my booking was moved to another day not of my choosing. When that day arrived I received text confirmation and a name and number to call of the contractor. When he failed to show up, I tried to call the number - no reply and not accepting messages. So, no way to contact the contractor. When I called HomeAdvisor they could not explain whether the guy was on his way and told me I had to reschedule, yet again. I declined because I have no confidence that the job will actually happen.
Wonderful experience with HGH. They are the most wonderful people. And, they refinished my deck as if it were their own. They receive my highest recommendation.
I like Home Advisor because it save me time looking for a service provider, The website is design to put so much details of my project and the result is great, I get call from provider who does exactly what I need to get done. So that is why I use them all the time, through Home Advisor where i get my roof replaced, and plumping work done and yard work done. Thanks,
The site's algorithm drives toward a certain outcome but yard work is so variable that it puts the contractor in an awkward position of needing to renegotiate according to the actual work to be done. Might be better to have certain types of work fall into a category that immediately connects to the contractor to get a better estimate of the work.

Estimates received from 3 sources... One only interested in replacement... Estimate 7x more than requested scope of job $2,300 v. $300... Called two other firms to schedule work at least 2 times each, but neither never responded to do so... Again, probably only interested if other work more lucrative.
Very prompt contact from the company after submitting request for the work. Next day the work was done vey quickly and cleaned up the area very well. Cost was reasonable. Great job.

Someone called promptly for the service I needed. But, they bombarded me for other services or other phone numbers of the service I needed. I took the service that called because I already had some estimates and knew a good price. Why should I do the extra calling again? Please stop bugging me with other services I don't want. It's annoying. I will not recommend you because of it. I am not leaving my email again. I keep unsubscribing you! It is an email I use for services like you!
