I have had good experience with home advisor. I haven't had a whole lot of need for home advisor but now that I needed them, they came through in a pinch. Fast service.

My wife went to Home Advisor for a window cleaner and for an electrician to install overhead recessed lights.
Home Advisor quoted my wife a price for cleaning the windows and she accepted the quote. When the window cleaner came (who did a good job) he showed that his work order was for cleaning the INSIDE of the windows only. Of course Home Advisor never told my wife she was only going to get half a job!
My wife got a quote for the recessed lamps and, again, Home Advisor gave her a quote without seeing the job.
She had already purchased the light fixtures and the dimmer switch, which was needed for the location she wanted the switch. The electrician shows up and tells us (what Home Advisor never did) that he would route the circuit another way that would cut his time and therefore allow him to do the work in the time "estimated" by Home Advisor. Of course, that was not the way she wanted the circuit routed and so the cost went up.
From these two experiences, we will never go to Home Advisor again. The workers may or may not be good, but Home Advisor, itself, appears (to me) to operating as a bait and switch outfit.
