HomeAdvisor is a good business idea, however, once you provide your name, address and contact information, the calls from prospective contractors begin immediately and the vendors aren't always as professional as I would prefer. When I was in need of paint professionals, I received calls from HomeAdvisor paint vendors who questioned me about the urgency of my project, promised to call back, and didn't. When I was in need of pressure washing services, I received an immediate call from a guy in Georgia who pulled up my home on Google Maps and began to quote prices to me based on what he saw on Google Maps. He estimated that my project would cost $1,000. The contractor I eventually hired through HomeAdvisor did the work for half of that estimate. The home repair industry is obviously unregulated. It would be helpful if HomeAdvisor provided the consumer with more up front information about the vendors in their database and the screening and background checks that were done before accepting them.
I have used Home Advisors for three home projects recently; electrical, painting and appliance repair. All the contractors were timely, polite and completed the job professionally.

The experience was not great at first. Getting bombed by texts and emails is not fun for me. However, when I had the time to look at the suggested contractors, I was quickly able to pick 3 to request quotes. All 3 were very prompt and professional. The contractor we choose was the best home service construction contactor we have ever used. I will definitely be using HomeAdjiser again.
Once again Home Advisor has helped me find a home pro who does a great job at a reasonable price. I appreciate the vetting you do with your vendors, I have never had a bad experience.

The guys got to my home 20 minutes early. It look longer than expected. They arrived on November 14 and didn't finish til November 16. The machine they originally had stopped working. The next day they got a new one, but had to leave to find out why the pressure was so low. I don't blame them. These were unforeseen events. I would recommend them highly.
The crew was very knowledgeable in design and material To be used for the project.The job was started and finished on time. Also the area around the project was kept neat and clean at all times. Project looks great!
