This guy was NOT an electrician. Admitted to me that he's done odd jobs for friends and family. It took him THREE HOURS to replace an EXISTING ceiling fan. I feel like I was ripped off. 367 bucks... ARE YOU KIDDING ME HOME ADVISOR? AND... When I tried to complain to them yesterday... they sent me an email stating they would be in touch in "under 60 minutes". I'm STILL waiting for that phone call.

Every time I need some work done I automatically go to HomeAdvisor. They do all the vetting of qualified contractors and I appreciate that service.
Needed to replace stucco on chimney. Did not know of any contractors, nor did I know what the extent of the repairs would be. Home advisors had a list of contractors in area. Within an hour one contractor called, and by end of day, 2 others had called. I had 3 estimates within 2 days.

The only problem I had with HA was that there were just too many emails and text messages sent at one time. It was troublesome trying to keep up with the many references even though I did inquire about many projects that I had in mind? Before I knew it I had referrals to even the projects that were only in the planning stages (between the Roofers, Deck contractor, Handyman and Floor modification contractor I was looking at $18,000+ in workmanship? Not the kind of money that I intended to spend right away so the roof and the deck took precedence. The rest had to be delayed to next year (2021).
