The service did supply handyman however their site does not have a place to state the project had been completed and I received numerous phone calls and texts from various handymen and form the service itself long after the project was completed. I will never use them again.
Found the right contractor for the job. Followed up to make sure we connected.
I put in 3 issues that I was having. I needed a concrete patch in my driveway, a facia repair and an exhaust fan installed. My phone IMMEDIATELY started ringing with people offering me new roofs, new gutters and new driveways. I was bombarded by services that I DID NOT NEED! Finally, I received a call from a concrete guy who was willing to do a smaller job and I was able to get an electrician for the bathroom fan on the first try. However, I stopped taking all of the calls and I still need a facia board replaced, because asking for a small repair and being upsold for gutter and roofing jobs over and over was a waste of my time. I'm still cringing when the phone rings or when I get a new email.

I had no idea who to call when needing a 3 1/2 year old Lennox heating and cooling system replaced. Contacted HomeAdvisor, and got a call from a contractor who was friendly, professional, prompt, and quoted a decent price.
My company used to provide their call center services and I would deal with the horror of angry callers not being kept in the loop, charging but not having someone arrive, and of course the call center itself you cannot get through to anyone other than an agent. The only good thing that came out of my using them was finding my amazing cleaning crew. However, they did the usual... poor call center service, they couldn't get me the details of my cleaning service after 3 fails. AWFUL experience.

Have used HomeAdvisor twice now. Received immediate bids on the two projects, and all work was done at reasonable cost and quickly. Workers came at appointed time and left worksite clean.
Given names and contact info on 5 contractors, all of whom were professional and courteous.
Yuriy showed up and got right on the job. He reconfigured the valve and hot water once again made it to the faucet!
Emmanuel came out and gave me a bid for the work. His crew did excellent work on 7 live oaks. They were very friendly and easy to work with.

We were very pleased by the competent professional work performed by Marcela.
She was hired to organize an apartment occupied by our mother who died at age 100, and lived in a condo in Sarasota for over 40 years. We were unable to personally to see the apartment due to covid issues restricting travel. Marcela accomplished the tasks of sorting, shipping, and cleaning. She also hired her contractor who made some alterations and painted the apartment. As a result of her efforts we were able to put the condo on the market and it was sold within six weeks from the time that she was hired.
The cost was very reasonable and the service overall was excellent.

Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
