The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in customer satisfaction when it comes to specific contractors and service providers, who are often praised for professionalism and quality work. However, significant concerns arise regarding the lead generation service, with numerous customers expressing frustration over poor-quality leads, lack of refunds for invalid contacts, and overwhelming solicitations. Many reviews indicate a decline in service quality following the merger with Angie's List, leading to a perception of the company as unreliable. Overall, while individual service experiences can be positive, systemic issues with lead handling and customer support remain prevalent.

Very satisfied with the handyman that did the job and will use him again
Mario and his team removed some dead shrubs, installed a border, some pavers and rock.
It looks great and I am well pleased.
HomeAdvisor always comes through for me when I'm looking for experienced good workers.
Quick Response. Good experience. Unfortunately, your survey to describe my experience in this box is too picky!
Well they gave me several businesses to choose from for my project. I was reading the reviews and researching the companies through other resources when 3 of the companies started calling. Two of them I could not understand and I set an appointment with the one I could. One of the others just showed up and provided a quote but it was very hard to communicate with him. I would have preferred that I made the first contact after my research was done.
This was my first time using home advisor and I'm so glad I did. I got several quotes almost immediately and had the job scheduled with the hour.
It's hard to get a list of professionals that I can browse. If I click around the site becomes unresponsive. I start a project but initially I am only permitted to see the few contractors that Home Advisors recommends. Sometimes it says none available! Ridiculous. If I log out and login later then I can access a longer list of contractors for my project. I tried to login just now to start a new project and the wheel just kept spinning. This happened last time too, it wouldn't stop spinning. The site doesn't respond.
I have a antique floor furnace in my house which most HVAC companies will not work on, because of the age of the unit or they try to sell you a new one. I did not want a new furnace I just wanted mine repaired. Total Home Environmental contacted me after only you few minutes. Gordon and Cesar was here in the after noon and gave me a true evaluation for the repairs required, after I thought it over I agreed with what Gordon had said. The next day Harrison and Cesar were here removed old non working parts and took them back to the shop a few hours later they returned and installed mostly new parts and a cleaned burner. The floor furnace is now working like new with a nice blue flame and more heat than it has put out in years. The problems have been resolved and I do recommend there company for any others which have antique floor furnaces. THANKS AGAIN Total Home Environmental, Gordon, Harrison and Cesar for the fine five star job you guys did.
Had a little trouble finding review section but went smoothly after that

Because of the Covid-19, I felt sorry for him and his family and gave him more money than I should have. I still owe him about a 1/4 of his quoted price.
I am 70 years old and so unhappy this contractor took advantage of me and my basement is not finished after more than a year.
Job was completed quickly and well done Mr Lentz is experienced and friendly. The job was completed quickly and no messed left behind.
Jon, fit me in the next day! He was on time and did a great job. I never had a whole house humidifier and this works great. Makes the house feel warmer.
The house cleaners did a thorough and excellent job. I was very impressed.
After the neutral line was blown loose on a windy day, I started having electrical problems with my 1960's era house. I Googled "Home Electronics Repair" and found HomeAdvisor. I filled out an online form, and was emailed a reply and got a phone call from a helpful HomeAdvisor representative. After I explained that the problem was not an emergency, I was given the phone number and website of an electrical repair firm, whom I contacted directly.
HomeAdivsor has contacts with many types of home repair/renovation firms. It will be my first contact for future home repair/renovations.
HomeAdvisor had Panhandle Well Service to my home within 45 minutes and my problem was resolved within 10 minutes thereafter on a Saturday. FANTASTIC experience!
Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
Answer: I don't know about the house cleaners but, I do not trust the company based on my own recent experience.
Answer: You don't know you have to call home advisor and wait on the phone for an hr until they pick up
