I have used Home Advisor (HA) for a handful of projects, luckily for me, with the last 2 projects HA reached out to me following my initial inquiry to follow up with the status of each project. I assume home projects have been kicking off like crazy with everyone being stuck at home due to covid, and I had problems with contractors actually honoring their appointment schedules. My HA Project Advisor was able to review contractors with me over the phone; screening for number of ratings, overall ratings, and locality. Then, my Project Advisor personally reached out to the contractors to introduce me. This HA service led me to the contractor I eventually hired for my project.
Very good work would recommend them anytime. One time clean up as they go no paint anywhere but on the baseboard. Very friendly

We needed someone to build a small apartment in our lower level for my elderly parents. We put our information/need on Home Advisors. That very same day I got a call back, had builder come out, talked to him telling him what we needed done. About a week later he gave us a bid and we ended up hiring him. Very pleased with the bid and outcome of our apartment.

They are a rip off with No customer help or No contractor help it's all about ripping people off for money and not doing anything to begin.
They are serious about ripping off contractors and taking money they're not even supposed to take and no refunds whatsoever they will hang up the phone and customer service will not call back. The worst experience ever and 30 years of construction.
