Do not use HomeAdvisor's suggested contractors, as in my case, they were not insured, took a down payment and then disappeared without do a thing for which they were contracted for(hardwood refinishing).
I have called HomeAdvisor at least 6 times and have been given other phone numbers or tried to switch me to their solutions dep't without any success. Disconnected on three of the calls, and selected a call back feature never to be called back. I suggest you don't Use HomeAdvisor for your contractor needs. Use friends, family, etc to find a reputable contractor.
We hired first contractor that inder estimated work / job, way out of there league, waited awhile and got 1/3 in and quit! Then we used Angi list and Hitrd Belco demolition out of jersey, wr are in abington, Done very professional? Got permits dumpsters
A + Garage Doors was very quick to respond and came to fix the door the next day. The technician was very knowledgable, skilled and friendly. He figured out what was wrong and gave me recommendations as what would be needed to make it work. He also offered options in handling the greater problems. He discounted repair and material costs and serviced the door. I would recommend them over any other garage door services I have used over the years. I actually did not expect the door to be able to work again.
The customer service person was very nice, helpful and professional. He was able to get me the help I needed. It was accomplished in one day. The person he recommended was excellent.

For our condo we contacted management company for a plumbing referral to replace old water heater. The management company gave a referral which we contacted. The referral was very unresponsive and seemed expensive, so we searched Anji and found an outstanding plumber( very responsive and much less expensive -$500!)
